Yakisoba – ChorltonJust returned from our first visit - definitely won't be our last!!!! Fantastic food/great value/lovely staff/good atmosphere/children welcome. If you haven't tried a trip here then you don't know what you're missing!!!
Persia Grill House – Chorltonanything but a Turkish delight, cheap poorly prepared food at top prices. after trying a selection of dishes , they all where very bland and tasteless. and the lamb shish undercooked. very poor indeed and ive tried most restaurants and take aways in Manchester. at least they serve you with a big smile before they over charge you. keep up the poor work or go back to turkey for some cooking lessons.
Turkish Delight – ChorltonWe visited after looking at the recommendations on this site with people who we wanted to create a good imrpression with. Our experience was not representative of the other reviews. Prehaps our expectation were too high. We visited on a Saturday evening, The downstairs was full and we were shown to our table upstairs. I can only assume that downstairs was reserved for the regular mainly Irainan cliental and eveyone else was seated upstairs. We waited forty minutes to have our order taken and we had to ask twice. Then we waited a further twenty minutes before we recieved our starters then we recieved our main course at 10.45 pm . We sat down at 9.oo pm. We were totally ignored as well as the other customers upstairs, In fact the table opposite walked out. When the food arrived it all looked the same even though we had ordered different things. Even so that the waitress couldnt tell the dishes apart when asked. We were so disappointed and embarassed in front of our guest. The only good point was the price. I'm sorry but those recommedations must be fixed.I am not one to complain but we were made to feel like second class customers upstairs.
Persia Grill House – ChorltonHave, or rather had, been going to the Lead Station for many years. The menu was never fancy but that wasn't the point - it did simple food well, and consistently so. With so may overrated eateries in Manchester it was one place you could always rely on. Its now changed hands and I'm afraid the food has gone downhill. The menu hasn't changed much (although there were no specials which used to feature) but the old favourites and new additions are on a theme - they don't taste of a single thing. The atmosphere is still O.K. although it seemed quieter than in days gone by. Coincidence? Not if he food is anything to go by. A great shame.
Lead Station – ChorltonThis old time classic has changed ownership. Trying so hard it is almost embarrassing. A try hard front of house, new menu and slight revamp, its is tedious. Staff look confused and don't go if you are in a rush or hungry
Lead Station – ChorltonWow! Fuel has been a fantastic discovery for me! The food is fantastic with a large choice and very reasonably priced. The veggie breakfast is gorgeous! The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the cafe is cool and laid back with art work on the wall and posters of various musical events being hosted at fuel. An all round great veggie haunt!
Fuel Cafe Bar – ChorltonCharming and helpful service supported good value and very tasty food. How nice to have some different flavours and textures. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy without being crowded for a quite small restaurant. We shall return to work our way through the menu over the winter months.
Persia Grill House – ChorltonUnbelievably rude service from the French waiter. Everything else was fine though. It's quite staggering that people get away with this when diners are paying about £40 a head. It completely spoiled my friends birthday celebration!
Croma – ChorltonCoriander was recommended to my girlfriend and myself by several friends which made our experience all the more disappointing! There was always the possibility that their take out cuisine would be lacking slightly in comparison to the sit down menu however that does not offer adequate justification for the sub-standard, bland, greasy dishes that were served up. My girlfriend had a vegetable Rogan Josh and I opted for a chicken Karahi with pilau rice. We were both in agreement that this ranked amongst the worst Indian take-out food we had ever experienced. My advice - stay away!!
Coriander – ChorltonThe staff were lovely although they had to be reminded of the water and wine we ordered. We went for the full three courses and the food was by and large exceptional. My companion and I had the fish specials for our main course and both were excellent. The cheese board was a disappointment, it looked like it came from Somerfield down the road!
Lusitano – ChorltonWe think the food is fantastic, been there loads of times. When discussing restaurants with friends we rave about the place. Even my dad is going to try it out this weekend so wait to see his review if you are really fussy.
Yakisoba – ChorltonRecently went here with a group of friends and was really pleased to discover such a lovely Thai in Chorlton. The food was fresh aromatic and delicious and I particularly enjoyed the mixed starter for two (Could have eaten it all over again). Will definitely return as soon as I get a chance!
Thai Spice – ChorltonBest kebab I've ever had!
Turkish Delight – ChorltonDecide to try out this restaurant with their lunch deal - 3 courses for £8.95. Service was friendly and quite efficient but we found the food rather mediocre. The caprese salad was swimming in oil and the mozerella was rubbery and tasteless. Pizzas were disappointingly average and over-seasoned, and the profiteroles for dessert were unpleasant hsving a "cheesy" taste. To top it all, the piped music was awful. Sorry Mezzaluna but we won't be returning - there are too many better restaurants in Chorlton.
Lusitano – ChorltonThis is a delightful restaurant. The food is excellent - fresh and tasty, and the service friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it as somewhere different and original.
Persia Grill House – ChorltonCurry mile, hang your head in shame. Asian Fusion has every one of you beat hands down. Fabulous food (no puddles of ghee on top of your curry here) & friendly service. The best curry place I've ever been to. If you own a car and live in Manchester there's really no reason to go anywhere else.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonWe went to Persia Grill House for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it, the ambience was lovely with authentic pictures and decorations. The food was of high quality. Nice touches like persian tea, you can take your own wine too. Service very good and friendly, will definitely be going back to try a different dish.
