Really nice food and really helpful and friendly staff.

We had a lovely meal on 12/10 for our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the hunters chicken was the best I have ever had.

Went for a family meal, the food is of a high standard and 4 of us had the pie offer which is amazing value for money with dessert included.such a shame it was not busier

Booked a wake for my Mum, staff were incredibly helpful and recommended appropriate menu options etc. Food was excellent and staff helped box up any leftovers.

This is a very under valued pub. While this had not been out first choice (others fully booked) we were not disappointed. The food was basic but well cooked while we waited and good value for money. The staff were friendly and quick to serve. Will visit again and recommend

We had a very enjoyable evening at The Cod. Service was great, food was outstanding. Would definitely go back again & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

What can I say, we booked a table of 20 to celebrate my husband’s 60th, I cannot fault it, food was perfect and all served at the same time , both starters and main. Staff were absolutely lovely making sure everything was as I had requested, everyone in our party said what a lovely evening, great food and very helpful staff. I would highly recommend, for a party or a quiet meal , thanks to all the staff for making it such a lovely evening for my husband s birthday

We never got to eat at The Codrington Arms as when we arrived they had a 60th birthday celebration and was told we would have to wait around 45-50 minutes for our food. As we had travelled all the way from Melksham, we were very disappointed. Our table was booked over a week ago so they had more than enough time to call or email us to change our booking

Booked a meal for my Mum's birthday. The food was great, everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back here again.

Lovely first visit to the pub, great food, lovely staff and nice atmosphere! Would love to visit again.

We have dined at the Codrington arms 3 times....and never been disappointed with absolutely anything...5 stars all day long

Had a lovely afternoon tea lovely food and 1 was gluten free the other 2 were normal and they were great. Lovely bone china cups and saucers. Girl that served us could not do enough to help us and kept checking we were ok and had enough tea and milk. It’s our second visit and will def be back Thanks

Very disappointing Sunday lunch. Board outside said carvery, no carvery inside! Veg was under cooked, the parsnips were so hard,they were inedible. Customer service was poor, once we spoke to the waitress about the issues, she disappeared with no attempt to resolve them. A disappointing expensive meal o my birthday.

Sadly, I did not enjoy my experience at The Cod. The table allocated to us was sticky and rickety. Our waitress was quick to help us find a suitable table though. My quests enjoyed their lunches (Pork Chop/Ham), however, my choice of the Quiche was disappointing. The Quiche was the thickness of a pizza and extremely overcooked and hard to cut...this should have been noticed before serving out It had no taste to it at all. I pointed this out to my waitress who offered a replacement. I chose to have some carved ham which was delicious. No apology offered however and no suggestion of a discount. Also a glass of wine was served out with sludge and sediment layering the bottom of the glass, apparently, this is usual in a glass of wine (it is usual in the bottom of the bottle but should not be served out into a glass. Pull your socks up Cod and you may increase your customer numbers.
