3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWe three had an excellent Sunday lunch yesterday. The staff were friendly, the service excellent and the roast beef carvery tasty and enjoyable. There was a wide range of drinks available and the seating was comfortable. We hope to return in the near future.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeWe went on Saturday night, 6 of us. One of which was daft enough not to have the steak. Nothing wrong with the non steak options, but the steaks are award winning. Love this place for a special night out.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeSunday lunch/dinner on this was very enjoyable with plenty of choice and superb quality. Red Pump Inn is a lovely countryside establishment and therefore a pleasure to visit in all 4 seasons.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeAs always excellent food and service. A little gem in the midst of beautiful countryside.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeSuperb , staff very attentive , food spectacular . All had steak which was outstanding . Will be coming back
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeAnother very enjoyable meal here. My gammon was a very good traditional gammon steak well cooked. My wife's goujons were also very good but the portion was a bit small. Puddings were of a high quality and a little out of the ordinary. Unfortunately they had an electrical problem which put a time constraint on the meal
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeOnce again, excellent food the staff and service were also excellent. We have stayed and eaten at the 3 Millstones several times over the years and the standard as never dropped. Looking forward to our next visit.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWe arrived early for our booking and the staff were very accommodating. Sunday lunch was 10/10. The young waitresses were all very professional - shame it is not our local....... We are an hour away.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeReally great meal Had the Sunday lunch (lamb) with a starter and dessert. Well priced and excellent service. Absolutely recommend it (already have)
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeFood great as always, staff lovely and attentive, service wonderful
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeWe had a lovely lunch at The Red Pump Inn, yesterday. The rib eye steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, just as we’d ordered. We also had pudding which was equally delicious, followed by good coffee. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and service good. I hope they light the fire in the dining room as the colder weather arrives, which will also add to the ambiance of the restaurant. SB
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeThis is a lovely pub with log fires, cosy nooks and delicious food. I don't drink beer but the gent at the next table told me they have a great selection! Very friendly staff too. We stayed in the old Post Office which was beautifully decorated and huge compared to most places. Downham is a really pretty village at the foot of Pendle Hill, famous for its witches and magic. We will be back to climb the hill. Just not at night!
Assheton Arms – ClitheroeBooked the table online, on arrival very impressed with smartness of staff and decor, first course really nice, second course came, had to send vegetables back, they were cold, my York shire pudding was burnt, surely the chef, or who was assisting him should have noticed the state of the food on my plate, or even the waitress when bringing the food to the table.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeUnfortunately due to the wet weather we never saw the views around the pub. Both of us had a delicious beef roast, very enjoyable. Staff were superb and very attentive. Only 2 cask bitters on,slightly disappointed . All in all,the interior of the pub was lovely.Highly recommended.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeGreat food and great service as always
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeGreat food and great service as always
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeI chose to eat here for our 20th wedding anniversary as previously we have really enjoyed our meal. On this occasion my cheese and onion pie tasted odd as the pastry had a sweet taste, I brought this to the attention of a member of staff and she raised it with kitchen who said it was the same as normal. The chips were also frozen. I was offered a coffee or dessert but I did not want one just a redress to my complaint. At £14 I feel it was expensive as I couldn't eat it all.
