sat at our usual table in restaurant , nice n chille dplace it is and my wife had the chicken supreme which wasdelicious , and i had the spicy chicken curry with rice n chips . As i said on the night . Thatg curry was top drawer really was , so much flavour and a good amount of heat and teh chicken was so tender . i could of ate another one . thanks . we always get well looked after great place. Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldVery mixed feelings! Food was really nice, we had the ‘kebabs’ and they were very tasty and marinated well. Service was really, really bad. Very slow to take our order, a table of 4 seated after us were actually eating before anyone took our order, the food took a long time to arrive as did the wine, we were twiddling our thumbs for at least 30 mins. After we finished no one bothered to clear the table, we asked for the bill, still didn’t clear the table, got the bill no one came to take payment so we went downstairs and paid and left. There were 4 waitresses, more than enough, but very young, clearly untrained and all standing together by the door. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back even if the food was good!

The best part of the restaurant is the staff. They cannot do enough. My only suggestion for improvement would be to keep the mussels in their shells. Thank you so much for a lovely Evening.
