Sea View Inn – ChorleyGreat place, good food, unfortunately moved out to their other restaurant in Horwich, a very pleasant member of staff called Andy. He was so helpful and thoughtful, he helped to make the place. I do hope he comes back.
La Casa de Salsa – ChorleyPlace is great but unfortunately, we had to wash all our clothes after visiting. The problem is that the kitchen is open plan and all cooking smells permeate the restaurant.
Yew Tree Inn – ChorleyWent to this restaraunt last night ( Friday 31st August). the food was awesome, lovely soup and spag bol. My only complaint was that me and my wife were given a terrible table right next to a very loud group party. There were much nicer seats available but they plonked us down on a table that wasn't very romantic or private! Next time I go I will book a nice table! Food lovely though and the staff were polite (if not over friendly!)Ally
Papa Luigis – ChorleyExcellent service, with excellent food and a great menu. Best restaurant in Chorley.
Italian Cottage – ChorleyI frequently eat in the evenings at the Field Fare in Chorley with friends and we are never disappointed.
The Field Fare – ChorleyWe thought we'd try Papa's before we committed a large family gathering to a bit of a celebration (15 year and 40 year anniversary party) - all seemed ok although I though the prices were a little steep. Upon getting my main I explained that I'd never ever received a pizza that didnt have a tomato sauce base. To my surprise there response was "look at the menu - thats what you ordered". Now dont get me wrong, upon reading it I realised it didnt say "Tomato" but really, I've never (ever) seen a pizza without a sauce base. Nevertheless, I can accept the situation and would have gladly paid for another pizza to be made up (it was literally inedible unless you're a cow who needs a salt lick daily!)... They didnt even make a suggestion - they simply said "Well, thats what it says on the menu."After the meal, as I was paying up I explained that I accept it was my fault for not reading the menu correctly (although I repeat, I've never had a pizza without a sauce base), I was again confronted by "Did you show 'him' the menu" and "Well sir, thats what it says on the menu".Not once did anyone ask "What can we do to help", or "How can we help". I even had to wait 5 minutes with my hand constantly waiving, before anyone actually noticed me wanting assistance during the meal..Surely the point of any meal is to have great food served perfectly and with the right attitude. We'd considered papa's as I though their service would be second to none, but in reality it's a factory with uncaring maitre de and staff and all in all, whilst i'm sure the food (if its what you expect) is fine, in my case I was severely let down by a serious case of bad customer care.As i've mentioned, I accept that it was my fault and never once suggested that it was a fault of theirs (though in my own mind Im still adamant that pizza's always have a sauce base), but the lack of consideration and considerable indifference to my plight means I have to say "buyer beware". Normally a phrase reserved for used car salesmen but in this case, buyer.... "Be Bloody Well Aware". If you buy poorly expect terrible after sales care.Sorry, not what I expect of a relatively expensive restaurant.......
Papa Luigis – ChorleyMonday night pizza/pasta offer. Have to say- we were pleasantly surprised just how good it was .The place was 'ram jam full' .Goes to show that prices are important for a early evening 'spur of the moment meal'.A £fiver--is just about right - bearing in mind the place can make extra on the drinks. Seems to be the way to go these days .Hope they can repeat the offer on other nights too. We surely would be there -as I am sure many others would be there too..Thank you Pete
The Halfway House – ChorleyVisited La Casa last Sunday for a friends birthday and it was fab! The staff were very welcoming and good fun and the food was gorgeous. We will be visiting again soon! Hayley
La Casa de Salsa – Chorleyservice was very poor. Very young waiters who didn't know what the food was, didn't get the food order correct and didn't even get a drinks order correct. Service was very slow. When the food did arrive the quality was shocking also most of it was either under cooked or not even cooked in the case of the chicken kebab. You would actually find better food out of a bin. Another party complained about their food not being cooked and also bread was full of mold. We have been many times in the past and it was a lovely place to go, so not sure if it has changed hands during 2012. I think it needs to change hands again.
Seasons – ChorleyFantastic as always! gorgeous meal for me my fella and little girl. garlic bread with cheese is to die for!! (we had 1 garlic bread between us) We had a starter each (me and fella) and pizza for me n fella (little one had some of ours) 2 pints of larger and fruit shoot £38.50...service fantastic!
The Halfway House – ChorleyExcellent food, excellent service, you really can eat as much as you want, and it just keeps coming. Nothing too much trouble.Exceptional value for money
La Casa de Salsa – ChorleyWent for the Friday night steak special plus a free bottle of wine. Food was ok but the steaks tasted cheap and prefrozen, but i guess you get what you pay for. Sweets were lovely and ale was good. A bit better than your normal two for one grub but not exceptional. Ok for a cheap meal but not for a celebration. 7/10
The Lock & Quay – ChorleyThis is the best Indian in the Chorley area at the moment by far. We visit here on a regular basis. The food is exceptional and the service is friendly and welcoming. Chicken is perfect, not your average cheap chicken that a lot of curry houses serve. The Chicken madras is beautiful. Try this place, you won't be disappointed!
The Hyatt – ChorleyThis is your average two for one meal pub. Ideal if you are on a budget. However you get what you pay for and the food is average at best. It is typical prefrozen and cheap tasting.Avoid on a special occassion.
Hartwood The – ChorleyAlways great food and service must have been over 50 times in last few years and never disappointed
Bay Leaves – ChorleyExcellent choice of imaginative tasty dishes. Very good value. Pleasant service
La Casa de Salsa – ChorleyMy wife and I went to the Beaumont for the first time on a family member’s recommendation. The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. ‘Great customer service’. We will certainly be making another visit soon. Thank you and well done to all involved.
