From the moment we walked in the service is unmatched, the staff so friendly and welcoming. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food and service was exceptionally good and friendly, not to mention the outstanding Blueberry Daiquiri. All very memorable. Generous quantities of food, beautifully presented and so very tasty! The facilities were very clean and the lovely decor gives a great ambience. Thank you Lilac Cottage for such a lovely experience. I would also like to add how convenient it is that you can park opposite for free for 90 minutes whilst you enjoy your meal - having torn my meniscus, this was a great help!

Sabrosa – OxtonWe booked online and were expected when we arrived, which was good. We were seated at a table fairly close to the open door, with people smoking outside, with the smoke blowing in. When we requested the door to be shut, this was accommodated. Perhaps smokers could be asked to stand away from the door? We ordered drinks which took ages to arrive, but when they did, the glass of wine was full of fruit flies, which was due, we were told, to the open bottle left standing. Another glass was brought, which was fine. We ordered a half and half garlic bread to start, which was very tasty. We then ordered our main courses, which again were tasty, but being served on cold plates, went cold very quickly. The staff were very friendly and due to the issues we had had, brought us a complimentary drink as an apology. Being a Saturday, it was extremely busy and noisy, but we would go again, albeit during the week.
