Attended as a group of 4 for Sunday lunch. The food is always incredible at The Drop, cannot fault it and I’ll always keep coming back for it. However, it’s unfortunate that the service is lacking. Though staff are polite when you do speak to them, they make very little effort to check on your table to see if things are okay, we waited a long time to place our order, then even longer for plates to be taken away that we were going to order dessert but decided not to by the time they came to us due to lack of time.

Having seen the owners of this restaurant on TV we booked a table when visiting our son locally. It is a Gem of a restaurant, service and food we're 10 out 10. The food is really authentic not your run of the mill curry house. We will be returning in the future, thank you for a lovely meal and service.

Good vibe and food but service not as expected. It was my first time visiting here and I really liked the vibe of the restaurant, music and decor. The rum punch cocktail was really nice and good value, the jerk chicken was delicious and the chicken and dumpling stew was nice too, as were the rice and peas and sweet potatoes wedges. I was offered water for my dog but it never arrived, asked for tap water and it didn’t come so had to ask again and they also forgot our gravy for our wedges so we had to ask. I think as we were sat outside it’s easy to forget about people and not able to grab attention of the staff as easily. The staff were really friendly however, just would have been better if they were a bit more attentive.

Came here on Friday 3rd of march. Absolutely lovely food, great service and a brilliant atmosphere. Will definitely come again!

Been twice and the food is great. We went (group of 4) following a recommendation from a friend who had travelled widely in South Asia and he said it is the best curry he has had in UK.

Wonderful food with plenty choice for gluten free, vegan and veggie. Very helpful and friendly service. We’ve been quite a few times and tend to have dosa. Wasn’t keen on the service charge being automatically added though as. Tipping is discretionary in my opinion. Happy to leave a tip buy at my own choice. More on the expensive side but you will not fault the quality of the food.

Ammas was the first Indian Street food restaurant in Chorlton and is still the best. Lovely food and excellent service. Highly recommended

Love the vibe, tasty food, they are a little understaffed so the drinks can take a while to come but the staff are friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend if you want a nice and chilled dining experience

The food and service were excellent, no complaints at all. I was quite surprised at how much the bill was though and I noticed that there was a compulsory 10% service charge which I was happy to pay but I really hope this is shared between the waiting staff as they did an excellent job. Food is not cheap and then when an extra 10% is added then obviously its even dearer.

Extremely tasty food, we had three courses and all were top notch. Nice atmosphere too with friendly staff who assisted us in our choice of dishes.

We had a lovely meal at Ammas. The food was fantastic and the service was good. The chilli chicken and the okra were stunning. Looking forward to going back soon!
