Hickory’s Smokehouse – Chesterl recently had the pleasure of taking some friends to lunch at Alfresco restaurant. We choose that one because it is so close to the cathedral.. When we arrived they were very busy but our wait was well worth it. We enjoyed Lasagna with a glass of wine and followed that with the most delicious desert. We found the price very competitive considering the quality and quantity of our meal. We were disappointed to hear they do not open for evening dinner because we would have just loved to have visited them again. We will know where to go the next time we visit your lovely city. Best Wishes Mrs Bradbury.
Alfresco – ChesterStopped off here to pick up a takeaway on a Wednesday night after the pub. Restaurant looked pretty busy, but the service was good and quick, offered a drink as we waited, I like these touches. Food was ready before I could finish my beer. Got it home and weren't disappointed. Nice large portions, looked great, tasted great and nice to see in wasn't covered in grease. We will definitely visit again, probably book a table in the restaurant.
Karai Lounge – ChesterI have visited the restaurant on a number of occasions. The atmosphere is excellent. I don't feel that the food is good value for money, it is overpriced and over-rated.
Piccolino – ChesterOur monthly dinner club visited last night, so glad we did. Lovely setting, nice staff. Ordered our food and starter arrived within 10 mins. Pigeon was little over cooked but lovely, pate was fab also the snails yum. Main courses arrived 15 mins after starters finished all piping hot and filling the plates. Portion size can certainly not be griped at unless you order the apple pie. After such homely starters and mains expected the same from pudding but not to be with the apple pie very small and thin portion lovely custard though and sticky toffee pudding oh yes. Would certainly revisit and recommend.Excellent value for money and smashing atmosphere. Lewis Reed Dinner Club
Bunbury Arms – ChesterBy day it's a cafe and by night a restaurant. However, the menu is so diverse and interesting whenever you go. My wife and myself have visited many times both in the day and at night and never cease to wonder 'How do they do it'? The choice and the quality of the food is excellent, the staff are very attentive but not 'in your face' all the time. The decor is great, especially if you are a child of the 60s, you can re-live your youth just looking at the wall posters. We were at the 'Blue Moon' with friends last night and will be there on many more occasions in the foreseeable future, we cannot recommend the place highly enough. Give it a go.
Blue Moon Cafe – ChesterHad my 50th birthday meal here last night, and none of us had ever been before; there were 20 of us and owners Philip and David now have 20 new devotees. The warmth and hospitality of all the staff were second to none, and the food was superb. Fantastic menu ... really I cannot praise them enough. Just go:-)
Blue Moon Cafe – ChesterI recently took my two friends from London to your restaurant and we had a lovely meal with great service and a very friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed the mussels and my friends both commented that your restaurant was far better priced for the quality to most restaurants in their areas of London. I will be arranging to bring my social group for a couple of your wine tasting evenings in the future. I have been to many of these evenings and thoroughly enjoyed learning about wines from different countries and grape varieties.
Moules A Go-Go – ChesterVisited the Bunbury Arms for the first time after a little shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks, ideal as it is only 2 minutes away. We only fancied a main coarse as we had a late breakfast it was no reflection on the superb choice on the menu. We are not local to the Bunbury Arms but have already arranged to revisit, I have my own restaurant in Liverpool so i can safely say the food we had was excellent i would recommend this place to everyone.
Bunbury Arms – ChesterWe went with our family for Sunday lunch yesterday all 10 of us, we had varied menu and all was fantastic , the older children went for the "Burgers" they took photos of their meal to show their friends when they returned to Mallorca what great food they had eaten in England. Such a lovely place to visit we will return, and now are telling our friends to visit the Bunbury.
Bunbury Arms – Chesterfrequent this pub regularly to eat and drink, real ale and extensive wine list ,very large portions which i never finish ,they have fresh fish and daily specials only drawback is trying to get a table ,best to book, lovely old fashion pub not like those awful sizzler etc chains ,would recommend it
Bunbury Arms – ChesterI would recommend La Fattoria, my husband & I have had some excellent meals, the staff work very hard to make sure everyone has a good experience and are very friendly we are going back again for my birthday this Saturday.
La Fattoria – Chesterthis was the first time we have ordered a takeaway from the Karai Lounge and were very impressed. Despite being a busy Saturday night, they delivered within the suggested 30 minute delivery time. The food was absolutely delicious with light and very fresh flavours, not at all heavy, greasy or overly pungent. Having spent time in India, the Karai Lounge food tasted very authentic and true to real Indian food. It was so good I phoned up to complement them! We will definitely use this restaurant from now on.
Karai Lounge – ChesterWe visited the bunbury arms for my birthday two weeks ago we've been before and always like the place as it is away from the usual hustle and bustle, we picked two meals of the specials board I had seafood paella and my husband had red snapper, both meals where absolutely delicious one was served with fresh vegetable and one with salad and both meals where piping hot. The prices where very reasonable for the two meals and a couple of drinks it came to £25.00. The service was excellent I would definitely recommend it to other people and would go back ourselves.
Bunbury Arms – Chesterk1 is minging
K1 – ChesterWhat a find, three of us ate there Sat. night 11th Dec'10, wonderful, tasty, imaginative. A lovely relaxing atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff, we'll certainly go back and will recommend Bistro Blu to all our friends.
Blue Moon Cafe – ChesterWas there on Nov 27th for my husbands 50th birthday, we came across the place by chance and how lucky were we, what a wonderful atmosphere, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble would definitely go there again and would recommend it to anyone
Blue Moon Cafe – Chesterl visited this restaurant one Saturday for lunch. What an unexpected surprise. The food was excellent, very fresh and reasonably priced. A very busy place but well worth the wait.
Alfresco – ChesterMidweek Menu: 2 courses for £15.
