We were at The Plough yesterday. I had the roast Turkey dinner and my husband had a Chicken Curry, both were excellent. Very good value for money too.

The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichFour of us came for Sunday lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was fab, and portion size great. The service was impeccable & we said so when we were there. Great atmosphere, even though it was a hot Sunday and as a result fewer diners than to be expected. Panama Hattys goes to the top of our Sunday Lunch listing. We will be back very soon.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyAn excellent traditional country pub with good food, good beer and friendly staff. It was really nice sitting outside eating a light lunch in the sunshine.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonCame for Sunday dinner food was delicious nice attentive friendly staff my husband had the fishcakes I had lamb roast with cauliflower cheese highly recommend
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamCame for a Sunday roast. It was lovely. A shame there isn’t an alternative option for vegetarians other than nut roast. I am a vegetarian but also allergic to nuts. They kindly added more vegetables but I was charged the same for my friend who had roast beef which seemed a little off. Otherwise lovely service.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichCelebrated my friends birthday with champagne afternoon tea. We had a lovely table and the grounds were beautiful. They made my friend feel special with a happy birthday sign made from chocolate. Would definitely recommend
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe have had afternoon tea several times at Mere Court. I took my dog with me this time as the weather was glorious. We sat in the gardens which were perfect to walk round and play a quick game of ball. The staff were fabulous, very accommodating of our 4 legged guest. I'll he back again.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordSpent a lovely couple of hours enjoying lunch and relaxing on our wedding anniversary this weekend. Our first time, and will definitely be back. The menu noted a wait of around 25 minutes for food, but ours was with us within 15 minutes - the Chicken, Pesto & Mozzarella was delicious. There was a lovely bustle around the place, chilled tunes and good chats to enjoy our child-free time. The only slight negative was that we thought that the wine, as lovely as it was, was a little overpriced at £35 a bottle.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichStaff very friendly & helpful-food not as nice as last time-steak very chewy & pie pastry was hard.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyThis restaurant is absolutely brilliant for a quality and relaxed meal out. It is clear the staff have a passion for customer care as well and operate well together. The food was well prepared with generous portions, the extra touches are lovely but the real treat is the extensive wine list . I will be back
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldVery nice atmosphere, good food, excellent staff and service and food very good value for money. Wine a little expensive
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonVisited Mere Court Hotel with my husband yesterday (10/5/24) and this is our first ever visit and definitely wont be the last. First impressions didnt disappoint, the hotel and grounds are immaculate, and it was very easy to park. We were greeted at reception by 2 members of staff who were both pleasant and polite, we were shown to our table which was in a small area, very cosy, and immaculate overlooking the grounds. We had Traditional Afternoon Tea which was lovely and plentiful for 2 people, the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Afterwards we had a walk around the gardens and lake which was stunning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice drive out on a sunny day for afternoon tea.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordI have dined we you a few times and must say the food has been delicious both lunch and in the evenings. Staff very helpful and attentive . Will. E coming again soon. Best wishes Wendy
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldHad a lovely meal at La Capella, though we sat outside & not in the restaurant as it was such a lovely evening. Ordered 3 small plates each - which was just about right for a hungry person but 2 would have suited me better as the portions were more generous than we were expecting. Good beer on tap too - The Coach house mild! Managed to book last minute on Friday night which was nice.
The Tigers Head Country Pub and Dining – FrodshamLovely food and service!
Pacino’s – ChesterAnother first class meal hugely enjoyed by my guests and I in a delightful setting last Friday lunchtime. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This is the second time I’ve eaten at The Plough in recent weeks, and both meals have been outstanding. Prices are below the norm, yet the quality of the food and the service are second to none. I am always cautious about making recommendations, but I have absolutely no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending The Plough at Whitegate. You will not be disappointed!
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichExcellent service, the staff are lovely, quality food, really great menu and gorgeous surroundings. 10 out of 10.
