We had a lovely evening, food was amazing, as always
Pacino’s – ChesterAlways enjoy the Bacchus but miss the Soufflé starter and Halibut main
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldHad a lovely afternoon tea with a friend. The sandwiches were freshly cut and the fillings generous. The scones were fresh and there was a good selection of cakes. The staff at the desk were welcoming and the young men who served us were efficient, friendly and polite. I have been to this restaurant several times before and always found it to be reliably good.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe thought we would be brave and go out for an evening meal it’s been a long time since the recent bad times of Covid. We were so pleased we picked this lovely restaurant, the excellent food, the friendly service and the atmosphere it made a lovely evening. Thank you, we will be back.
Pacino’s – ChesterThe Italian gem of Lymm and surrounding areas. Food is amazing and service and atmosphere are spot on Always our go to treat with or without the kids
Elmas Restaurant – LymmAlways a great experience , food, service and ambiance superb
Cafe De Paris – NantwichLovely food , very tasty, freshly prepared and well presented. Extensive menu to cater for most tastes. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely be back.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortAlthough we like Cafe P for its ambience and pleasant service, on this occasion it was disappointing. My Mum’s tea was weak so we asked for another teabag. We were then charged the full price for a pot of tea for just one tea bag! £3.25! This is greedy management and it has put us off going back.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichI was looking on the internet for a pub for lunch after a dog walk with friends round Delamere Forest and came across The Carriers Inn. We certainly struck lucky and hit on the right place! We booked for an early lunch on Thursday, as we were five people with five dogs, one a puppy, and we didn't want to potentially disturb others so chose a weekday when a pub was less likely to be very busy. We arrived early and were allowed straight to the table that was in the corner, with plenty of room to tuck the dogs in (they all behaved beautifully, by the way, once their initial excitement of being allowed into a pub subsided). There were quite a few people in, even at that time, but still other tables available and the atmosphere was welcoming and convivial. We were served drinks promptly at the table and food followed without delays. We ordered baguettes, a main meal and two changed their minds to steak pie once they heard that it was the special (and weren't disappointed - although some of the others were envious, especially of the gravy). The food was tasty and hot - and lovely chips! The staff were friendly and helpful. The only potential fly in the ointment was another customer who arrived as we were about leave and found fault with everything (from the music to having dogs in the room). She made her feelings abundantly clear but even this didn't spoil the atmosphere and we noticed that the staff accommodated her and her group without upsetting others. Hopefully she relaxed and had as nice a meal and experience as we did. My friends and I will definitely be back again, it was a lovely way to end a dog walk round the lake at Delamere, and I have other friends, that I've mentioned it to who will now be including a visit to The Carriers Inn when visiting Delamere Forest.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamWe love this place. The French Onion is excellent as are the other items we’ve had. Staff are friendly and efficient and the ambiance is very relaxing
Cafe De Paris – NantwichExtensive menu with specials available. All cooked to order, calamari excellent. No problem omitting chilli from tomato sauce to go with meatballs and spaghetti
Pacino’s – ChesterExcellent evening, good food, and service
The Egerton Arms Broxton – ChesterI brought my mum here for an Afternoon tea for her birthday. I had emailed the day before to inform the staff that it was her birthday, to inform of dietary requirements as I needed to ask for one vegetarian option and requested for decaffeinated tea due to me being pregnant - plus my mum and I prefer decaffeinated tea. We arrived a little early but that wasn’t an issue at all and were politely greeted and seated. The service was outstanding for all the staff who served us and the food was delicious. We were given complimentary Prosecco both alcoholic and non alcoholic for me to be able to celebrate too. The chef also sent out a plate for my mum with Happy Birthday written in chocolate sauce with strawberries and chocolate brownies which was a lovely surprise. All in all the service was wonderful and FANTASTIC. It certainly was a pleasant experience and Afternoon tea. I will definitely be coming back and hopefully next time with my husband either before or after baby is born. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making my mum feel special on her birthday. And thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I would highly recommend you to anyone that asks where the best place is to have afternoon tea. Thank you
