Wreckfish, The Restaurant That Could Be
UPDATE: Gary achieved his target within a month raising more than £200,000 from 1,466 individual backers. It's the biggest amount ever raised for a restaurant on Kickstarter. Wreckfish is scheduled to open on October 23 and is now taking bookings. BOOK HERE.
Gary Usher opened the Sticky Walnut in Chester in 2011. In 2014 it won AA Restaurant of the Year. He went to the bank to borrow money for a second venue. The bank said no; he did it anyway through crowdfunding. Burnt Truffle in Heswall was born. Then Hispi in Didsbury, crowdfunded again. Now he wants £200,000 of your money to open Wreckfish in Liverpool. The crowdfunding campaign launches on May 2. Don't miss the video, it's a REAL eye-opener.
