Fishers Restaurant – CliftonThe food was absolutely delicious and the staff very attentive and friendly. A super place to go for dinner.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsWe have been to the Olive tree on several times now and always have had excellent food , Petra and her staff has always given us a warm welcome .
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsFood was excellent, scallops to start, skate wing, crumble. Bottle of Albarino to wash it down. All very enjoyable. No complaints regarding the food, the kitchen is clearly well run. The staff were pleasant, all smiling. Our table was not laid when we arrived, at exactly the time the table was booked. So we waited a moment, not an issue, but there were no water glasses. Just a few minor details and perhaps too many covers to cope with, even though they had 4 front of house staff. Would throughly recommend overall.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonLovely restaurant, the food was lovely and fresh (I recommend the seabass and haddock). I liked the marine feel & little design touches in the restaurant. The only complaint was the staff were not attentive, which let the restaurant down. We had to call them on a few occasions (to bring the olive oil for the bread and a teaspoon for the tea). They should be proactive and check on customers when dining.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonThis was our first visit to this restaurant and we were made to feel very welcome. Our meal was absolutely delicious (Thai beef salad and Confit of duck) full of flavour and beautifully presented. We were looked after superbly and really enjoyed being able to see the chefs in the kitchen. A wonderful way to spend an evening.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsCame here for a family meal, the staff were so lovely, helpful and accommodating to all of us. We had a lot of questions about the menu and they answered them no problem. The food itself was amazing, we were worried the seafood platter might not be big enough but it was a super generous portion and was absolutely delicious. We loved the ice cream with coffee and amaretto too, plus the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. They also provided my grandma with a takeaway box for her meal which she really appreciated! ☺️
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonThe fish was excellent and dishes delicious. Our big issue was staff. The poor waitress was very apologetic but there were far too many tables for two people to cope with. She also said that there were only two chefs in the kitchen. We agreed with her that they need to limit the number of covers unless they have the staff to cope. Waiting nearly an hour for our orders to be taken and our wine to be served is very poor service.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonGreat meal - Booked for 5.30 took my two little children who loved the Seabass and Haddock... busy early and great atmosphere Both Waitresses were really great and the American waitress, who looked afterwards was very accommodating.. Highly recommend - we will be back Alex
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonWe visited for Sunday lunch. Staff were very attentive and service prompt. Food was excellent and perfect portion sizes .
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsI love seafood and I have eaten lots of it in my time. The food was brilliant, the service was friendly, bubbly and helpful. Very happy with my visit
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonThis was my first time visiting fishers, it won't be the last. A really warm welcome from friendly staf, with prompt service too. We had the shellfish platter whole lobster, which was fantastic. Will definitely be returning at some point.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonVisited Fishers many times over the years, and they have always provided a pretty decent fish based meal. However, on this visit, we had the sharing platter of shellfish , which was ok, but more parsimoneus than on previous visits. A sign of the times I guess. The service was well up to the usual good standard.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonFirst time trying Iranian food, my goodness what a pleasant surprise for the 4 of us. We had a nice bottle of Merlot to accompany delightful food. The Chef (owner) went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and offered us a few off menu dishes which we loved. We will come again. Thank you Bill
Kaz Steak and Fish – Bristol City CentreFriday evening was our most recent visit to Goodfellows, which was a superb end to a very busy week. The restaurant is beautifully furnished, small and extremely comforting. Our welcome,as always was delightfully friendly and set the theme for a great evening of delicious food. Between us we enjoyed Gazpacho with fresh crab,Seared tuna Nicole’s and the Confit of duck with seasonal vegetables. We finished with a raspberry millefeuil. It is fair to say that the food here is of the highest quality ,cooked to a very high standard and beautifully presented,But above all,the flavours of every dish stood out. Discreet, professional and friendly service is what they do here. Long May it prosper.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsI had visited the earlier premises some years ago on a previous visit to Wells so was keen to see what this one was like while here. We were immediately impressed with the style and elegance of the premises, quickly followed by the service. The food was delicious, we both love fish and seafood so this was definitely the place for us! I had the hot smoked salmon starter served in a basket, followed by scallops. Husband skipped having a starter (which I think he regretted) and also had the scallops. He had a couple of beers instead while I started on the bottle of wonderful Chablis. We finished with the perfect cheese course, in perfect condition, and a glass of port for me. It was superb. Very glad our connections to Wells remain so we can revisit again in the future. Husband did say it was very expensive, but as I don't know how much it was can't comment.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsFood and ambience best we have had since the last time we came. Price is fair, portion sizes are spot on. We will keep coming with friends as a destination restaurant.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsExcellent as always. After one of our group pf three decided to go for the skate wing, we all did. A great choice. Beautiful fresh fish, simply cooked. Delicious.
