What’s Happening At Hatch
Hatch is Manchester’s new pop-up destination on Oxford Road and is the perfect spot for an al fresco lunch, a working coffee, an after-work beer or some indie shopping. Here’s all the latest Hatch happenings:
New Street Food Friends
A brand-new trio of street food traders are now settled in at the courtyard
Fabulous Fillipino with Mama Z: Mama Z is a girl on a mission to share her love of Filipino cuisine. Her authentic, home-cooked menu includes meat and vegan options such as aubergine sisig, chicken adobo and jackfruit adobo pops. In a Hatch first if you BYOC (bring your own container) you'll be treated to a discount with your purchase!
Arancini adoration with T'Arricrii: For Sicilian brothers Riccardo and Romeo who head up T’Arricrii this is a brand-new venture which they’re debuting at Hatch. Specialising in arancini of multiple varieties (with meat, fish and veggie options), juices made with Sicilian fruits and cannolos, these brothers are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face with their authentic, delicious arancini as well as their passion for Italian and Sicilian food and drink.
Pan-Asian treats are a cookin’ with Woks Cluckin: Indie purveyors of fresh, tasty Pan-Asian street food, Woks Cluckin will have their wok fired up daily and amongst many other delights will be serving up their signature dish of Korean fried chicken with kimchi.
Firebird Hope: Hatch favourites Firebird Hope are sticking around at Hatch for the next 12 weeks. They’ll be serving up their two remarkable sandwiches; the free-range fried chicken ‘Level-Up’ and the vegan fried ’Triple 6’, both served on sourdough buns with unique condiments and a top-secret seasoning.
All of this is complemented as ever by local craft beers and natural wines from Ol, and artisan coffee, cakes and more by Takk.

Bee in the City: Hatch is very happy to be part of Bee in the City! The Hatch bee, designed by Kim Hubball is called 'My Heart Belongs in this Place'. Find out more about Kim's inspiration here. People with the app downloaded will also be able to unlock a special Hatch discount.
Reggae yoga: Wednesday August 1st, 7:45am-8:30am. Roots reggae beats with yoga – why wouldn’t you? Yoga fans should check out Hatch’s outdoor sunrise reggae yoga! The free pop up event will be held in the courtyard from 7:45-8:30am and will help kick start the day in the right way with some big tunes and an uplifting flow. Free. Pre-registration required
Floating Art painting workshop: Sunday August 5th, 3-5pm. Try your hand at painting your own version of Van Gogh’s Iris with Floating Art this Sunday and impress your friends with the masterpiece you’ll take home at the end. Experience his brushworks, colour mixing, composition and emotional expression. Tickets are £20 or available as buy one get one half price. All materials included. Deaf Institute pre-party: Friday 10th August, 5-10pm. In celebration of Oxford Road institution Deaf Institute turning 10, Hatch will be hosting the pre-party for ‘Derrick does deaf’. Expect disco and deep house from special guest DJs and a live stream from MCR Live. Free.
Screen printing workshop with Kim Hubball: Sunday August 19th. Hatch’s bee artist Kim will be popping up in the Hatch courtyard with a stall selling some of her fantastic work. Kim will also be giving you the opportunity to screen print your own bee tote bag at three 45 minute drop in sessions starting at approximately 12:30, 2pm and 3.30pm. Free.
Future Bubblers block party with Gilles Peterson: Saturday 18th August, 2-10pm. Gilles Peterson’s talent discovery and development project is all about digging out and supporting the freshest and most innovative music makers from across England. For one day only Future Bubblers is coming to Hatch to find and celebrate Manchester’s most exciting emerging musical talent with a special block party, where ‘Future Bubblers’ will take over the Hatch courtyard with an array of live music, DJs, skipping ropes, hula hoops and general good vibes. Local artists will be playing amongst current and previous artists, or “Bubblers” who have been nurtured by the scheme. This is the perfect opportunity to come by and find out more about the project and how you can potentially apply and jump on board! Free entry and open to all.
Izzie Walsh’s open mic night: Wednesday 22nd August, 7-10pm. In the next instalment of this monthly event, Izzie Walsh will introduce you to 10 new acts. All performers receive a free drink token for playing. Interested in joining in? Contact @izziewalshmusic on Instagram. Free.
Hatch does Pride: Saturday 25th – Monday 27th August. Hatch will be hosting a fabulous family-friendly, glitter-filled takeover across Pride weekend. Morning Gloryville will be taking over the decks for some sober raving from 7-11am on Saturday followed by Disco Mums playing a special 6 hour set on the Sunday. Expect special brunch menus, dancers and the opportunity to fabulize yourself in the Wish Upon a Sparkle photobooth. Morning Gloryville: tickets £20 (on sale Tuesday 31st July). Free entry at all other times.
Resident DJs: every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Hatch’s resident DJs will continue to provide live beats every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the courtyard. Previous DJs have included Pasta Paul, Living Room Dance Club and Chris Massey. Free.
