Firenze – NantwichI recently attended a wedding at Peckforton Castle and thought the food was dreadful. I was astounded to find out the food and drinks package was £100 per guest. For that I got: * the worst, dish-water tasting soup I have ever tasted * a stodgy, tasteless vegetarian stew (which seemed to consist of carrots, some dumpling and some pale-looking tasteless "gloop" * a bowl of strawberries and cream * approx 1-2 glasses of very average wine. The Marks and Spencer Dine In for £10 is much tastier and filling than the food served here. What's more the staff who were waiting on the tables didn't seem ot have much of a clue about what they were doing. In the evening there was a very small buffet, mainly a few wraps, some chicken legs and some potato wedges. I understand the new owners have made some improvements to the activities on offer and the interior of the castle, but they could do with providing some training to their staff on customer service. In fact, when we raised some of our concerns with management we also found them very lacking in customer service too.
1851 Restaurant @ Peckforton Castle – TarporleyI found the food disappointing, my partner asked for his steak to be cooked rare - medium rare, when it was served, one very small piece was well done and the other very small piece was medium to well done. The 2 very small pieces of steak were accompanies with a large portion of mashed potato, quite obviously to pad out the portion. My reservation was on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not full, but was incredibly noisy and lacked atmosphere. To be honest, I was disappointed with the overall experience I had whilst visiting this restaurant and did not feel that I received value for money.,
Peruga At Woodheys – MarpleThe Pizza and Peroni £9.00 meal deal was perfect for a 'working Dinner'. The surroundings are very nice and the courtyard area at the rear a very pleasant place to relax after eating. All round nice place.
Firenze – NantwichHave had take-away twice from Cherry Valley and both times found it to be OK but no more. Fairly pricey considering the quality.
Cherry Valley Eating House – ChesterHaving lived locally and enjoyed very good Chinese from the little Tai Ping i now realise what a gem it actually is. There is nowhere within South Wirral/Chester that comes near to the consistency and quality of LTP - miss at your peril.
Little Tai Ping – Ellesmere PortWorking on the outskirts of alderley I'm lucky enough to be close enough to eat in at Fosters frequently. We can reserve a table and are always greeted with a friendly smile. The food is superb and is washed down nicely with a large mug of tea
Fosters Fish and Chips – Alderley Edgevisit to the macclesfield pizza express and we both had the chicken polo salad well the chicken on both our plates was pitiful about 4 small pieces each when we called the manager over she explained that you get half a chicken fillet each and that how it is for every pizza express but we have had meals in buxton and Manchester and their chickens must be a lot bigger we asked about the tomato and that it was 1 cut into 4 pieces "yes that's correct was the answer "now we are not big eaters but £9 for this is the big high street rip off of the year
Pizza Express – MacclesfieldFood Fantastic, service good - went for my husbands birthday had a great time - would recommend it to anyone that likes a good curry.
Indigo Indian Restaurant – MarpleThis has got to be the best Indian restaurant I have tried in years. They provide a excellent service. The staff are very polite and caring. I have never been disappointed with the food and service. Best Dishes to try are: Chicken Balti, Chicken Joypor, Chicken Chotpot and much more but these are my three best.
Frodsham Tandoori – FrodshamStay away.Food lacks flavour, portions are child sized, menu descriptions inaccurate, service slow and all grossly overpriced, when related to the quality Complaints are not accepted and left unresolved by disinterested management. Pub has a reputation locally for barring complainers so beware..
The Legh Arms – KnutsfordI first visited Gusto as part of a party from work and I loved the vibrancy and the atmosphere, even on a Tuesday night the restaurant has a buzz about it. Whether your with a big party or just a table of 2 I have always found the service to be great and the food very tasty... My favourite is the flat rump steak but I always save room for the Tiramisu its the best around
Gusto – KnutsfordVery good food, had the carvery plenty to choose from.Would go again.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – MacclesfieldHave been twice now and both times had great food, excellent service and a really nice time. Spoilt for choice between the menu and the specials board. Definitely worth a visit.
The Grill on the Square – WarringtonDelicious fish and chips and curry sauce from this friendly local Chinese chippy.
21 Fish and Chips – CongletonA welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. If you are looking for something slightly different give the Bangkok Thai a try.
See Quare – CongletonA welcome new addition to Congleton's restaurant scene. On arrival you are warmly greeted by the Thai staff and they look after you very well. The decor is cosy, the food delicious and authentic Thai, and it is reasonably priced as well.
See Quare – CongletonLovely welcoming atmosphere, very child friendly, would highly recommend to a young family. food is delicious, and plenty of it.
