Ristorante Sergio – ChesterFantastic Fresh Italian cocktails, great service and very tasty food. This restaurant is a breath of fresh air to Chester. You can dine, drink and dance till two in the morning. A great night in one venue! My husband and I had one of the best nights we have had in a long time.
Bollicini – ChesterThe Ash is a traditionally decorated pub-restaurant, and as soon as you walk through the doors you feel welcome. The food was fantastic! The portions were huge and were not overpriced at all. Smokers can dine in the main pub area and non-smokers can enjoy a secluded dining area, with comfy sofa's! Theres plenty going on at the night times for all ages and tastes. Overall a really nice place to dine and drink in.
Ash Hotel – Heaton MoorThis is a great Indian restaurant as good as the ones on the curry mile in Manchester if not better.
Shalimar Restaurant The – MacclesfieldReasonably priced all you can eat buffet with a wide selection of food. Atmosphere of a canteen with everyone jumping up to grab plate fulls of deep fried seaweed (cabbage - if you didn't know) and prawn toast. Menu and range of food varies depending on time of day and if its a weekend. Prices reasonable - but a fair bit more than the greasy spoon £5 menu i was used to in Newcastle's china town.
Fuxion Oriental – Ellesmere PortA pub with great character and charm, which has been mainly transformed to provide adequate dining space - at the cost of lounge seating space for only drinking. A truly English and traditional menu serving game and other British favourites. This is a great little pub if you want to get away from the usual hustle and bustle of the more commercial pubs, with food being cooked from fresh. There is also a selection of specials available. The pub also offers a selection of wines and beers. We had the steak and mushroom pie which came with a healthy portion of tasty mash and veg on the side. The meal portions are very generous and it takes a hungry person to finish one off (especially after a starter) the dessert menu is very satisfying and scrumptious too. Well worth a visit.
Bunbury Arms – ChesterAlthough the service was not speedy, the staff were friendly. The food was absolutely beautiful and the nicest meal I have eaten in a long time, I had the Lamb Shank with gorgeous mash potato, my father had the fillet steak which comes out on a hot rock for him to cook to his own taste. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy splendid food.
Chetwode Arms – WarringtonVery nice place to eat, I've been regularly over the past 20 years and not had a bad meal yet.
Chesters – MacclesfieldHad an very good lunch. The Roast Pork was delicious - meat was plentiful and tender although there was perhaps not enough of the tasty crackling; vegetables were perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and clearly homemade. Well kept Robinsons beer too.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – Macclesfieldwhat a hidden gem! home cooked food at a value for money price, and the presentation is second to none.
The Moorings – NorthwichJane the landlady cooks herself assisted by Cheryl. A varied menu is available. Dean the landlord supplies a fine selection of wines and beers. Pensioners specials at lunchtime. Book early as their reputation grows.
Farmers Arms – NantwichTo experience the best Spanish Tapas you must visit the King William Pub in Wilmslow. As well as Tapas there is a full menu of traditional meals. On the drinks front in addition to the well kept range of Robinson beers there are fine wines and a monthly special selection. This place must be one of Wilmslow's best kept secrets...!
King William – WilmslowThe Davenport arms is an amazing restaurant it has the highest quality of food at lowish prices the waitress' are very helpful but no over helpful the time we waited for our food was not long and also the food is made fresh and has a very large menu and has different eating areas
Pesto At The Davenport Arms – MacclesfieldWent on a Sunday and had the buffet, lots of different dishes, you can go back fore as much as you want. The food was excellent, piping hot, and plenty of it. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and not in your face all the time. We have been back on a few occasions and recommended it to lots of people. The cost of the buffet was £8.50 the last time we went in autumn 2005WELL WORTH A VISIT.
Khans – SandbachService consistently friendly and efficient. Comprehensive pizza menu and also traditional Italian pasta, meat, chicken and fish dishes. "Specials of the Day" often include interesting fish dishes which are usually of good standard and value.
Donatello Pizzeria – WarringtonDon't be put off by the prices as the food and drink is worth EVERY penny! We went for a romantic birthday meal and it was wonderful. The staff are professional, friendly and really informative about the food, the atmosphere is relaxed while classy, and the food was simply devine. Chester has been my home for many years and I am really pleased that we now have somewhere like this in the centre of town.
Upstairs At The Grill – Chester14 February 2006. Fabulous meal great price great atmosphere. Would recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Nice helpful staff. One of the best meals we have for a long time. We were a party of 4 who will certainly be visiting this restaurant again. Many thanks to all.
Carriages Restaurant – ChesterThis is a fantastic place for that special meal, have eaten here a few times and stayed at the hotel. The restaurant serves little extras, i.e. canapés, and teeny bowls of soup as appetisers, which are 'complimentary', lovely venue.
