Brilliant family run restaurant, serving amazing quality authentic indian food!
Mumbai Tiffin Room – ChorltonLoved it - tasty, hearty food, great value
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonThe vegan Sunday dinner is super delicious absolutely love the Carribbean flavours and so happy you have transferred them onto the plant only meal. Will definitely be coming back and would very highly recommend. My partner had the meat version and we barely managed to converse through the lip smacking sounds of appreciation. Thanks again was an absolute delight.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonDining out here is a must for everyone ! The food was all delicious and different to anything we’ve had before. The owners are very friendly and informative and should be proud of their wonderful restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amma’s Canteen – ChorltonThe food is some of the best in the area and never disappoints. Add to it some great songs and helpful staff and it’s an amazing place to go out and eat
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonThe perfect place to visit on a sunny afternoon! The place has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and great decor! It looks like it catches the sun all afternoon - the placed was bathed with light when we went in at 5pm. The place was full but not rammed and the service was really friendly and efficient! It looked like it was a really fun place to work to be honest! Then comes the best bit! The food!! First off, portions are big - which isn't essential but was really appreciated, everything about this place says generosity! I had the roast option which is basically a Jamaican take on a Sunday Roast I suppose and if you're one for sweet roast veg with light fresh rice and spicy succulent soft BBQed meats with that zingy coating with absolutely filthy (in a good way) proper Mac n cheese... well this is the place. Honestly this is such an absolute win for Chorlton! Personally, i'm sick of everyone selling pizza here - Let's be honest, it's not a style or taste thing, it's a profit margin thing. I get it that hospitality's struggling at the moment but the Drop proves to everyone else that a genorous exciting dining experience for around £15 - £25 a head is still possible! An absolute gem.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonI had high hopes for this places, as I was recommended. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed, I couldn’t believe 3 small pieces of jerk chicken cost £14.50. If you wanted extra rice, that was £3 and extra gravy was £2 but this came in a small dipping pot. The food was very mediocre and lacked flavour if I’m being honest. In terms of value for money, I would say it’s expensive for what you are getting. My friend order the chicken stew & dumpling, but there were no dumplings with her stew. When we asked about it the waiter didn’t seem to have a clue as to what was going on, moments later. I believe the chef or owner brought out a small dish which contained more carrots and potatoes, advised this is the ‘dumplings’. The cocktails were also very disappointing, there were no flavour and all I could taste was the alcohol. Both myself and my friend were unable to drink this. Although the staff were friendly, they weren’t vigilant In terms of checking on tables or making sure you had cutlery to use prior to you food arriving. I got a very much ‘whatever’ vibe from them. There’s a lot of improvement that needs to be made and unfortunately I won’t be returning.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonFirstly I tried to book over the phone and this was unsuccessful, could not quite tell you what the issue was but the lady I spoke to hung the phone on me. Which I found very rude and very poor customer service. Due my friend wanting to attend here, I decided to book on line. But if was my doing I would have chosen somewhere else. My portion size was also small and I was definitely not please with brown stew chicken, pieces of chicken.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonThanks for a delicious meal. Amazing South Indian food and lovely atmosphere. Will recommend and will be back.
Amma’s Canteen – ChorltonSuch amazing food! Me and my partner came the other day and loved it. Best indian I've had in Manchester in recent years. And family run too!
Mumbai Tiffin Room – ChorltonThe food was delicious and the portions were just right. The atmosphere was lively and inviting. The service from the host Nia was absolutely great, we had enough time to order and we were alerted to an offer that would save us money on our meal. The quality and quantity of food you get makes this place a good choice for food.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonGreat food and a lovely host all at very reasonable prices. We'll be back for sure.
Mumbai Tiffin Room – ChorltonI came here for Mother's Day with my family, including my two year old niece. The staff were very accommodating of her and the food was excellent - gobi manchurian and the fish curry were particular highlights. I will return!
Mumbai Tiffin Room – ChorltonLovely food, really different choices. We loved sharing the street food options, but you can have main meals as well. Staff always helpful and friendly.
Amma’s Canteen – ChorltonFood was fantastic and great value for money. Unfortunately they were mega busy (Mother's Day) and service was slow and poor I think due to staff shortages. Despite having booked a table, there wasn't one reserved and we had to take a table in one of the "outside" tables which wasn't great for my elderly mother who was cold and uncomfortable. We did ask for an inside table but were refused. I would visit again, but maybe when it's quieter.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonMy favourite place in Manchester for Caribbean food. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonWe visited this for place for the first time and found an amazing range of innovative and tasty dishes for vegans, all reasonably priced and the service was very friendly. Ideal for Indian tapas but also lots of great main dishes. The only down side we felt, was that the restaurant felt quite cold and could have done with a bit extra heating. Great family run business. Well worth supporting in person or by getting a delivery!
Mumbai Tiffin Room – ChorltonLovely food spoilt for choice, as a person who can't eat wheat, there was, a huge selection I could choose from on the menu. I would highly recommend it. I have already told several friends, and family to try it out. Its somewhere I will definitely go back to.
