Just what it should be, a country pub with home cooked value for money food in a quiet setting. Good wine list at the right prices and personal service from landlord and landlady who make you feel at home.

Carden Arms – MalpasA very relaxing and enjoyable restaurant. The menu is a little limited but the food is excellent.
Briscola – MacclesfieldLovely, authentic Italian nosh. Always busy at weekends, which is a good sign. Friendly host and helpful waiting on staff.
Casa Brasserie at The Crown Hotel – NantwichAt last! A decent Chinese restaurant in Nantwich! Run by a lovely Irish lady and (I think) her Chinese husband, they produce the most gorgeous food. Often difficult to book a table but they are most accommodating. Only downside is it's a little small and cramped and gets very hot when full. Still, I can put up with that for the quality of the food!
Chopstix – NantwichLovely food, great menu choice. When the weather's hot and it's busy outside and in, the service can be a bit slow but they're always friendly and helpful.
Bhurtpore Inn – NantwichI have been dining at this restaurant for 15 years and the standards have remained consistently high in quality and service .The dishes that stand out for me are the mixed starter, sizzling fillet steak peking style, sweet and sour dishes and crispy duck with pancakes. The salt and pepper jumbo prawns in shell are lovely too. Should be in the good food guides!!
Handforth Cantonese Restaurant – WilmslowWell recommended little restaurant, excellent service and gorgeous food, the chef even made us some bruscettas for starters that were not on the menu.++++++++++++
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldWe have eaten here on many occasions, and cannot fault the standard of the food ,and the staff are so friendly , the takeaway has always had a good reputation, but you need to go and enjoy the restaurant
Weston Balti – MacclesfieldYou must go and try the Carvery which is available every day. At busy times you have to queue for a while but the food and portion sizes are fantastic. The cost is unbelievable. A great meal, in nice surroundings, cheaper than anywhere else in the area.
Ye Olde Manor – CreweI have tried many Indian Restaurants and never found one to beat Tandoori nights in Runcorn. The food is excellent, you can tell they only use best quality ingredients. I have tried most of the special dishes on the Menu, Balti Exotica being a particular favourite.
Tandoori Night Restaurant – RuncornHave travelled in Asia for 3 years and was overjoyed to find this Restaurant in Nantwich the food was as good as any I had in HK The staff are very helpful and I would have to say this is the best Chinese restaurant in the north west
Chopstix – NantwichThis is a very nice pub/restaurant that caters for all, with lovely views of the countryside. We were so impressed with the cleanliness. The staff were so friendly and hospitable, and so were the regulars. The food is excellent and all homemade. We fully recommend the Red Lion Inn, Goostrey.
The Red Lion Inn – Holmes ChapelVery good deal for a Sunday buffet. ~ However would avoid if you prefer non-smoking places as it is only small and has smoking available throughout. Food is generally very good and price is fantastic. Friendly service.
Cafe Naj – ChesterI frequent this Tandoori house on a regular basis, the owner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and the food and drink is top drawer. It is a very busy place, which I guess is a good sign as it means it is popular. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Frodsham Tandoori – FrodshamSix of us ate in the restaurant and the service was excellent. We have had many take aways from here and they have always been of a very high standard, having the food there and then made it even more enjoyable. All the girls were even presented with a rose after the meal. They also do a Sunday buffet would recommend. Excellent quality and a reasonable price. What more could you want!
Weston Balti – MacclesfieldI found the food a bit fancy - Iam more of an egg and chips man myself. However the ambience was great -ideal for wining and dining my B&B landlady
Briscola – MacclesfieldI enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch here. The decor is fresh and airy - not for you if you like character pubs, but you have to go a long way to get a better bite to eat. My husband is still raving about the chips in beef dripping (the best in Cheshire by all accounts). The chocolate brownie desert was heaven on a plate - served with delicious vanilla ice cream. There's not a huge range of vegetarian food, but at least it's a bit more varied than the usual microwave lasagne, and of a good standard. The use of fresh local produce was evident throughout the menu. We will definitely go back next time we are around Northwich.
Duke Of Portland – NorthwichAlways a Lovely Welcome Food Excellent Atmosphere Great Hope you enjoy the experience as much as we do See you there soon
