The Boars Head – NantwichLovely pub at the heart of Holmes Chapel, easily the best in the village. Fantastic staff - really friendly and helpful. Food good and reasonably priced. Just been redecorated.
Old Red Lion – Holmes ChapelWhat a great place very small but the staff are great the food fantastic and George the chef is fantastic and his jokes with staff and customers makes the place along with the great food, get down there it's a must visit place.
Delgados – WarringtonExcellent food. We have dined here on two occasions in the last month and will be regular diners in the future. If you remember Duncan's menus from the Alderley Restaurant then there will definitely be something to tempt you. However there are a number of new dishes which are up to the usual high standard
39 Steps – WilmslowA very enjoyable restaurant with a wide choice of excellent meals on offer. Only a small restaurant so the atmosphere is cosy and the chef pays special attention to the preparation of food. Friendly serving staff helped to make this a very pleasant evening out.
Delgados – WarringtonVery good Italian for the UK Friendly and helpful staff.
Casa Brasserie at The Crown Hotel – NantwichGreat innovative indian cuisine, attentive staff and a fine night out.
Naaz Tandoori – NantwichI must say the food was very enjoyable, similar to a couple of other local restaurants i eat at but a lot more expensive.....I really do think if you alter your food prices your restaurant will do a lot more business....Try it and see....Many thanks Gordon
The Cottage – KnutsfordA true diamond in the rough, a genuine flavour of Italy in Golborne! Excellent food, friendly service and good atmosphere makes this place a little special. Very reasonable prices make this place accessible every night of the week! Well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed!
Don Pino Restaurant – WarringtonI have dined here several times and experienced a different quality of food and service on each occasion. The pub itself is in a lovely occasion, located roughly on the back corner of Delamere Forest. The interior is modern and very clean but not so modern as to lose some traditional pub characteristics. The food is competitively priced compared to other establishments in the Frodsham area. My first visit, during a weekday evening, was wonderful. We were greeted by the maitre d' who told us the specials and the fish dishes available. We were sat in a modern corner of the restaurant, which was very nice. The waiter placed cloth napkins on our laps and we were served bread while waiting for our dishes. Our meals - lamb shank and baby gammon joint were both excellent. The portions were very generous and the side dishes very fresh. The puddings were also very nice, but I thought not very well portioned compared to the rest of the meal - but alas I was full!! It was definitely a top-notch pub dining experience. The bill for two was approximately £50. For my second visit, which we were very much looking forward to, we sat at the back of the restaurant, which has more of a pub feel about it. This time the service was not up to par with our last visit. No bread on tables and paper not cloth napkins. Our waiter seemed to be over-stretched despite the place not being full. Overall, the meals were good, but a risotto dish was stodgy and the mint gravy on my lamb shank was overpowering. We were sat very closely to the table next to us, which felt a bit imposing with the couple next to use having a good nose at our meals as we ate. This all seemed a bit silly as there were other tables free, but they bunched two couples together. Nevertheless, the overall experience was still more appreciable than other local pubs. On our third visit, a Sunday evening (around 8.30pm), we had no food at all as they had ran out of it! I do not know if this was just an excuse for the kitchen finishing up early or they had genuinely used up all the food. The maitre d?seemed to take delight in telling us how many dishes had been served that day, but to have absolutely no dishes to offer us appeared a bit strange particularly as they know Sunday is going to be a very busy time. This has somewhat put me off from ever returning - my conclusion is: very nice restaurant depending on where your sat, the time you go and always phone beforehand.
The Goshawk – TarvinTry the set menu for £10. It is excellent value for 2 courses and coffee. It was nice to be able to take coffee in the lounge by the fire on cold dismal afternoon. Great service and attention to detail.
Pesto at Cabbage Hall – TarporleyFantastic restaurant with an extensive menu. All the staff are efficient and courteous, and attend your every whim. Highly recommended *****
Ruhi Balti – PrentonExcellent, we dine at the Cottage infrequently but often enough to now we will be well served with a very good meal and a quality wine. No need to rush, just sit back and enjoy the evening with your guests with confidence the service will match.
The Cottage – KnutsfordI recently visited the Duke of Portland for the first time and i would recommend it to anyone looking for decent food in an informal setting. The atmosphere was great with friendly efficient service in spite of being busy. I loved the black pudding, and my wife adored her chicken breast stuffed with cheese and pancetta. Their dessert menu also offers a lot more than most pubs. I didn? mind spending a bit extra than i would've for a lot less quality.
Duke Of Portland – NorthwichFirst class food and service with an oriental smile
Man Zen – KnutsfordFantastic restaurant, unique in decor with a good atmosphere. Good prices for good food and nice beers.
