We booked a table for 12 people for an 18th birthday and the service was amazing Food was delicious and all come out at the right time The staff are so friendly and welcoming Highly recommend elmas and we will be back again

A typical traditional country pub,full of character inside and serving excellent food. If you always order the same thing why not try something different, the menu has several suprise unique dishes.

Food was very delicious, we went for a lamb roast dinner and everything was cooked to perfection. Dessert was also delicious. We could have also benefited from a really reasonably priced 2 or 3 course offer but were full up! Staff were great, pleasant and cleaning up well after others, they were really attentive and made sure the place was clean and tidy.

Excellent afternoon tea for two with prosecco. I exchanged mine for a pint. No problem the waitress said. Food absolutely lovely. The afternoon tea consisted of :- Three small sandwiches each 2 slices of cake each 1 macaroon each 1 sultana scone,cream and jam each 1 alcoholic drink each 1 tea or coffee each Excellent value for money too.

On 16 August, my newly wed husband and I celebrated at Bacchus with 8 guests and we had an incredible time here. The food, service and hospitality were outstanding and the team here made it so memorable. Thank you to everyone for making our day so special!

This was a gift for our anniversary & it was lovely. We had the champagne cream tea, the sandwiches were lovely & fresh & the scones and cakes were delicious. The service was great but not too overbearing. The grounds are lovely, I would definitely say we’d return.

Excellent home cooked food and friendly service

We had a family meal and enjoyed it immensely. The steak and ale pie was the best I've ever had in a pub; light, flakey pastry on top of a proper pie with plenty of delicious meat inside. The apple pie likewise was delicious. They also had very good cask ale. And all reasonably priced. And a dog-friendly pub.

Absolutely superb, food was tasty and fresh, we had prawn salad and Greek skewers for starters, followed by ham, egg and chips, couldn’t fault it, can’t wait for our next visit, staff were lovely and helpful, full marks.

Meal was excellent we shared Tomahawk steaks and really enjoyed the food.

The food is always freshly prepared and cooked. The staff are always helpful and good even when the place is busy. The prices are good value for money. You will always have a good meal. Always check the specials board as they are always good.
