We visited on Sunday 17 October and were very impressed. Lovely surroundings, good service, great food at a reasonable price. What more do you want?.

Red Lion – MacclesfieldOur 3 course lunch with a sugarvine offer was served as perfectly as they would serve dinner to a high-rolling guest. OK the portions are a little 'delicate' but the presentation is superb and the flavours on a grand scale.
ABode Chester – ChesterCafe Salar - what can I say? In a word...Faultless! staff are the most friendly and relaxed professionals you will meet in the trade - obviously hand-picked by an experienced hand. great ambience. Food and drink quality? really second to none; and the price: is right!
Cafe Salar – LymmA diamond in the rough. The service is wonderful, the staff very friendly and the food is outstanding. We came for just drinks on a different night and the standard of service was still just perfect - attentive but never too much, and nothing was too much bother for any of the staff. We will definitely be heading there again soon, and I'm looking forward to trying different seasonal dishes on the menu.
The Grill on the Square – WarringtonReally good fish and chips, the best I have tasted anywhere. The fish is just delicious, and the chips are delicious as well! Only complaint is that if you order fish and chips together they salt it all after you have the fish on top, so you get very salty fish and barely any salt on the chips, which is ok, but not what i like.
Britania – Heaton MoorOverpriced, cheap food, cheap ingredients, terrible service and my only guess is the previous reviews were written by themselves. It's not Spanish, not in the slightest. The menu, pub grub, cooked very well but lacking the taste of good ingredients. The wine, picked up in your local Asda as the cheapest wine they sell, sold you you at 200% markup - you'll have a hangover tomorrow. "Are you Salar?" No, I'm not a cretin without style or taste thank you.
Cafe Salar – LymmMet up with a friend of 60 plus years! Introduced her to MC's. Loved the Manchester restaurant so thought she would appreciate...and she did. Fantastic location and seeing as we only meet up a couple of times a year a special treat for us. Great staff, not too formal, hit the right note. FABULOUS!!
ABode Chester – ChesterFour of us went to Oswalds last Thursday for my birthday treat. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The food was cooked very well..I would say by a chef not a pub cook. Can't understand why it was so empty. If you enjoy your meal get recommending and they may have a bit more atmosphere !
Helter Skelter – Frodshamhad sandwiches here for lunch after stopping off from the middlewood way 2 slices of bread cut into 4 a bit of salad and a few crisps chips where extra so for about £7 a bit pricey but drinks ok not a rip off for a bottle of wine around £7 so nice for a drink but pricey to eat
The Miners Arms – Macclesfieldportions very small and over priced everything measured out 1 tomato cut in 4 £9 for a salad you want more on the plate sorry and drinks pricey cheapest bottle of wine on menu £14 £4 in sainsburys
Gusto – Alderley Edgeevery thing is measured out i.e 1 tomato 4 strips of chicken 8 croutons etc how do we know this we complained about how small everything was and the manageress told us this very pricey for drinks also bottle of beer £4
Pizza Express – Macclesfieldthought this place did not do food but allowed you to take in your own takeaway or have one delivered
Dunstan Inn – MacclesfieldWe always go to this chippy as they are the best fish and chips. Arthur and his staff are very friendly whenever we go for a takeaway.
Crompton Road Chippy – Macclesfieldmy husband and i decided to go out for Sunday lunch somewhere a little different from our local haunts. we decided to book as we were not so sure if it was going to be busy. we arrived and were pleasantly greeted by the staff and escorted to a table, i asked to sit in the 'posher' left hand side of the pub which was empty at the time, there seemed to be a little hesitation about us sitting there, i initially thought the tables were already reserved but people were coming and going out of that room after we sat down so I'm not so sure why they looked surprised at our request to sit there. the drinks were brought to us promptly but were quite steeply priced. the food arrived quickly too, very well presented on the funky plates looking very contemporary. the mains was delicious but we were given a tiny bowl of mixed veg to share, quite a poor portion a sunday lunch i thought! the dessert arrived shortly afterwards, and it was thoroughly tasty, but im not sure how they justify charging 6 pounds for a 2 inch square of choc brownie with a small scoop of ice cream on top!! the meal in total for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 glasses of wine and 2 cokes came to 63.65. i cant grumble over the presentation or quality of food however we never had a table check for any of the courses, and i felt in total it was very over priced, even for a contemporary pub.
Duke Of Portland – NorthwichWould not recommend this place at all, I am on a gluten free diet, I ordered some food from a small chinese lady whom could not understand my order and my requirements and suggested I have prawns on toast!! unprofessional place, would not recommend to any one else to book.
fantastic food, excellent service. with a wide variety of tastes to please any gastronome.
ABode Chester – Chesterpizza roma is the best and most of all the pizzas are excellent from touseef manchester
Pizza Roma – WilmslowAn avid Indian food fan,i highly rate the village indian Tattenhall, also Anise in Wrexham but the Blue Ginger Winsford is up there with the best, excellent food first class service a must for good Indian food fans, keep up the standard
