Walked in , sat down , read the menu , saw the prices , left Wow expensive prices . Not being ripped off Shame , used to love this place

Enjoyed a night at Carbonara. The food was amazing and fresh full of flavour. The service was impeccable with happy highly skilled waiters. Definitely will be returning for the 4th time!!

Christine and Jim have completely turned The Ship around. There is a warm inviting atmosphere when you walk in with great service. The Thursday night Steak Night is a bargain with 2 ribeye steaks and all the trimmings and a bottle of wine for £35.00, and all beautifully cooked. We can't find fault with anything and are always recommending the Ship to our friends.

Service was incredibly slow due to a large party in another section of the pub, which we were not made aware of. Left unattended for the majority of the meal and we had to go and get our own drinks at the bar.

We booked afternoon tea on 27th July we had a gift voucher. Lovely staff three teir tea was lovely impressed with service would recommend this venue to friends &family. Thankyou so much made our day.

Meal was, as usual, excellently prepared and served. Staff were courteous and attentive, but not intrusive during our meal

My 11 year old daughter & I were staying nearby & booked into the restaurant for an evening meal. The food was very tasty, the service was great & friendly, & lots of locals were eating there.

It’s seems hard to find a restaurant you would eagerly want to go back to these days - this is one of them. From the moment we walked in the service was wonderful. The food equally delicious (with some lovely touches), a nice choice and the set menu especially a fair price. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back.

Lovely setting and good service but didn't really rate the food - sharing plater was bland except for the salt beef and smoked mackerel pate .

Absolutely brilliant place, food sooooo good, one of the best afternoons tea I’ve ever had. Staff also really lovely, place beautiful. Definitely will go again.

Nice place, food and drinks disappointing. For the price of the wine and cocktails they tasted cheap. Mojito made with dried mint not fresh and the wine was terrible. Food was mixed, starters ok ish, mains were good, desserts dry. The staff looked mithered, they were very nice and polite, attentive but looked stressed. Like one minute in the kitchen, next out on tables etc Not good value at all, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.
