The pub is bright and well laid out. Service was a bit rushed and chaotic. Generally food okay. We had a nice evening but thought it a bit miserable that they gave 3 of our group of 7 Christmas crackers and serviettes and not all of us just because we didn’t all order from the Christmas menu!

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe’ve been several times and find it great value for money. Lovely linens & crockery. Initial coffee was warm, hence the 4/5, this quickly replaced with hot coffee. The coffee is very strong, so I chose tea. Would definitely visit again.

This is a restaurant that sticks to what it knows best which is excellent Italian food, great service and a warm hospitable atmosphere. Chesters greatest hidden gem for decades. On another note and as an indication of how well the staff welcome their customers they were looking after a couple who were both blind and treated them to such a special and caring evening. You could tell how much this couple appreciated the whole experience.
