The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortFamily meal out absolutely lovely place we went to for the afternoon. Great atmosphere, amazing food!! Would definitely book this restaurant again.
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldWe booked a table for Saturday Night (7pm) and arrived just before to be offered a selection of tables to choose from, which we were pleased about. We've not been for a couple of years as we no longer live in Lymm so it's a return taxi journey, but we weren't disappointed, the service was excellent, the food was it's usual high standard and the wines were lovely too. We'll be back again and hopefully we won't leave it as long next time!
Elmas Restaurant – LymmGreat food, plenty of options on the menu , good friendly service
Sabrosa – OxtonWe have been to Elmas a few times over the years but I wouldn’t claim to be a regular. That didn’t matter, the staff treated us like old friends and went above and beyond to make the night special. We were a group of 8 seated in an already busy resturaunt but they still took the time to make sure we had all that we needed including a second helping of ketchup for the kids. Food was amazing and everyone left happy & full
Elmas Restaurant – LymmGood food but the service was poor we waited for over 45 minutes for the first course!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortLovely food and excellent waitress service in a relaxing setting. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, thank you.
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterLovely food and very friendly and attentive staff .
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterLovely meal
Sabrosa – OxtonFabulous service and very friendly staff. However, we waited over an hour for our food, but the staff did apologise and gave us a round of drinks on the house as a way of an apology. A bit disappointed as the children were served mash with pepper in, which was a bit strong for our 10 yr old. Perhaps serving children plain mash would be better. A bit disappointed over all.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortFab food ... really fab food
Elmas Restaurant – LymmExcellent food, excellent service and really good value. All staff really good, especially waitress Leana. We were visiting Chester for the weekend, but would be regular customers if we lived closer, thank you for a lovely evening.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortIt’s been a while since I visited the Salt Bar as the last time I went I thought it wasn’t so good. HOWEVER I’ve been missing out! Went on Saturday night and it was fantastic!! Food was delicious, we had 7 small starters and a main each a dessert to share...everything was really really good! We’ll be back and soon! Staff very nice too.
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldFood was delicious, beautifully presented Staff very very pleasant,we had a delightful evening . THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF.
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterI was given a Travelzoo meal for my birthday, we came on Wednesday for it , and was very pleased with the service and the food, so if in Chester again we will be coming to the town house again
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterEaten here about 3 times over the last 6 months. Staff always friendly and attentive. I always have the same menu choice. This time my meal was very salty and so was everyone else’s - large group. The thing that really disappointed me though was when the bill came, extra drinks had been added costing an additional £14. When I pointed it out to the girl she didn’t query or apologise just took it away and brought back amended bill. It appeared the staff knew exactly what had gone on. In addition to the salty food this left a very bad taste in my mouth. I wont rush back if this is how they treat large groups, adding extra drinks thinking nobody will check. I’m scoring low on service because of the billing issue. Otherwise staff are great
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortMy husband and I have been a few times and always had excellent food and service. We had a Travelzoo voucher for a 3 course meal for two so booked for Saturday 14th of September. The food was excellent and the service was great until the desserts. I ordered the sticky toffee pudding and was enjoying it when I felt a hair in my mouth!!! I informed the waitress who promptly said “well it’s not mine but I’ll tell the chef”. I was totally disgusted and disappointed as no-one came near us to apologize or offer any form of explanation. We decided to leave and asked for the bill at the bar. One waitress asked was everything good with our meal and I said “well to be honest no!!” And told her about the hair in my food!!! She said “Oh was that you....I thought it was another couple!!!”. I also told her we were offered no apology or explanation and she said we could come another time and use the voucher again to which we replied that we couldn’t as we were away until the end of September and the voucher had to be used by the end of September. The chef then said we could come for Sunday lunch which we couldn’t make either. So his answer was to walk away!! I explained we still hadn’t had any form of apology to which she then offered her apologies and offered to pay for our drinks we had with our meal!!! Firstly the apology had to be asked for instead of offered and the price of 4 drinks didn’t cut it with me as another diner behind us complained about the service and food and was offered 50% off his meal!!! To find a hair in food absolutely makes me sick and instead of looking forward to a great night out I felt so sick both my husband and myself just ended up getting a taxi home!!!! Totally disgusting and disappointed with the whole experience!!!!!
