Excellent meal, could not fault anything at all. Cannot think why we had not returned before now.
The Vanilla Pod – MarlowLovely meal tonight . Good service , friendly attentive waiters. Excellent value for money !
The Old Beams – Milton KeynesWaitresses were awful, over priced and atmosphere was very pretentious.
Lounge Bar – Gerrards Cross6 of us popped into the 4 Pillars last night, the warm welcome we received was brilliant, waiter sat us down, no rush no nothing took our drinks and poppadum orders. We ordered our food 10 mins later, food 5 star top high quality food, you know when you eat a fresh meal, ( I dine at indian restaurants all the time I know when you get a fresh top quality dish) it doesn't take a genius to work one out ) service was brilliant, just how it should be, your not constantly harassed by the waiters! Service 5 star food 5 star, atmosphere 5 star very busy restaurant, warm cosy not like your poxy modern nonsense indian cuisines! The 4 Pillars is by far the best restaurant I have been to and now I will be a regular there when I dine in. Worth the money 100%
The Four Pillars Tandoori Restaurant – OlneyWas given terrible service from bad mannered staff. Avoid the drama and find somewhere more welcoming is my advice.
The Squirrel – High WycombeLovely restaurant in the beautiful town of Marlow. Spoilt for choice in these parts! Would recommend.
The Vanilla Pod – MarlowThe Marlow Donkey looks a lot better from the outside. Inside is OK but in need of either being modernised or reverting to a traditional look and feel. My burger was very pleasant and was my friends slider of different burgers. Prices reasonable as was the Guiness.
The Marlow Donkey – MarlowHad a meal last night for my leaving do and loved it, the food was great.
Twist At Wendover – BuckinghamFriendly staff, get prices and lovely atmosphere.
The New Queen Victoria – Milton KeynesGreat place to eat and good atmosphere. Not one to be missed.
The Old Shanghai – OlneyI can't recommend the Giggling Squid highly enough. The decor is bright, simple, stylish and modern with exposed beams, white washed walls and reclaimed timbers. The service is warm and friendly. The "rustic" Thai cooking is some of the best I've encountered anywhere - including Thailand on four trips. And great value -especially the lunch time Thai Tapas" sets which cost around a tenner. There's plenty of seafood all cooked to perfection, although - although my massaman lamb curry was outstanding.
Giggling Squid – MarlowUse this venue on a regular basis, and find the staff, food, and price structure excellent. One of the best in Milton keynes
The Swan Salford – Milton KeynesOn Friday 3rd August my family came to your pub for an evening meal, good food, not a problem. However, I was totally disgusted with the price of a bottle of Echo Falls Rose wine which we had with our meal...the cost was over £15 a bottle. Could you explain to me how you get to this price as we bought 3 bottles for £10.00 from an off licence earlier in the week. The wine was served in a wine cooler which was disgustingly filthy. We visit the two brewers quite often but I think you should check your wine prices. If we can get 3 for £10.00 how much do you by the wine in for? An angry customer. Pam Simms
The Two Brewers – OlneyMuch happier after lunchtime visit than on an earlier visit at 7 pm on a Saturday - much more civilized and staff not so hattered.
Harvester East Lake Park – Milton KeynesNIGHTMARE!!!!!!!! Bad food SHIT service and piss poor manners. Do not take your family here
The Cotton Wheel – AylesburyJust arrived home from my first and definitely last visit to the "new" Britannia (Marlow). We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who unfortunately sat us on a table next to a electronic gambling machine. An hour and a half had passed and we still hadn't received our food. Our waiter came over to ask us if we had our food, we then explained that we hadn't. We also had no drinks. He came back to the table and said that the food had been ruined by the chefs and was being cooked again. We waited for another 15 minutes. The manager arrived at our table with an apology. When the food eventually arrived the two steak dishes that my family had ordered were nicely cooked (although were strangely served with two metal bowls of butter). We also asked for mustard which we were told they didn't have.I had ordered the steak and ale pie which was so burned and blackened that I had to call the manager again and send it back. It had clearly been sat on the pass under the heat whilst the other dishes were being re-done. In the end I ended up having nothing. The manager kindly didn't charge us for either the drinks or the meal, but the whole ordeal was embarrassing and a complete shambles. Two words: VERY DISAPPOINTING!
The Britannia – MarlowFood was tasty, waiters were attentive. A definite recommendation.
Coco Tamarind – Princes Risborough
