Great food, but it was a Saturday night and the noise was intolerable - time to get an acoustic engineer in to advise a few changes.

Birchwood Spice – WarringtonBooked for a birthday treat for my wife, As we have found on previous visits we were welcomed warmly, the food was superb as usual and finished off with decadent fudge chocolate cake, in all a memorable evening for us, sadly it was a quiet night in the restaurant but we will certainly be be booking again.

The Egerton Arms Broxton – ChesterHad a fantastic meal this evening at The Cock, Henbury for myself, my wife & our 2 children. The Bacon, Brie & Cranbery Panini with chips was fresh, piping hot & incredibly tasty. The salad was perfectly chilled & fresh & the balsamic vinegar drizzled on top complemented the salad perfectly. My son loved his kids burger & chips so much he kept taking photos of it for his social media & he ate the lot! My daughter loved her Tuna Melt too & my wife who never finishes her food actually ate all of her burger & fries & really enjoyed it too. We all had the delicious Salted Caramel Cheesecake for dessert which again, ended with empty plates. My kids rated the whole evening 100/10 which is high praise indeed from the fussy little monkeys. The beer was also perfectly chilled & tasty. Apart from the food being of such a very high standard & good value, it’s really important to point out just how amazing all the staff here are. Attentive, friendly, no waiting for someone to come over & clear the plates or take orders. They were there just when you needed them & gave service with a big smile. Lovely people. We are so very lucky to have The Cock, Henbury so close to home & to have it reopen with great food, great drink & impeccable service from a very strong team. We will return again very soon, can’t wait!
The Cock – MacclesfieldCame with the girls for tea, and could not fault the service, very friendly staff and the food was great

Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonMy husband and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about Elmas. Fab food, lovely friendly staff and good value for money. Best Italian for miles!
Elmas Restaurant – LymmI organised a walk in Delamere Forest, based on the Carriers Inn. The welcome our walking group recieved when booking, the service we got on the day, and the quality of the food we all chose, was the best wehave had over many walks from other North West hostelries. Special thanks go to Joanne for ensuring we had such a great experience at the Carriers inn
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamAlways great at Elmas, great menu choice, always reliable
Elmas Restaurant – LymmLovely setting with a massive garden area next to the lake. 3 of us visited and all had the Sunday roast which was delicious - generous portion (especially gravy!) and the service was excellent.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamComfortable night’s sleep. Our room was near the kitchen so noisy extractors. Evening meal was well presented. One chicken dish and the other plaice. Chicken was succulent with a mushroom sauce. Plaice with samphire and brown shrimps tasty, but lacked carbs so ordered separately. Waiting staff very attentive and professional. Breakfast choices were varied, especially the ones to order, such as eggs Benedict. Over all, a good stopping place between Scotland and the South West.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe went to Lilac Cottage again and brought our friends with us we were not disappointed, the food, cocktails, and the ambience was just perfect. Every time we go we always have such a lovely time and also come away very happy with our bellies full. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and always tell our friends of this hidden gem of a tapas restaurant. Definitely a must to visit.
