Lilac at The Chestergate – MacclesfieldUsed to luve in lymm still a great restaurant service and food excellent. Lively atmosphere.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmWe had a beautiful afternoon tea with family, the food was lovely, surroundings beautiful. Sadly, absolutely not the hotels fault, a very large wedding filled most spaces inside and out with loud rowdy people drunk by 230 in the afternoon. It was virtually impossible to access the toilets safely. Not good for my granddaughters to witness. Would definately return but would check prior to ensure this didn't happen again
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordFood absolutely gorgeous. Service a little slower than we've known in past visits, although as we weren't in a hurry to go on anywhere else, it didn't matter on this occasion. Staff lovely and polite and attentive. Great atmosphere. Overall a tremendous evening.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyBeen here twice now, lovely pub very welcoming staff and super food !
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyVery pleased with our meal and the service at the restaurant. Amazing wine selection. We’ll return.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldHad lunch yesterday with friends, as always superb lunch and Mike and his team are outstanding.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldFabulous food, friendly relaxed atmosphere, great staff.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichOur small group of walkers regularly use this country pub after our morning walks. The food is good and the welcome is warm and the staff obliging. What more do you want!
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonOn arrival we were welcomed and felt extremely comfortable. Great service to settle in. Drinks order taken and very speedy. No waiting time. Food order taken, no fuss and lovely service from a very polite young man. The beef and ale pie was outstanding full of delicious cuts of beef. Perfect infact. The garlic chicken however just did not work. Clumpy rice from cooking process. Far too much sauce on the rice making it soaked. Sauce would work better in a jug. The chicken was a poor cut with fatty waste infact the bits I serve my pet at home. Just did not work as a dish. The green beans are cold on the side too. This dish definitely needs review n presentation. Lovely service all the way though.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichSunday 21st April 2024, Sunday lunch was delicious, the best we've had for a long time so we'll be back! Service was good too!
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyMy Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal, which was served by Sam.....who was exceptional!! Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordConsistently good food at fair prices. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Been going to Pacinos for many years and highly recommend.
Pacino’s – ChesterBooked for a light lunch on our journey, arrived early and was accommodated with no drama and enjoyed an excellent warm goats cheese salad served by friendly staff in a lovely environment Would highly recommend
The Egerton Arms Broxton – ChesterWe have been to this pub a few times for lunch - mid week and weekends. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is plenty of choice on the menu. Good value pub food.
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamReally nice afternoon tea and the staff were lovely.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordCame on Saturday evening for first time with visiting relatives. Plus points were the Masaman Curry for my wife and the flavour of the Jambalaya that the rest of us had. However, there were several minus points. The service was very bad, 10 minute wait to order drinks followed by another fifteen minute wait for them to arrive. The mussels in the Jambalaya were so tiny they were difficult to find in their shells and about one third of normal size. When we finished the mains we were given a plastic sign to use whe we were ready to order desserts which we thought an excellent idea. What transpired was that when we put it up it was completely ignored! After twenty minutes of trying to attract the attention of staff I had to shout to one of them and she said she would be back but then went to a nearby table to clear their plates instead and a few minutes later sent a colleague to us! We pointed out that the wine was defective as a large amount of sediment had gone into the last glass and there was a considerable amount in the bottom of the bottle as well. The Manager came as a result and gave a poor apology saying it was something to do with the season!, When we left we were completely ignored by our waitress and the Manager, not the way to treat paying customers and not worth another visit. The other restaurants in the Tarporley area are much better than this.
