Congratulations, the yew tree is a fantastic pub whether for social or business. Paul the manager gives the place a real buzz. The bar staff are very friendly and the food was out of this world. Linda the head waitress is a real personality and makes the whole experience worthwhile.

The Yew Tree has had a good reputation for many years, however since the recent change of management it has improve from a good restaurant to a fantastic restaurant. I would highly recommend the Yew Tree anybody whether its for a business or pleasure.

I enjoyed a tasty lunch at this Lancashire gastropub in the hills of Chorley. The very thick chips were spot on!

We recently visited The Yew Tree and felt it deserves a comment on how the excellent standard of service and delicious food (especially the deserts!) were enjoyed in comfortable friendly surroundings. The presentation of all the meals was of an exceptional standard (especially the deserts!!) and all at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit (for those with a sweet tooth!!!)

A recent visit to The Yew Tree Inn proved to be most enjoyable. The location and charm of the building together with the warm & friendly staff put us at ease. The food was superb especially the chicken & fish dishes. Confidently recommended!!

The Yew Tree is now back to it's best, i've been visiting it for 20 years or so and i cannot remember it being so good. The steaks and fish dishes are excellent with superb table service. The current owners are extremely friendly and give everyone a very warm welcome. Trust me the Yew Tree is back!!

Excellent food using the best produce sourced specifically. The presentation and the quality of the food and the cooking skills were superb. I have been several times and the chef has demonstrated his ability to perfect, fish, steak, scallops and above all lamb. Surroundings and staff very very good. A good oaked Chablis or Ch?au Neuf De Pape White added to the wine list would increase the 10/10 to an 11/10.

We have been twice now - the first time (Saturday night) was wonderful, lovely food and great service. It was a lovely romantic dinner. There was a lovely big "fire" in the middle which looked lovely but it did make the restaurant very hot (sit in the conservatory if you suffer from over heating like me) We can recommend the sirloin steak with the tomato and garlic sauce on. The second time we went was early on a Tuesday evening and we were disappointed as the service was not as good, there were lots of people wearing casual clothes and the atmosphere just wasn't the same - probably due to time of year. Food was still excellent. Would definitely recommend on a Friday/Saturday evening late on (book first).

Stripped wood floors, charming staff, EXCELLENT food and really good value add up to an experience that has to be repeated. Chorley needs more restaurants this good!

This is the best Pub Fayre i have ever come across. All home cooked quality food in a friendly atmosphere. My wife asked for cheese and biscuits after her meal what she couldnt eat kept me in butties for work for two days! and they were more than happy to doggy bag.........my daughter assures me its the best ice cream shes ever had....sorry bonds and fredericks! Nice well priced wine & bubbly too!

Had a meal at blue elephant last weekend, we really enjoyed the food and the service was very good. The exotic duck starter for two priced at £9.95 was great value for money recommend it to you anytime. Can? wait till they re-open the main restaurant downstairs which they said they are spending half a million pound on the refurbishment. The theme not contemporary this time. We?e booked a party for twenty-five people at the new blue elephant at scarsbrick near omskirk.

Regularly eat here. Food is excellent particularly the fegatini as a starter. Portions are good. Small bar area. No need to book (usually) but may have to wait in the small but comfortable bar area until your table is ready.

I have dined at P&P (Chorley) regularly for the past twelve months and am very surprised that no one has commented about it on this Website. The food at this quaint Italian Restaurant is constantly at a high standard, with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes. The proprietors boast a large menu, specials which change monthly and a large fish board. They also have "happy hour" times, between 12-2pm and 5.30 - 6.30pm throughout the week!! The last meal I ate there was on 15/01/2005. I had Chicken Picante to start, a spicy starter of chicken and bacon in a spicy tomato sauce covered in cheese. My main course was Baby leg of lamb, sat on garlic mash potato covered in port wine jus, with an array of fresh vegetables. For dessert I enjoyed dime bar cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, just like the service; the restaurant is small but cosy and is soon to move location to larger premises. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and good times!!!

Went on Friday night about 7pm, there seemed to be a lot of screaming kids knocking around, maybe we went too early?! No complaints other than that.

I visited Truffles restaurant last week with my husband and family and have bored all my friends to death about how much we enjoyed it. The menu is fantastic, and there were traditional and more adventurous items on the menu so all of our party were happy? good selection of veggie stuff too. I had monkfish in tamarind, lime and coconut broth and it was delicious. All portions were very generous too-nouvelle cuisine without the stinginess! Also, a really nice touch was that the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to chat to all the customers and to ask if everything was alright, which made us feel really pampered. One more thing-try the assiette of desserts. Three different desserts on one plate. Heaven!

This place is of the highest quality, and second to none (except perhaps SAGARS of Blackrod, Bolton which is also outstanding). The food and service are excellent, with a wide choice of dishes. The south Indian murghi is a must!
