I loved this restaurant till i found a rat in the kitchen
Lusitano – ChorltonHIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This has to be THE best Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine in South Manchester. The vegetarian dishes in particular are deliciously inventive (my favourite is Village Style Vegetable - although I suggest you ask for 'medium' as the 'hot' does tend to detract from the taste!). The staff are extremely helpful and courteous and very willing to adapt dishes to suit individual tastes. Once tasted you won't want curry from anywhere else!
Coriander – ChorltonBooked a table for six (because they don't do bookings for less than six people, so if you want an intimate dinner for two, always have random strangers to hand to make up the numbers) for last Thursday 2nd July 2009, got there, they denied all knowledge of the booking, waited half an hour before anyone came to take the drinks order... and waited another hour before our salad main course turned up, starters were completely forgotten, and so should you if you're thinking of going there, BoHo Chorlton... more like BooHoo Croma.
Croma – ChorltonHaving done a lot research on Middle Eastern Restaurants in and around Manchester and trying them; this is one we will certainly be going back to time and time again. There is a smaller menu than some similar places, but the food was absolutely superb. All 4 of us had something different, and we couldn't fault anything. Some of the starters I had not seen before, and they were mouth watering. Go try this place, it's rustic and homely and doesn't cost a fortune.
Persia Grill House – ChorltonFood was very tasty but so overpriced if you consider you get more in the take-away for a quarter of the price.Restaurant itself looked lovely liked the decor.
Turkish Delight – ChorltonI have been meaning to recommend this restaurant for some time now. What a fantastic menu and high quality of food. Further, the waiters and chefs are only too happy to make bespoke dishes to suit all taste so if its not on the menu don't be afraid to ask! Some personal recommendations include the Chom Chom, the Balti tikka masale, the Nagpuri, the Granny Style Madras and the paneer rockets to name just a few. Even better, not only is the service friendly and food fantastic, after your meal you are greeted with orange slices, after eights, a Baileys and and After Eight! I've been to all the recommended Indian restaurants in Manchester (Gurkha Grill, Shimla Pinks, Akbars, EastzEast, etc) and I have to say this place stands head and shoulders above the rest - worth a visit!
Asian Fusion – ChorltonI have visited this restaurant on several occasions and each time I've been there it's been truly superb. The environment is really relaxing, the staff are so helpful and polite and the food is gorgeous. They have redone their prices recently and the prices are also great. Really cheap, but this is definitely not reflected in their food quality. They have maintained their quality, whilst helping cutting the prices. This is a local Chorlton restaurant that is as good as the city centre Italian restaurants if not better. Give it a go and see how right I am.
Due Fratelli – ChorltonI am a regular here and have always found food/service/price excellent so went for mum's 60th last night. The staff could not have been more attentive. They had balloons on the table, the food was fantastic as always and they sang happy birthday. A nice touch was that they gave my mum a present-a beautifully wrapped scarf. I would go as far as to say this is the best restaurant in Manchester.
Yakisoba – ChorltonFriendly staff and superb food. I have eaten in the restaurant and also had a takeaway meal and highly recommend this restaurant. This in my opinion is a better choice than some Rusholme restaurants. I highly recommend the Special Biryani or Garlic Chicken Chilli Masala.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonGrandmother's beef says it all, food prepared with love and care without any junk. Don't be influenced with the dross somes places give away to attract customers, Corriander makes honest and very tasty food that I compare all others to - they normally fail.
Coriander – Chorltonthis is our favourite restaurant ever and believe me we have eaten in a lot of places. The food is brilliant every time and so is the service.........i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Persia Grill House – ChorltonTERRIBLE! The venue has changed and not for the better, trying oh so hard to look laid back however embarrassingly gets its so wrong by its pretentious were to cool for school attitude. was chucked a lunch menu and it was 5pm on a Sunday afternoon, when asked if that was all was on the menu was told yes by the damn right snotty waitress, I then asked for a large beer and was given a bottle of ALDI beer (cost £3.50in lead station for one in ALDI you get 6 for that) decided on what was described as a sirloin steak sandwich for £6.70 without fries, then looked across the room at two female companions who were delighted with their Sunday Lunch which did look nice tbf. When my partner enquired about why did we not get informed, she said that she was sorry but they had already made the "steak sandwich" which then arrived looking as pitiful as smart piece bacon rasher on two cardboard style dry bread. Anyway dreadful service dreadful place - ripped seating - was good in the 90s well past its sell by - Its over! awful experience ... DONT GO......
Lead Station – ChorltonWe went to this restaurant on the 20/12/08 and as always it was excellent!. We have eaten here about 4 times and each meal has been different and faultless. This really is one of the best (If not the best) Italian's in Manchester. I would fully recommend that you try this one if you like Italian.
Due Fratelli – ChorltonWe visited the restaurant with Persia friends , who thought the food was excellent , matching Tehran restaurants ,the menu was complete and the pricing was very good , we would recommend this restaurant to any one , the service was good and friendly but watch the bill as we were charged the corkage charge when we had not taken any drinks to the restaurant , but enjoyed their jugs of Dooh , our fault we should have checked the bill
Persia Grill House – ChorltonBit disappointed! Took mum and my two children who have very healthy appetites. Portions rather on the small side, great if your on a diet! Other than that; food tasted great.
Croma – Chorltona pleasingly clean and fresh place to eat, good healthy portions and sharable starters. house red was liked by all our group as others have said the upper floor location does raise the class of the place as so many of chorlton's eateries are shop front style with little real privacy as too the criticism of paper napkins - why not? we visited at 7.00pm on a Thursday and found it to be very pleasant and quiet but a booking is a must for busy periods
Lusitano – Chorltonafter several visits to croma, all of which were great fun and very reasonable, we have found that certain standards are slipping. in an area where there is so much choice and variation on every level, restaurants need to stay attentive to detail or custom slips away our last visit was a niece's 10th birthday and the children's ice cream dessert was obviously straight from a supermarket value pack, including the plastic tub other peoples dessert had clearly been frozen and defrosted more than once as a result of this, we have tried other places and cannot see ourselves revisiting croma for a long time a great pity because the decor, service and food have been very good in the past
Croma – Chorltongreat place which has changed over the last ten years to offer a wider range than it used to very good food and reasonable prices we have been several times and always enjoyed it. it's best to walk as beech rd parking is pretty bad at busy times
