Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyExcellent restaurant with friendly service and fine dining ambience. Food is great; tapas style but with generous portions, and all freshly cooked. We had prawns, ribeye steak, lamb cutlets and mussels, accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco, a bottle of wine, and two espresso martinis on the house becasue the coffee machine was defective :-) We will be back!
Lilac at The Chestergate – MacclesfieldWe were put in the conservatory which was noisy with kids. We are a mature couple an expected to be place somewhere a bit quieter. Food was OK. Wouldn't rush back. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamHad a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday as always spot on with service Quick attentive Going to miss it
Helter Skelter – FrodshamExcellent meal, lovely staff, couldn’t fault it , will be coming back again soon.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldNever disappoints. The food is fabulous and served by staff who without doubt make the experience one you want again and again.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldEverything about the restaurant was superb as usual. We have been visiting with our two friends from North Wales for over 25 years and can’t fault it. Staff very friendly and professional, Phil and Andy very professional and committed. Food always top quality, restaurant decor always top class, drinks menu excellent. As you can now gather we love the place
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleySuperb food, service and restaurant. Six STARS!!!
Elmas Restaurant – LymmWe had a table booked for 20.00, and we were delayed en-route and arrived over 30 minutes late. The staff were wonderful, and the meal arrived very promptly and was delicious. Cannot praise our experience enough. recommended. Thank you.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyExcellent menu. We were a large group. We found everything tasted delicious
Helter Skelter – FrodshamAverage pub grub. A few things could be better, frozen chips, overly sweet sauce on the duck tho the pork belly was good. Service was very slow and we were seated in a side room with a large family gathering next to us which was noisy and not much fun. We could have asked to move but a bit of thought by the pub wouldn’t have seated us there in the first place. Waitress was quite stressed, forgot the coffee, took ages to take our order. She was apologetic and we tipped but she didn’t really deserve it. There are lots of pubs on the area and they should try a bit harder to guarantee repeat business
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyWe booked a table for 8 people, 6.30pm to celebrate 2 birthdays. Pre-ordered meals as requested to help the team out. However, our requested meals were not printed and given to the chef/kitchen beforehand. We were told that we couldn't have some of our chosen meals as the chef hadn't cooked enough. We then still waited an hour to get any food . We are regulars at The Alvanley and although disappointed with the service on this occasion, we will still go again. Such a shame communication between departments put a dampener on our celebration. Food was good.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyFabulous food & place. We went for the set dinner menu - excellent value & choice Friendly attentive staff & never felt rushed - great at topping our wine glasses up. Highly recommend & will definitely return
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe had a wonderful Friday lunch. The food was delicious and the service top notch. Proper fine dining restaurants seem to be so rare these days, and Bacchus is definitely one to return to. Thank you!
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldI took my mum for a meal before we went across to St Mary's Church, Astbury for a heritage open day. We both had steak and ale pie - it was stuffed full of meat and very tasty - best pub steak and ale pie we have ever had anywhere. Service was excellent and friendly. We have had several family meals here before over the years and it has always been good.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonVery disappointed with our experience yesterday. I booked online for 2 pm. We ordered drinks and food within 10 minutes of arriving and 10 minutes passed and still no drinks had arrived. We were told that there would be a half hour wait on food. There was a party of 30 dining and the kitchen staff clearly couldn’t keep up with the number of meals to be served. To summarise, the service was terrible as there were hardly any staff and we waited an hour for food and 25 minutes for drinks. 2 out of the 3 meals had uncooked chewy cabbage. I would not recommend dining her at the moment until this has been resolved. Such a shame as have been dining here for over 30 years and never had a problem !
