Sunday afternoon tea. Tea and sandwiches were good. Champagne so so. Cream not clotted. Scones a little heavy, too much flour. Service was fine.

Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordGreat food and service.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyOverall we had a lovely time at The Plough but we sadly had a couple of niggles. The Yorkshire puddings were not if their usual standard and we had to send back a dessert which can only be described as ‘stodgy’. That was dealt with but it’s disappointing when the quality isn’t what you have come to expect. We will be back and hope that it was just a one off
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichStarters were lovely but a false dawn followed by average fish and chips and overcooked pie and a very odd chicken Parmasan Wine full of sediment told it was normal although it was taken off the bill Manager unavailable Serving staff lovely the right level of attentiveness and very cheerful Booking online easy and effective Good communication pre and post booking Parking good and lovely presented pub But as people have said there’s a lot of competition and we won’t be returning
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyLovely Italian restaurant with good choice of menu. Food excellent and the service was great. Only two of us in this occasion but a nice mix of customers.
Pacino’s – ChesterExcellent menu. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced . Service was super. Really relaxed , friendly atmosphere. Couldn’t fault it
Pacino’s – ChesterThe food here was excellent. My daughter and I had the 10oz ribeye steak with chips, mushroom and tomato, and of course the peppercorn sauce which was divine. The starters were ample and perfectly cooked and presented. The steak was cooked to our liking. The chips etc were cooked perfectly; crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and plenty of them. The staff were lovely; very friendly, efficient and informative. If we go to that area again, we will be visiting this restaurant. The only thing we would have liked, was the music to have been a tad louder. The atmosphere was a little quiet. That's just our opinion, but it won't stop us eating there again. Thank you to all the staff.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyReally nice evening, lots of variety and couldn't do enough for us!
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamFantastic service, coping with a table of 14 really well. Food was delicious. Lovely menu as a nd good prices Thank you for a wonderful evening
Pacino’s – ChesterAfter a heavy shopping day in Chester we booked in here for dinner. My husband and I chose different mains and we both said our choices were really tasty, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. We had to then try the crumble, always our favourite dessert, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The young lady server was friendly, pleasant and efficient. First class.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortHad a lovely meal with four friends. The food was good and the service was good. We all agreed afterwards we would be visiting again.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyHad a fantastic meal here last night. Food was amazing. The Eton mess was MASSIVE and very tasty! Service was exceptional. We will DEFINITELY be returning.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichTerrific evening for 6 adults celebrating 2 birthdays - thank you!
Pacino’s – ChesterWe always enjoy a visit to Pacinos. Freshly cooked food at reasonable prices from an extensive menu. Italian and steak specialities but my husband always enjoys the fish. Friendly staff who remember your requirements when you become a regular as we have. Thoroughly recommend a visit.
Pacino’s – ChesterUnfortunately this time I didn’t enjoy my meal, poor staff were run off there feet so short staff that you actually felt sorry for them, they were ever so friendly, we were there for 3 hours just having 1 main meal and coffee, come in plough get more staff please Food just wasn’t as appetising as normal and only warm not hot but no way you could of sent it back or you would of been waiting another 40 minutes for another
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichThis is one of our favourite coffee shops in Nantwich. The French toast is the best breakfast. So tasty & a bit different. The lunch time menu is also good. The baguettes & bread are all so fresh. I liked how it’s from a local bakery. The French soup deal is great value for money. We can’t forget about the cakes either. Only negative is, the phone line seems to of been down for weeks now, so hard to call & make a booking if it’s for that day.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichAn excellent restaurant for an early meal before a visit to the Chester Little Theatre. A wide selection of very reasonably priced wine . Food traditional Italian cooked to perfection. My first visit was on the 12th November 2024 ,a great find and as a Chester resident I will certainly be back on a regular basis
