Sweet Centre Restaurant – BradfordSince moving to Bradford in 1988 I have eaten Prashad's marvelous food hundreds of times, at first when it was an Indian deli and we lived around the corner (leading to very frequent visits) and in latter years in the restaurant - though the deli is still going strong too. We go a couple of times a month and the quality of the food is consistently excellent, as is the service. At around £12-15 per head (you'd have to have a prodigious appetite to go much over £20) it is very good value for money indeed. Prashad is Gujarati and vegetarian, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that makes it a place to go for 'a curry' or for meat eaters to suffer an evening with vegetarian friends (in my other life I'm an enthusiastic offal-eating carnivore), it's a restaurant where skilled chefs make delicious, vibrant tasting food, which is served by welcoming, knowledgeable staff - what more could you want?
Prashad – BradfordThe best curry in Bradford and considering Bradford is the curry capital of England that's quite impressive !! Absolutely great food and amazing staff.
Prashad – BradfordExcellent service with delicious food. This is my most favorite restaurant in Bradford. I always travel to Bradford to enjoy the great tastes of Prashad
Prashad – BradfordI was born in South India and so know how authentic South Indian Cuisine should taste. I also lived for many years in Mumbai and so know how genuine Mumbai seaside fare should taste too. Dining at Prashad this lunchtime was like being transported back to Mumbai and South India for me as we tucked into Rengan Bhajias, Bhel Supreme, Masala Dosa and Idli Sambar. Kaushy Patel could easily hold her own against any world-class South Indian Chef and Mumbai Chef when it comes to preparing delicious Masala Dosas, Idli Sambars and Bhel of such high quality and consistency.
Prashad – BradfordTried it tonight for the first time - it was excellent. We had the £11.95 buffet - what a brilliant and huge selection of dishes! Well prepared, very tasty and excellent value for money. Staff were brill as were the surroundings. Will deffo use again
Anams Restaurant – BradfordNice, Suttle, Authentic, and a very pleasant experience. Its one of those places that you get your moneys worth and u can eat very nice food for good value. A must try for those that have not. Ps * the balti dishes are Addictive* that's a warning, i have to take one back for the day after!
Sweet Centre Restaurant – BradfordAmazing experience. the food, service, manager and also very warm-hearted and sincere barman. Hope there would be one Royal Eastern in every town.
Royal Eastern – BradfordHaving spent two weeks touring the Gujarat last year and eating the best curries three times a day, i can strongly recommend a visit to Prashad's. Fantastic, authentic, delicious. Thali-tastic! Thank-you very much too for your friendly service. Next time i will be attempting a monster dhosa which i will refuse to share!
Prashad – Bradfordvery nice food, very welcoming and authentic as it gets.
Sweet Centre Restaurant – BradfordGoing out in the bright Spring sunshine on an afternoon and then coming here for dinner afterwards has to be the most enjoyable way to spend a Sunday in April, especially when our meal included some of our favourite dishes such as Rebgan Bhajias, Bhel Supreme, Masala Dosa, Zuchchini and Peas, and Kichddi. How do Kaushy Patel and her brilliant team in the Prashad kitchen continue to maintain such a high standard of cuisine? It is no wonder that she has won plaudits year after year. Thank you Kaushy, thank you Prashad for a most delicious and enjoyable meal.
Prashad – BradfordWe came with a large-ish group, and had to wait for a table. We were given comfortable seats in the takeaway area and samples of the deli products to taste. The menu was unfamiliar (especially to our Australian guests), and we asked for recommendations. The food that came was just the right amount, varied in hotness but was in our comfort zone, beautifully presented and very tasty. 3 courses plus lassi and tea came to about £12.50 per head. My carnivore husband was very pleased, and said if he hadn't known in advance, he might not have noticed until afterwards that it was all vegetarian. We were in Bradford for a science fiction convention, and we wrote a review for the convention newsletter and even came back after the con for deli snacks to take home. Highly recommended.
Prashad – BradfordVisited on a Friday afternoon in February, nephew had problems pushing my wheelchair up the ice covered ramp, but once inside the service was good and friendly, the food was traditional english, cooked the way we liked that mom used to, tasted like good value great home cooked food. would not hesitate in coming back, although the service could have been quicker.
The Raggalds – Bradfordreally good food, mostly Asian families were in at the time, which is reassuring. i didn't suffer from bad wind the next day which is a sign of a proper curry. The restaurant might not be as fancy as the mumtaz but the food is just as good if not better...just go there and see for yourself.
Punjab Sweet House and Chargrill Centre – BradfordJust been to Zouk on Leeds Road in Bradford and have to say it's an amazing place - the food is just delicious and prepared with such care and creativity - especially the fresh desserts and bread - out of this world. Veggies and vegans are very well catered for - we had no problems as there were plenty of meat free choices. There's a great atmosphere, lovely music and the staff are fun, friendly and very helpful - even when they're busy. We'll certainly be returning and would recommend Zouk to anyone. Try the dahl, bindi bhaji, hummous, sebzi - we guarantee you'll be coming back for more.
Zouk Tea Bar – BradfordOn a recommendation we ventured into Bradford to go to Anam's - to be honest I'm surprised it's been so overlooked? This is a beautiful restaurant with a wide and varied menu covering all sorts of Indian cuisine. Aside from the a la carte menu there is also a buffet available for £12.95 which is fresh and tasty - we went for the buffet and there was plenty to choose from. We had lamb kofta-type sticks, pakoras in a lovely, light batter and chicken tikka to start - all very tender and aromatic. A selection of curries, chapatis, naans and vegetable dishes followed and we were too full for dessert! The staff were very attentive and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The place is pretty huge and one of the guys told us they have Indian wedding parties there a few times a week - this sort of speaks for itself! In the middle of the restaurant there's a pool filled with the most enormous catfish and koi carp - intriguing and unexpected but really it just added to the experience! The restaurant isn't licensed and we drank a jug of mango lassi - thick and creamy and just what we wanted. I highly recommend you try it for yourself and see! If you're looking for an inexpensive feast (and I honestly think feast is the right word here!) then Anam's is your gaff. Hope you find this useful!
