Stansfield Arms – BradfordI'm a regular at Anam's and I love their buffet. The service I receive is always of an excellent standard. There is this one staff member who is older than the rest of the staff and is there to welcome the customers. I cannot say enough about this guy. He makes us feel very welcome and will always ensure we have a good time. He usually brings us a special dish, aside from the normal buffet and always treats us like we are valued customers. Just as it should be! I've previously been a regular at Mumtaz Restaurant, but always felt like I was another number who walked through the door. Whether it was Mumtaz or Akbar's I always felt that as an Asian customer I always came second! Seriously, the service that white people receive at these restaurants is always second to none (Sorry if anyone feels offended - I'm not discriminating), but I always felt that we were treated differently. Maybe because I'm your day to day working class customer and not posh enough! Crazy, I know!!
Anams Restaurant – BradfordFantastic food and service would recommend to anyone, good prices too especially during the price squeeze, was visiting relatives and wish they are close to my home town.
BC’s – BradfordService is very poor unless you are busty female! My family I went on Monday night and was ignored. We got drinks when we were seated but for the rest of the night we was not offered any more. Even when they brought out main course and we all had empty glass we was not offered any. They pass our table 10 or 15 times when they were not serving other tables. If you are a regular then they will be all over you, leaving the rest of us out. When I point this out when paying, I was told that I should have stopped. I made my point that I come to a restaurant to be waited on and that is part of good service. It seemed that they were not bothered about our custom. It's a shame as it local to us but They will not be getting any of our business in the future. If you want a great italian run by a proper italian family go to Mam Mia's in centre of Bradford. They are always welcoming to all.
Ital Restaurant – BradfordMy friends brought me to this delightful restaurant for dinner. We had a veritable feast: mango lassi (absolutely yummy); aubergine fritters; pani puri; utthapam (I loved this!); idli sambar; zucchini and peas and kichdi. Afterwards we went to the shop section and bought cashew barfi to take home. It was a most enjoyable evening and I shall certainly come again. Highly recommended.
Prashad – BradfordBeing a Vegan in Yorkshire is quite a hard job, but living close to Prashad's has been a dream. The road-side snacks are great if you're feeling a bit peckish - just swing by and in two minutes you've got your food and your on your way. I've been in for a few meals in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Especially the Rhengan & Pea curry.
Prashad – BradfordDISGUSTING---- We went last night and the food was vile, not even fit for my dog. Seemed like it was cooked last week. The drinks were over priced as well.
Mashriq – BradfordUsed this place regularly over the last few months because they had a 'loyalty' card scheme where after you collected five signatures you get a free curry. Called on Saturday night about 10pm with my friend who'd collected approx 10 signatures on 4 separate cards (he'd forgot to bring the original card sometimes when he called in on speck). Manager wouldn't honour the loyalty cards saying that all the signatures had to be on one card. We pointed out that it doesn't say this on the cards...just says you need a total of 5 signatures to qualify. Manager and staff were very intimidating. We left after paying for our starters (which were overcooked) Will never return to this establishment again and would advise others to do the same...run by lying, scamming, cheats.
Omars – Bradfordi ordered a curry the other night from naseeb and it was out of this world they even delivered to allerton from lidget green i will be ordering from naseeb again and would strongly recommend
Naseeb – BradfordWe've been going to Prashad's for a couple of years now and really look forward to meals there. The Renghan and Pea is stunning, the Paneer Masala so light and flavoursome, their Tarka Dal a must. Try the Kidchi (rice and lentil mix), their award winning Pethis and their Special Chaat. It's a small, intimate, family run place with a unique menu and friendly service.
Prashad – BradfordThe service was very friendly and the food was excellent. The coconut and garlic balls lived up to their award winning status and the mushrooms very juicy. The main dishes were very flavoursome and piping hot. All in all a fantastic evening. Don't forget to pop round to the takeaway for some great sweets as well.
Prashad – BradfordBrilliant food for veggies and non- veggies alike as it is so different from all other curry restaurants in Bradford. Really fresh and tasty food with great friendly service.
Prashad – Bradfordmyself and my wife paid a visit last night (20-9-2008) to celebrate her birthday. the staff and the place are well worth a visit if you like good proper British food because that is what you get and my god it is well worth the wait. we started with a starter mine was chicken curry and the wife had Atlantic prawn cocktail. then we had soup mine was farmhouse vegetable the wifes was chicken and leek. main course. mine was 10oz rib eye steak with all the trimmings my wifes was a double barnsley chop with all the trimmings. sweet course. i had chocolate and orange cheesecake the wifes was sherry trifle .
Sandal Farm Restaurant – BradfordExcellent vegetarian food. We found this lovely place in our last week of living in Yorkshire and are so disappointed we didn't find it 3-years earlier! Over the course of moving house we re-visited for a take-away 3 times in one week - and we don't usually buy take aways at all, but the food here was so good it was like eating a great curry we had cooked at home. We don't eat meat but it wouldn't matter if we did as the food here is so tasty you really wouldn't miss the flesh not being there. A selection of the best of what we had included the Zucchini curry which was so fresh and tasty, and you could really taste the Zucchini. The Masala Dosa was one of the best I've ever had from many great restaurants, the Chole was delicious and the Taka Dhal was surprisingly a really flavoursome little dish in itself rather than a side dish as dhal usually is. The homemade pickle tray and unusual flavoured popadoms were remarkable and the rice was above and beyond any standards you'd expect from rice in a good restaurant. The mixed started tray was really different and we enjoyed it very much, but on that particular night we had ordered too much so didn''t finish it all. However, we gave it to my dad, who came over the next day to help us pack, for his lunch and he was more than impressed. He ate the remainder of the cake cooked with mustard seeds and the deep fried lentils with coconut and was very impressed. I can't recommend this place enough and am so impressed something this good exists in somewhere outside of London. I only wish we had heard about it sooner. I hope Bobby Patel and his family keep up the good work as there aren't many take-aways like this around Yorkshire.
Prashad – Bradfordgood food but rude staff and each time we have been they have tried to charge us extra on the bill, ranging from drinks we have never had to additional rice as did not give enough to start with. have a Karoki on a night but again unfair as has favorites and does not allow others turns. a real shame really has a good night out but not worth the hassle with the staff, lack of trust re the bill and having to watch and check all the time.
Royal Eastern – BradfordAuthentic Gujarati vegetarian food, the best I have had in England. Especially delicious chapattis and wonderful srikand. The thali here is worth traveling a long way to eat. Small and informal with a very welcoming atmosphere. And there is an adjacent shop where you can buy delicious homemade snacks to take home.
Prashad – Bradfordi live in north wales and Prashad was recommended to me by my friends in bradford.i have been visiting prashad regularly for the past 2 years ,travelling 2 1/2 hours just for the excellent food served.,The prices are reasonable and of course the service is good.well worth a visit.you will be back for more.
Prashad – BradfordWhenever we visit Bradford we try and come for our lunch here. The bean enchilada is my favourite dish. The accompanying scrumptious salad is simply brilliant. It’s a great little café in a picturesque square. I can heartily recommend this café to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
