The White Hart, Kendal – Moving With The Times
The White Hart in the centre of Kendal has a striking new look following a refurbishment from Robinsons Brewery. The renovation was carried out in order to modernise the pub, creating a more warm and welcoming atmosphere during the day, whilst maintaining its reputation as a lively and popular night venue during the weekends.
Helen and Wayne Chorley have been licensees at the White Hart for 17 years but have worked at the pub since 1976 when Helen’s parents first ran it. Says Helen: “Our pub has been in the family for over 40 years, so it was really important that we delivered a refurbishment that showed how the pub has changed and moved with the times. The White Hart has now been brought up to date, and has been transformed into a unique local that caters for all ages.”
The pub has undergone a complete transformation now offering a more expansive, relaxed environment to the locals of Kendal, with the addition of innovative neon flower feature wallpaper and new indoor and outdoor lighting, setting the perfect mood for a great experience; whatever the weather or time of day. The bar has been repositioned further back and features galvanized panel fronts, forming a roomier area, that is better ergonomically designed for speed of service. The pub feels fresh, modern and stylish with an upgraded external drinking area, designed to attract a wider range of customers throughout the day to try their delicious new food and drink offering, including an enhanced premium spirits and wines collection as well as some new continental lagers.
