Prashad has the best vegetarian food as well as a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Eating here is always a treat - there is nothing like it.

Mother's Day. We make it a point to come here to celebrate. Minal had put on a special Mother's Day Platter: Paneer Pakoras but being vegan we opted for the aubergine fritters instead; spinach and potato bondas; special vegetable samosas and baby spring rolls. We had a masala dosa and Kaushy's famous chick-pea chole with puris. The sambar was pure ambrosia! It was truly a meal to savour.

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and when deciding where to go for a meal Prashad was top of the list. Wow!!!! just like previous visits to this fantastic restaurant we sampled great tasting food (working our way through the entire menu) and our hosts the Patel brothers were on their usual top form making us feel very welcome. They even surprised us with a complimentary desert (Indian carrot cake and ice cream) and it was delicious -thank you very much. We have a 30 mile round trip to eat at Prashad and said that if it was around the corner from our house we would be there every day.

It's pretty obvious that all the previous comments have been written by the same person so are actually of no value whatsoever. I won't be going there if the owner's the only person recommending it!

I met Bobby Patel for a business meeting - Bobby 'treated' me to a taster of his restaurants cuisine. I was bowled over: beautiful, intense, rich, gorgeous flavours. I never imagined in my wildest dreams vegetarian food could taste so very good - and I'm a stoic meat eater! I would recommend Prashads to anyone interested in an authentic and mouthwatering experience.

Food good, owner charming but man behind the cash desk rude and offensive. When I pointed out I had been overcharged, instead of apologising HE was mad with ME! I can do without that so go to another round the corner!

I can't recommend Prashad highly enough. Great food, friendly service and a real treat for vegetarians - they get to order from the whole menu for once. We visit at least once a month and have never been disappointed.

All I can say is wow! Really fantastic food, lovely textures, great menu and I'm not even veggie. My first time and it's all just superbly yummy! Very reasonable and such fantastic friendly service too, can't wait for my next taste, would highly recommend :)

I am a chef in Bradford and have been using the Punjab for over 10 years, on the week I moved house I ate there every night! When I owned a local English restaurant my chefs and I ate there on our split shift break every Saturday. Reliable, always good, sometimes brilliant, the punjab never disappoints. Try the spicy chapple kebabs, the excellent masala fish and superb curries like saag gosht and karahi punjabi chicken as well as authentic specialities such as paya and niharee lamb. But above all eat the breads, hot and fresh from the tandoor.

Had a brilliant Karahi Ghost there on Friday with two friends, accompanied by the best Perswari Naan I have ever had. Be warned however that this is an Indian for Indians. No alcohol, just regularly filled flip top bottles of cold, crystal clear free water. All for £11 per head including Poppadoms and pickles, starters, main course, rice, nanns and roti. Yum yum!

Not just the best Indian restaurant I have visited (and it tops this category with flying colours) but quite possibly the best restaurant I have ever visited. We've been coming to Prashad for several years now, and we love the friendly feel of the place, and of course the delicious, fresh and authentic food! It seems to improve every time we go, and I am sure we'll be going for many more years.

COOKING WITH KAUSHY: I had a great birthday when Kaushy Patel of the Prashad taught me how to cook a Gujerati family feast in my own home. Kaushy was a lovely teacher, the menu was excellent and my family thoroughly enjoyed their special feast. And there was more. I have my own spice tray and utensils to keep and Kaushy left me with sufficient ingredients to cook the meal again. Brilliant.

I love the Prashad. I was born and bred in Bradford so (rightly) believe that my city has the best curry houses in Britain. And yes I've tried Brick Lane and the curry mile in Manchester... Fine in their way but if you want the best come to Bradford. And if you want the best of the best go to the Prashad. The fact that this is veggie heaven is irrelevant. The meat eaters I have been with have never come away saying 'ooh I did miss my chicken tikka they come out going 'wow'. This is because the food here is cooked with love. You can tell when you eat it! Fantastic flavours and great value. 3 of us went out on Tuesday night this week and we left full up to our chins having spent under a tenner each! And while I'm getting all giddy I might as well mention the service. It's great. Not because it's particularly polished. It isn't. The waiters haven't been on a course on how to deliver good service. It's great because the guys are just nice people being friendly and considerate. If you want to eat excellent food in a non pretentious friendly atmosphere shout hurrah for the Prashad and get yourselves down.

Had a fantastic valentines meal yesterday created by Minal, the presentation was first class. Each time we have visited Prashad we are amazed at how so many vegetable dishes can taste so good. We urge all non vegetarians and vegetarians to try eating at Prashad - you will not be disappointed.

Valentine's Day and there cannot be better place to celebrate it than here at Prashad. Obviously all the other couples thought so too as the place was busy with customers. Bobby was extremely kind to us to find us a table even though we had not booked in advance. Prashad's culinary genius, Minal had created a most imaginative menu with starters of Steamed Bataka Puri, Vegetable Cutlets, Steamed Rava Idli, Sesame Parcels, and mouth-watering desserts of Coconut Barfi, Ladoo and Coco-Penda, (lovingly shaped into hearts!). These with our choices of Masala Dosa, Bindi Curry and Puris from their standard menu made it a great romantic meal and an evening to savour.

Good service but above all the food is varied, flavoursome and something different. This is a restaurant that many may overlook for the more well known Bradford South Asian eateries. Such lack of adventure is their loss however as this is an eating experience not to be missed. Wonderful food, generous portions. Go there.

Had lunch at the Stansfield recently. The food was excellent, and plenty of it, very good value. The food took quite a while to arrive, but it was worth it when it did. I was disappointed that, once our plates had been cleared, no one offered us the dessert menu or coffee. And it's not the warmest venue I've eaten in; despite it being freezing outside, the heating didn't appear to be on, which was a shame. The food warmed us up, but it would have been good not to have been chilly waiting for the food. Will still go back though :)
