Blue Ginger – KingswoodI have had the joy of eating at Goodfellows just one time. I had the taster menu and in the seafood restaurant and it was amazing. The preparation, execution and presentation of the food was second to none. The atmosphere was pleasant and unassuming. The were staff courteous and keen to ensure that your evening was as pleasant as possible without being in your face. The decor was simple, understated and without pretention which made the overwhelming good standard of the food even more amazing. This is a restaurant I would recommend to any friends or family that were to visit Wells and I certainly would enjoy eating here again.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsThis Bengali restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks in April 2010. We went there on Saturday night "on the off chance" and could have done with booking as it was completely full. It is a BYO, and perhaps that was what attracted a rowdy crowd. The decor is nice, but it doesn't absorb the noise and it was difficult to hear each other speak. That said, the service is great, the staff are extremely pleasant - and one was very knowledgeable about the Taka Dahl and how it is made - the crockery is plain white and extremely classy, and the food is DELICIOUS!!!! We know our Sagaloo and Taka Dahl and these were the very best either of us have ever tried. We will definitely go back - I am planning to take a couple of friends there next month - but will avoid weekends in the hope that the clientele will be more subdued. That is the shame of it; the customers ruining the place because the food is excellent and easily gets a 10/10. I wish the Blue Ginger great success. The staff in and out of the kitchen deserve it to be.
Blue Ginger – KingswoodGreat Setting by the river and fantastic food on offer, would recommend to anyone. The Evening menu is varied almost spoiled for choice. Will be returning!
Old Mill Hotel – BathI went here for Good Friday. I searched for somewhere to eat, I was treating my woman. I always like to support local business, I chose this place because of it. The food was absolutely fantastic. I didn't think they made food as good as this. Even the wine was good. It was a relaxed atmosphere, always staff about for your requirements. I was soo very pleased, it helped make my weekend fantastic. I recommend
Don Giovannis – Bristol City CentreVisited one mid-week night in March and really enjoyed the evening. Among us was one who has yet to develop adventurous tastes, so stuck to the steak, while the rest of us relished the various plates of meals, superb tastes, excellently cooked together with a good ambiance and welcoming staff. We couldn't manage a dessert, although two of us were forced to share one :) Would recommend to anyone, even those who like to stay in their culinary comfort zone. We came home with my taste buds tingling.
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyHighly recommended A relaxing homely atmosphere. Good Home cooking at its best We usually visit Glastonbury on a Sunday and call in to the King William for the carvery a veritable feast. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
King William Inn – GlastonburyAbsolutely fantastic. I took my mum here for her birthday with friends and had a great evening. The restaurant itself is authentic and very welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the service is spot on, not too intrusive. The food was the best Greek food I've had outside of Greece itself. We all agreed it was a fab night. There is a good choice of starters and mains, didn't have dessert as we were all absolutely stuffed. I had the stuffed grapes, too die for and the sardine salad was really good, my mum ate the lot and she's not a salad fan. It had depths and flavours we did not expect. The mains are quite big so you may not want a starter, but would recommend this place to anyone, especially couples and for a special occasion. Can't fault it. The atmosphere just added to a great night. The staff work really hard to ensure a good time. Will go back again for that special something and try new dishes.
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyReally enjoyed our night at zio restaurant. we opted for a couple of pizzas and a nice bottle of red. which was a Nero D avola!!! my wife choose a pizza with roasted pepper and spicy pepperoni and i choose a pizza with King prawns and rocket which was fantastic. Can honestly say the best pizzas in bristol. Many Thanks
Zio – Cliftonwell well the menu is fine just dandy, food tastes good, lack of staff on the floor leads to bad service, don't go thinking its going to be fast, half the time you cant find a waiter, surely they don't expect to win using this formula, good food = no service, but we did notice a short balding fellow flapping in the corners, whats that about
Old Mill Hotel – BathWe arrived at The Pelly on a cold Spring day and were met by friendly staff and a blazing log fire. The pub has been refurbished to a very high standard and the food and service was excellent as well as being reasonably priced.
Pelly Chew Magna – BlagdonWaste of time eating here if you have a large party,we waited over an hour between courses. They then had a cheek to charge £80 for service.Set meal £17.50ish each didn't get value for money. Food very poor.
Thai Basil – Westbury-on-Trymgreat food and price all fresh cooked well worth a visit
Restaurant at The Swan Hotel – AlmondsburyRiverstation is amazing! The food is incredibly consistent and always excellent.. The set price menus are really good value £9.00 for 2 courses at lunch and £14.75 for 3-courses at dinner. They also have a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour making it the best possible place to eat in Bristol on a fine day. Highly recommended!
Riverstation – Bristol City CentreExcellent presentation of wonderfully cooked fresh food in a charming, intimate yet unpretentious atmosphere. A brief but varied menu offers something for all palates and the wine list provides a fine complement to the food. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed dining out so well. Unusually, I took three courses and enjoyed every delicious mouthful. Meats, fish and vegetables cooked to perfection, aromatic sauces and tempting, delicious desserts - you are certain to be delighted.
Franks Restaurant – CheddarThis place was recommended to me recently so I took my girlfriend there and had a wonderful meal on the way back from bath after a days shopping, My first authentic Thai restaurant and was blown away by the flavours. They will even customise spice levels on dishes so if your like me and not great with really hot food you can still try everything. The home made Ice cream is just the best, I had their latest flavour pina colada Mmmmm.
