I have been several time to Dantes and has been it and miss but lately is completely off the food is very poor (signs of the credit crunch corner cutting) and very expensive for what you get.

The Halfway House – Chorleyfood and service was bad and the staff don't have any direction??????? prices to expensive, wine list like 1980 nothing special
The Halfway House – Chorleydined on sun 23rd Aug, Food was fab, we would of had dessert and coffee but having been sat for 30 minutes no staff came to ask if we required anything else, we asked a passing waitress for coffee which never came, so we paid and left. Think we must have been unlucky with the staff, but would return.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyFab place, fab food!!!
The Black Horse – ChorleyEat at New Season for the first time on thursday night. Odered Paella that was to die for best I have ever had. Good choice of wine and cocktails although follwoing a heavy night on wednesday did not sample this time. Service was first class especially Peter who appeared to be the restaurant manager constantly checking all our needs were met and the singer is fantastic. Not the cheapest place round but well worth it Would definitely return
Seasons – ChorleyI discovered Truffles purely by accident several years ago & although it is some thirty miles from my home it has become my favourite restaurant since that first visit. Truffles is a restaurant where I am able to take my family & friends with confidence that my guests will enjoy a meal of very high standard, in an ambiance that is only found in a few restaurants today & where the service provided is truly excellent. Dining or lunching at Truffles is an eating experience not to be missed & I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant whether it is for a meal from the standard menu or for a meal from any of the almost monthly gourmet menus covering cuisine from countries in Europe & Aisia.
Truffles – ChorleyBooked for 730 but we were late, still managed to fit us in even though it was busy! Food was brilliant, had all sorts of world foods, I had this steak thing in spicy sauce which was amazing and Live music on,his name was cris- Great Singer very soulful as said below! Booked again for my brothers birthday
Seasons – ChorleyWent to New Seasons restaurant with very good friends on Saturday 25th July for a Birthday celebration. The staff were friendly and attentive, couldn't have asked for better service, even though we turned up early. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters of a few tapas. Three of our party had the Surf and Turf from the specials and by the mmmmmmmmmm noises they were enjoying their choices. I however drew the short straw, I also had a choice off the specials but my salmon was overcooked and the quenilles of mash were luke warm. A big disappointment for me. Don't think I will be quick to return.
Seasons – ChorleyI have to agree with Chris Blundell who wrote about the Southport/Ormskirk Blue Elephant. He was lucky to only wait 20 minutes for his meal though. Try 1 hour! I didn't want to complain about this place as I have been before (a good while ago though) and it was great, but it seems to have changed staff and it is now awful with its service. Food is very good but you won't want it after such a huge wait. There was no explanation or apology until AFTER we had complained. They decided they'd take the drinks off the bill (1 beer and a few tonic waters) which is an insult. We kept complaining until they took off the price of three meals which we had hardly touched due to not feeling hungry anymore. The manager was then terse and unfriendly when we left. I expect more when I'm paying good money to a restaurant. Sadly disappointing. Warren Buffet was right - It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.
The Elephant – ChorleyWe called in on speck recently and received a very warm welcome. The food and drinks were excellent and fantastic value for money. There was a hidden gem of an outdoor bar-b-que area at the rear of the pub.Well done and keep up the good work!!
The Golden Lion Hotel – Chorleywe have been to truffles twice and both times the food was excellent. this restaurant doesn't seem that well known, i can't think why, as the food and venue is great.
Truffles – ChorleyJust returned from P & P and the food was to die for ! portion sizes more than generous, service excellent, no complaints
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyWent there last night and a a lovely meal, although it was unusually busy for midweek owing to the plethora of Teachers dining there after the end of term break up! Despite waiting 10- 15 mins our table staff were polite, warm and courteous and i could not fault the food TIP- Try the Sardinian Pasta
Alghero – ChorleySuperb restaurant, cannot recommend it highly enough! Menu choice is fantastic as are the specials. Brilliant for a celebration with a large group or with a partner. Would advise to book Fri/Sat as does get very very busy.
Alghero – Chorleygood food but I didn't like the place felt like I was in a gold fish bowl
Alghero – ChorleyCan't go round with Alghero's. Great food and lovely atmosphere.
Alghero – ChorleyDined at the Railway today (Sunday 4th July) with my husband and what a delightful surprise! We were just passing after a day out and looking for somewhere to eat. We were so pleased we stopped,it has restored our faith in "pub" dining. The food was excellent and staff charming. I just wish it was at the bottom of my road!
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyI was surprised to see that there are not more reviews for Amelie's on this site! That said, Amelie's is one of Lancashires best kept secrets! We again enjoyed a fantabulous meal which was a special thank-you treat from relatives. They couldn't have picked a better venue and the whole experience from arrival to departure was one of being made to feel special, if not a little pampered. The staff are highly attentive and friendly, without being over familiar. The food? Well, put simply it is to die for; presenting a worthy and competitive challenge to the menus, ingredient quality and presentation of every other renowned restaurant in this area of Lancashire and beyond.
