Pecks Restaurants – CongletonThe staff were friendly and helpful however they were let down by the appalling food that came out of the kitchen. The waitress looked embarrassed to be serving such rubbish. We waited almost an hour for a table and then about 40 minutes for food so you can imagine we were quite hungry by then. White wine was served warm, then when we asked if we could have some cold white wine they brought it with ice in! Calamari in doughnut batter ugh!! Fajitas - a warm sizzle plate covered with fried onions and red peppers topped with slices of cold roast chicken - not a hint of spice anywhere. Cajun chicken - a huge plate of green salad with a few small shreds of the same cold roast chicken thrown in. Unbelievable and what courage the chef must have had to send out those dishes from the kitchen - or maybe they just don't give a damn considering that the place gets really full once the disco starts. Surely not the place if you like good food.
Fiesta Havana – ChesterI was really disappointed with what I thought would be 'authentic' italian food. Starters - mussels, some closed and very small.. caesar salad made with cheap mayonnaise... carpaccio served with the mayonnaise??? no olive oil. Main meal - pizza was made with pre made base and was soggy and way too thick.. Lasagne was good. Pizza was the biggest disappointment - no need to have pre made bases and to have these in an 'authentic' italian restaurant is unbelievable to me. The decor was good and staff were friendly.
Casa Brasserie at The Crown Hotel – Nantwichgreat food, great service, great pub. I live in the town and all i can say is well done to adam the manager
Shakespeare The – NantwichThis is a unique experience. Food is made on the premises and caters for diets - compares very well with National Trust standard. You eat in a magnificent 'chapel' with stained glass windows and vaulted ceiling. A must for tourists. A minor carp is that whilst being served at the buffet and then paying - the food cools. At busy times make sure that you find your table before you buy your meal.
Chester Cathedral Refectory Restaurant – ChesterThis restaurant specialises in the finest Chinese cuisine. The decor is somewhat unoriginal but tasteful, with subtle lighting and immaculately laid place settings. The food is delicious, especially the mouth-watering Spare Ribs and crispy Duck. A relaxing atmosphere and delicious food combine to create an outstanding dining experience.
Chopstix – NantwichChopstix is a great local Chinese restaurant that offers well-prepared Chinese dishes with perhaps a slight Vietnamese twist. Food is as good and authentic as one might find in Chinatown, This has to be one of Cheshires best restaurants the staff are very welcoming and the food is outstanding this is what eating out is all about. A must to try.
Chopstix – NantwichAfter the recent refurbishment, this pub has been transformed into a truly beautiful restaurant. I believe this to be the nicest food I have tasted in Cheshire and South Manchester for years! We have been twice this week and will surely be going again
The Romper – MarpleWhat can I say. Food and service very high standard however the restaurant eating area is cramp and without ambience and the lighting is too dim. So if it's good food you're after food go there. But if you want to entertain a date..... A starter for 2 with 2 main meals a rice and 1 side order washed down with 4 beers was £48
Chopstix – NantwichThe place is outstanding, a hidden gem!! The food was wonderful and very well priced, the menu is excellent, so much quality and choice Definitely worth many visits, drop in for a cocktail or two! You can also have your own private party!!
Residence Restaurant and Bar – Nantwichnice pub in a lovely little village highly recommended.
Carden Arms – Malpasme and my partner visited Sahib for our anniversary in march, when we arrived, there was loud r&b music playing, which automatically spoilt our evening. when our meal came, it was not up to scratch. there was raisins in my chicken korma.. however they managed to make poppadoms correctly.. (clever chef eh.) After this, my partner kindly asked the waiter if he could place the wine lid back on our bottle as we had had enough and we wanted to take the bottle home with us. we then watched the arrogant waiter take our lid off our wine bottle out of the bin and place it on our bottle, i found this appalling...as would any other human being. on our way out of the restaurant, after refusing to pay for the spoilt bottle of wine, we began to leave the restaurant, while the manager and the cocky waiter smirked and watched.
Sahib Indian Restaurant – Lymmi have been here a couple of times due to my employment at crewe and both times I've been I've had pleasant service and very nice food i would go here again and would recommend this to other people
Koconut Grove @ Cheshire Cheese – CreweDecent pub this, one side is for the tractor boys drinking, but the other is a cosy dining area with a good mix of traditional and inventive cuisine. Proper portly landlord serves good ales and the food we ate was excellent.
Carden Arms – MalpasWe had noticed the standard of food dropping here before now but our latest visit will be the last. The food was awful - frozen chips, bisto and instant mash. Old stale fish and was was supposed to be fillet steak but believe me it wasn't. It has also gone very expensive. If somebody recommends this place to you they must know nothing about food.
Rising Sun – Crewethis is one of the best Indian restaurants i have tried in about 10 years. There food is so good and the good thing about it is not expensive. People you don't know what your missing trust me come and try the food and see for yourself.
Frodsham Tandoori – FrodshamWe stayed at The Pheasant last year and are returning again this month. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast all of which were excellent. Lunch was simple, very tasty and definitely very fresh! Our evening meal was amazing, we are all "foodies" and very difficult to please. We struggled to decide from the menu, even though it was appropriately concise. My first choice was "sold out" but I see this as a good sign of fresh produce. Everyone enjoyed their food, it was cooked to perfection and the flavours were superb. Breakfast was tradition on a plate. Everything an English Breakfast should be and cooked the way it should be! On top of that the place is gorgeous, the sofas and fireplaces are homely. The rooms are spotless and let me tell you the view......WOW.
Pheasant Inn – ChesterVisited the spread eagle last Sunday , my starter of meatballs were utterly delicious followed by a mouth-watering roast lamb dinner. it was that good we had to go again on Thursday, this time it was prawn cocktail and to follow was the most delicious fillet steak with Diane sauce that was amazing ,i enjoyed every mouthful. the waitresses were very friendly, polite and efficient. cant wait for our next visit well done to the spread eagle!!!
