The Fat Giraffe – BurnleyAfter having had it recommended to me by both my son and daughter, we decided to try it today. What a surprise we had, both the service and the food were excellent and the portions very large. My wife only managed half her salad as there was so much of it. My steak and kidney pudding was also very good. The only drawback is that we couldn't have any of the sweet courses as we were too full from the main course. A shame really as they are known for them. Maybe next time it'll be a starter and a sweet. We will be going there again and I can really recommend them.
Sycamore Farm – Burnleythis restaurant is bloody expensive
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleySorry but meal not good. Prawn Puri on Nan not Puri, Chicken Tikka in Biriani not good overcooked, Chicken Masalla too spicy not creamy so sad as I talked my friends into going there an not usher forgive me usher
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyHolloways Fish and Chips holds a Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers. This makes it one of the finest fish and chip shops in the country. You can be assured of the quality of food and service in this shop.
Holloway’s – BurnleyMy daughters Molly and Lucy and stayed at Thorneyholme farm cottage october 28 and 29 we had our tea on both evenings at Pendle inn we loved the food there and the staff were very polite and friendly a warm welcome always awaits cant wait to come back again a big thumbs up thanks
Pendle Inn – BurnleyThis restaurant is my personal favourite. As soon as you walk through the front door you are greeted with a warm homely atmosphere. There is a cosy bar area to eat your appetisers, order your food and have a drink, while you wait to be shown to your table. The food is absolutely amazing without the price that accompanies such high class cuisine. The staff are really friendly and will go out of their way to make your mealtime the best they can. Usually we have a laugh with some of the staff and you really get the feeling that they care about their customers, as opposed to some places which only care about their money! They also do gift vouchers which would make fantastic presents. This restaurant is as close to perfection as you can get ;)
Mamma Mia – BurnleyThank You for lovely meal tonight was fantastic. This place is spotless and the staff are so friendly.
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyThis is our favourite Indian restaurant, the food is amazing, service friendly and polite, the atmosphere is wonderful. I don';t usually like Indian music but here it just adds to the ambience, without the atmospheric Indian music it is just any other Indian restaurant. Keep it up fellas :)
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleySuperb Sunday lunch. Coming from Earby we are used to Jade Palace and Ivy Palace. Decided to try the Beijing as we wanted a run out somewhere but didn't think it would be as good as the other two. We were proved wrong.....lovely setting with the two large fish tanks in the entrance. Food was delicious and portion sizes just right. Staff were lovely . friendly and helpful. We will certainly go back again.
Beijing Restaurant – Burnleydirty table cloth, side plates, glasses and cutlery, service appalling had to go to bar myself for drinks after waiting 30 mins for 2nd course, no one came to ask if we needed anything. Food OK but spoilt by treated as if we were an inconvenience by the waiter,
The Fence Gate – BurnleyPoor, expensive bar food matched only by tatty furniture, dogs in eating areas and cloudy beer.
Pendle Inn – BurnleyI went here yesterday with a colleague and we were both disappointed. I ordered fish and chips (small) as I wasn't very hungry. Small??? - MINUTE would be a better description - I have never seen such a small portion - it would not have fed a small child. A few thick chips (6 or 7) and a dollop of mushy peas. £8! My companion had tasteless duck pasty with a very small portion of fries. The guy I spoke to about it just said "so you're disappointed?" and then drifted away, never to return. I shall never return either....
The Sparrowhawk – BurnleyWe love the Sunday buffet.... We like the set menu saves us having to choose! The food is delicious and the staff are very welcoming. It's our favourite Indian restaurant by far!
Agra Indian Restaurant – Burnleyexcellent restaurant, the chicken tikka biryani with samber sauce ohhh so nice and tasty, thats y agra is on top of Indians, mr miah the boss is fantastic
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyLast night 14 of us from the British Red Cross enjoyed a fantastic meal at Mamma Mias. I had to add more people at the last minute which did not phase them at all - it was simply 'no problem'. The place is clean, bright and very welcoming. Sylvia is the perfect hostess and her staff are very professional, attentive and friendly - thanks to Leanne for all her hard work last night. The food and service was second to none. Often when there is a large party the standard in a restaurant can slip - Mamma Mias is not one of those places! I have no doubt I/we will be returning very soon and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
Mamma Mia – BurnleySheila and I have frequented Mama Mia's for many years. We return very often because the meals are really excellent, good value, and the dining room is comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean. We would recommend this restaurant to all who love good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
