the best food and drink
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyThe food here is exceptional. Me and my wife have made a habit of eating here since we first found it. There is simply no Chinese restaurant anywhere in this are where the food is of such quality. I highly recommend the all you can eat menu that runs from Sunday-Thursday, sensational.
Beijing Restaurant – BurnleyMy husband and I have frequented Mamma Mia for many years. We have returned because of the consistent high quality of the food and the service. A warm welcome is always guaranteed and, even in the midst of a hectic service, the team have always had time to catch up with us. We have had some fantastic meals, we have a particular soft spot for the fish dishes and the steaks (it is difficult to find a restaurant where a steak is cooked to perfection every time). Another member of my family literally craves the pate starter! Mamma Mia is perfect for either a romantic meal for two or a family celebration. Food ...delicious, greeting...friendly, surroundings...authentic.
Mamma Mia – BurnleyHaving been previously spoiled when living in Halifax with excellent Italian "Da Sandros", I have been in search of at least a half decent one in the Burnley/Fence/Barrowford area for years. Some have come and gone and never been any good. Now to Zio's we hadn't been for 3 years as we thought it fairly poor last time, but recent recommendations have led us to go back, and we have now been back 3 times in as many weeks. Excellent Food, well cooked. Great Service. Need I say any more. Going there again tonight for the starter and pizza/pasta offer for £9.95 mid week deal. Mmmmm
Zio Ristorante – Burnleyhad the sunday buffet here 3 or 4 times now.the food is exceptional,as is the service.never seen it that busy though.not been on a fri/ sat night though! a quality place for a nice meal & few drinks.always looked after us. give it a whirl.
Aroma Asian – BurnleyFantastic service. Great night out!
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyI have passed this restaurant several times and for some reason felt it might be a bit 'In crowdy' . However I was very wrong! My husband and I went for a sneaky meal after parents evening and was pleasantly surprised. I don't usually eat Pizza when not with the kids, but it looked so good I had to have one. My husband had pasta which was very nice but as usual he wished he'd had what I had! Four seasons pizza and the reasonably priced genuine italian beer on tap. Service was really great and highly italian , a culture that just knows how to make you feel welcome. Will go again.
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyTo me there is no better Indian restaurant in the area, the people are welcoming an polite, service is excellent an the food is mouth wateringly good, get your self there and enjoy!
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyVery modern interior with TV on wall. Comfy seats, friendly attentive staff. Food is to a good standard. I had very nice starter of prawn mango puri starter and main course chicken tikka korma. Peshwari nan was great. Movenpick ice cream was fab for desert/ Only negative is that Side dishes are too small for the £3.50 charged but again very nicely cooked. Rice also served in dish, smaller than usually found in Indians.
Aroma Asian – Burnleyabsolutely brilliant food, atmosphere was very warm friendly and welcoming, the staff are pleasant and very helpful.would definitely recommend this lovely italian restaurant to everyone .will definitely be going back again i enjoyed the food wine and hospitality of all the staff 5* from me
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyExcellent food good service and probably one of the best in the area along with it's sister hotel, The Eagle at Barrow. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!
The Fence Gate – BurnleyHaving eaten here tonight, we left feeling slightly disappointed as we found the restaurant to be very average, the service was quick but the food was nothing special. Having been to many others, we feel that you do not get what you pay for here. On arrival, we were made to feel welcome, shame this wasn't the case on leaving, the staff/management were far too distracted with personal conversation whilst taking payment to even offer a "thank you" we won't be returning.
Agra Indian Restaurant – Burnleywe were an organised party of 40+ adults - enjoyed an excellent meal from crackers, soup, ribs, spring rolls, chicken wings, prawn toasts, followed by fried rice with spicy beef, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, chinese pork, king prawn bird nest, mixed meat curry washed down with excellent wine. Unbelievable value that was enjoyed by all!! Cheers Harry, your wife and staff!
Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BurnleyThe food at my favourite restaurant has improved ten fold over the past 3 years!!!! keep making me smile x
Pendle Inn – BurnleyFood is fantastic - service is terrible - been with friends and if you are in a big group then it's great they love you - BUT been twice now, just the two of us: waited an hour for food; main course was another 30mins later. Went again in case this was a one off - same thing 20mins to be given a drink and a menu. Asked for jasmine tea at endand they forgot. Sorry it's off my list now!
Beijing Restaurant – BurnleyWent to the restaurant after recommendation from a friend, food was excellent, extensive wine list, service was excellent and was busy with a good atmosphere for a Tuesday evening. Would recommend to anyone and will certainly be visiting again! Menu has just been changed (July 09) and prices lowered slightly... more than worth the drive out......
The Fence Gate – BurnleyMe and my family spent a fantastic evenings dining here. The service from the well trained staff is impeccable. The food is very reasonable and worthy of awards in my opinion. The setting of this country pub is lovely and many an afternoon/evening could so easily be whiled away taking in the views whilst dining outside in the garden or tasting the many local ales the pub offers. Well worth a visit!!!
The Sparrowhawk – BurnleyI would recommend Aroma as one of the top Indian restaurants in Lancashire. As you step in,you are greeted by perhaps one of the best looking interiors in Lancashire, with an indoor balcony which you can dine on,plus a swanky bar and many other brilliant features. As you sit and wait for your curry or starter, there is a flat screen TV which shows you the chefs actually making your food. When the food came,it came on fine plates, and my lamb rogan josh was beyond words in presentation, texture and flavour. It is surprising how good value for money is at Aroma too, considering the looks of the restaurant.I gave full compliments to the manager Mahjeed, saying how polite staff were and how impressive the Aroma was as a whole.I would recommend Aroma to anyone in Burnley,or anyone visiting Burnley.
