Chae’s Chips – BoltonDecided to visit Retreat after seeing their current offer 50% off on Sunday until the end of February. When we arrived we were instantly impressed, the decor is modern and relaxing. There were not many people dining but we were all sat in the same area so it felt busier. As it had been snowing it was a lovely touch that the fire was on full blast, just what we needed. I can't wait to go back in the summer to take advantage of the outside dining area. My partner and I shared a Tapas Trio Starter, which consisted of Prawns, Meatballs, Cheesy Rice Balls and Garlic Bread. Each one of these were superb, fresh flavours and just the thing to wet our appetites. For our mains my partner had the Sirloin Steak with Peppercorn Sauce which was accompanied by chips, roasted cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. He enjoyed this very much, I had the Beef and Mushroom Pie which was lovely, the pastry was light and the sauce was rich and flavoursome. The dessert for me was fantastic, I had the Chocolate Fudge Cake with cream. I have had many in my time but this was the most light, fluffy indulgent cake I have ever had. Invariably the fudge and sauce takes away from the cake but this one is all about the cake. Delightful! Glad I squeezed it in. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxing meal just the two of you, family get together or a night out with friends as the atmosphere would accommodate all those options. The menu would appeal to everyone and from what I saw everything is of the highest quality as we experienced. The Lamb Shank on the next table looked amazing! Give it a try, I promise you will love it!
Retreat – BoltonGreat food and friendly staff, best Rib eye steak I`ve ever had,!!
Tavern Fayre – BoltonA very disappointing visit !! Having arrived early, to enjoy a drink in the bar, we were ushered to our table, half way through our drink. We then ordered, and finished 4 courses within 45 minutes!!!!!!. The first course was brought out of sequence, and therefore, subsequent courses were kept warm. As a consequence, our main courses were over cooked. At the end of our very quick meal, when asked if everything had been ok, I pointed out that I had only eaten half of my main course because it was over cooked. This just got a cursory " oh, I am sorry " This was our first visit, and although it looked like this was not a typical example of this restaurant, it may well be our last. NB It was our wedding anniversary.
San Marino – Boltontop restaurant in farnworth! loved the food.. loved the prices!!!
Indigo – BoltonThe food was 6STARS absolutely great good food good price the lounge is cool, i would highly recommend! excellent service top menu!
Indigo Restaurant – BoltonWe've been going to La Roma now for over 18 months and we've always had a great meal. The pizza's are great, just like in Italy. We love it and can't wait to go again very soon.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonExcellent food, well presented in a good atmosphere with friendly service. Reasonably priced with some good offers via their website, early bird, etc.. Mixed menu, Greek, Italian, British, Mexican, etc, Plenty of grill and fish options and a decent choice for the vegetarians amongst us. Additional specials menu also available. A gang of us went simply to give it a try as it hasn't been open long, well worth repeat visits.
Retreat – Boltonhad my daughters 18th birthday at this restaurant it was really well done. the plates used for the courses are all very fancy and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good
San Marino – BoltonHighly recommended for food quality and service. We have been on many occasions and the food just seems to get better and better, so much so we took ten friends on New Year Eve and on one of the busiest nights of the year everybody thought the meal was superb. Many thanks again
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonHEY PEEPZ, I WOULDD RECOMMEND U THIS TAKEAWAY AS THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY FINGER LICKING!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN THEIR CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS NOW.
Naz Takeaway – BoltonI agree with Duncan. The fish was huge, the chips real, the tartare sauce homemade and the best I've ever had, and the mushies had some sort of spices/flavourings but the chef wouldn't tell us his secret.
The Brewhouse – BoltonThe Brew house falls in the gastro pub category for sure and in my opinion is 1 of the best examples in the area. With the resurgence in gastro pubs over the past few years, it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd, but The Brew House certainly does stand out for the following reasons: - The food is amazing! I had the beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tarter source. The portions are hearty as they should be in a gastro pub and everything was made from scratch Inc the Hand cut chips, fresh tarter source and the most amazing mushy peas. For desert I had the wild berry cheesecake which was fantastic and light and the base nice and crunchy. - I'm not one for real ales and bitters, but the micro brewery is very impressive and a nice back drop whilst sat eating your meal. - Most of the menu seems locally sourced, seasonal and made to order. The head chef even found time to come to our table to see how we found the food. All in all, the Brew House is one of the best gastro pubs I have ever been to and is well worth a visit. Enjoy.
The Brewhouse – BoltonThis is one of our restaurants and proves you don't have to travel far to find the best! This restaurant has a great ambience, fantastic service and good food. We've had several meals at this restaurant and can honestly say we have never been disappointed.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonHave just visited this local restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. The staff are extremely welcoming and the service we received was great. The meal we had was wonderful and we have already been again. This restaurant deserves all the praise and is up there with the best restaurants in Manchester. We could not fault it and glad we have found this little gem.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonExcellent chippy with friendly staff.
Chae’s Chips – BoltonFirstly, i would like to say that the staff & management, at La Roma were fantastic, and gave a very personalised service. Secondly, the food, was amazing. With the preconceptions that it would be just like other Italian restaurant, the pasta was gorgeous, and the "La Roma" Pizza, which includes EVERYTHING, was a good choice, and executed in style. We will be going back time after time, and look forward to booking the Xmas party. Nice touch with the Ducati in the bar too!!
