Aroi-Thai – NantwichWe recently dined at the Cabbage Hall restaurant for my husband’s birthday, as we were intrigued to sample the menu since the new ownership. I firmly believe that the food was very over rated. We both had the chicken broth to start which we both agreed was taste less. We were absolutely shocked as the Head Chef Robert philosophy is to use local produce so were completely disappointed when the vegetables in the broth were tasteless. So we can only assume that the vegetables were over cooked. My husband ordered the steak for his main course (medium/well) and it was presented to him rare. We highlighted this to the head waiter and he quickly returned it back to the kitchen. 15 minutes had past and my husband was presented with a new steak. At this time I had completed my main course so we both ate alone and my husband at that time had completely lost his appetite and only ate a small amount, commenting that the Steak was tasteless. Shocking that such a renowned restaurant could get something as simple as cooking a fillet steak completely wrong. We then decided to call it a night and requested for the bill, the total charge with a bottle of wine was £130.00. Which in normal circumstances if the food is of extreme quality is a reasonable sum to pay? In our instance this was not. I did question the bill and suggested it would have been a nice gesture if they had adjusted the bill for the shortcomings. To our dismay the Head Chef (Robert) cam bolting over to our table, and aggressively said to us "Do you have a Problem" we explained the situation but he seemed to get even more irate and began to shake. "What a fabulous Birthday experience" My husband paid the bill and we left promptly. So I suppose my recommendation is that we would never eat there again and perhaps people should travel that little further to Restaurant 1539 where they ooze excellent hospitality. Hopefully a member the Cabbage Hall staff will read my posting, if so please pass a recommendation to the Proprietor/Head Chef (Robert) as the old saying states "stick to your knitting". In other words stay in the kitchen and don't do front of house as he obviously does not have the skills to do this with panache
Pesto at Cabbage Hall – TarporleyFantastic food. Excellent choice of wines- would recommend the bellinis! Very friendly waiters. Very good service. Have eaten here many times and have never been able to fault anything about the place at all.
Romazzino – NantwichGreat quality food. Excellent choice. Good service. Good atmosphere and surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Aroi-Thai – NantwichWe celebrated my husband's birthday with a meal at Sutton Hall and were very impressed. The setting is magnificent, the real log fire (welcome even in June!), the old beams and the quirky rooms and original furniture. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will certainly be returning.
Sutton Hall – Macclesfieldwe found the restaurant grubby and boring, wine was brought to our table already open. my pasta was bubbling like molten lava. the italian garlic bread was made with a FRENCH stick.
Ristorante Italia – BebingtonExcellent dinner: beautiful peaceful surroundings: safe, fenced in play area on grass for children of all ages; very visible to adult eyes without need for continuous intervention; they even eat there (inside or out). Great for family treats / meetings. Lovely for just eating a deux in quiet privacy.
Blacksmiths Arms – MacclesfieldGreat service with excellent food. This is my best restaurant in Warrington.

Efe’s – WidnesMy Boyfriend and i went to Oswalds one Tuesday evening and were very impressed with this gorgeously intimate Restaurant. The Service was helpful but not intrusive, the food was delicious and well worth the money. Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending it to friends and family.
Helter Skelter – FrodshamI went to Goomet on Friday night with some friends to try the new Teppanyaki, it was FANTASTIC. The food is amazing, the Sushi, Tempura the meat chicken fish are all excellent. The service is wonderful. Book a table or a place at the Teppanyaki. Enjoy
Goomet – CreweIt can't be beaten in Warrington. My favourites are fresh fruit salad and freshly made pancakes on a Sunday morning!, fair trade coffees and home-made brioche bread and butter pudding, feta and sun-blush tomato salad, open butternut squash lasagna..... and the proper chips. It's a laid-back bistro in the evening, accommodating veggies, meat-eaters, all age ranges....keep it up.
Greenfields Deli Bistro – WarringtonExcellent food and service, great atmosphere I would highly recommend Baci
Trattoria Baci – LymmWe visited La Fattoria's predecessor, Vito's a few years back and decided on are turn visit. The name may have changed but the service, and especially, the quality and quantity of food has improved - if that was at all possible given Vito's excellent reputation at the time. As with all the best Italian restaurants a lot of what goes on in the kitchen is open view, giving the diner entertainment value as his pizza dough is rolled and spun to order as well as the peace of mind of knowing what the kitchen and staff are like. Service, when we visited on a weekday lunchtime, was bright, courteous and with just the right amount of briskness. The tomato and garlic bread for starters was crisp and light with an adequate amount of baked on passata to ensure that it didn't slide off the base. My partner's pollo alla Valdestana was moist and tender with good quality ham and mozzarella and, again, just enough tomato while my Pizza Fiorentina filled its huge plate to perfection with a topping of fresh spinach and a perfectly cooked egg ( one Fiorentina I once ordered had what looked alarmingly like bits of scrambled egg dolloped on top as an afterthought). The chilled Gavi to accompany the food had that zesty freshness which North Italian wines should always have. We'll definitely return to La fattoria next time we visit Chester. Hopefully it will still be the same in name as well as quality.
