Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonThis an amazing pub, we had never been before but certainly will be coming again. The food was very good, the unicorn bitter was spot on. The desserts where fantastic. Staff was lovely. Thank you to all.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonNine of us plus 3 dogs were in the snug room by the front door, it was perfect as we didnt have to keep the dogs under the tables to stop them bothering other visitors. Food was excellent as was the service from very well trained friendly, helpful staff. We love it there
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonExcellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended we had a Sunday lunch and the chef adapted a meal for us, nothing to much trouble.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonWe stayed two nights in a room at the Egerton Arms and had our meals there both evenings. There was a sufficient choice of dishes for us. We didn't have to wait long before or after ordering the food. It was all tasty and the portions were generous to the extent that after starters and mains we skipped desserts. The selection of wines on offer was reasonable. Service to table was very good. On average for the two nights we paid £75 per night for aperitifs, two course meal and wine. Very good value for money.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonFood was excellent 25 had Sunday lunch all food was hot and good quality.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonWe celebrated my son’s 16th birthday with his Grandparents yesterday at lunchtime. The menu always has a great selection of different meals, 2 of us had Sunday roasts, birthday boy had his favourite Margarita pizza and my Mum cleared every single bit of her plaice with shrimp butter sauce - she has a very small appetite, so it says a lot about the dish that she left absolutely nothing on the plate! The Egerton is our 1st choice for any family occasion- they deliver every single time!
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonChoosing to meet up with friends at the Edgerton Arms was a real winner. We all enjoyed the food which was ample and tasty and well presented. Good service. The only negative was that the actual spot we were in felt a little cramped, in the bar. We will be back!
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonWe booked the Egerton Arms for the wake, after our father’s funeral. Ian was very helpful & attentive from the outset. We opted for a cold buffet option in the private dining room. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. It was very fresh & excellent quality. Plenty of food to go around. The tea & coffee was regularly topped up. Staff were discreet tidying up around us & service at the bar was speedy. This was our 1st choice for the wake as our Dad liked traditional pubs & it exceeded our expectations. Thank you Ian.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonWe had a wonderful meal at the Egerton Arms in Astbury. There was almost 50 of us from 12 to over 80 years of age. We had arranged with Ian beforehand that we would descend on them and had sorted out a do-able menu. Everyone enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the staff were really brilliant. I know from personal experience that providing a hot meal for a large number of people is not easy, but it was managed with ease. Thank you.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonMy friend and I had a lovely lunch at the Egerton Arms last week. Excellent welcome and service. A friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The only criticism is that the menu is a little limited, especially if you don’t like Italian food.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonNice table, good service and excellent beer. We went at lunchtime and really just wanted a sandwich. Unfortunately the choice was very poor so we won’t venture again for lunch
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonA nice pub in a lovely location. We had Sunday Dinner and Starters which was all lovely. The atmosphere was a little flat and room we were sat in was very dark, we had asked for the lights to be turned on 3 times before they were. The service is what truly let down our visit, waiting a long time to be seen, waiters / waitress' not communicating with each other and seemed to have no idea what they were doing and all completing the same task at the same time, we expected slightly better service for a very quiet Sunday afternoon, aside from the 2 of us there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonBeautifully cooked fresh and tasty food. Compliments to the chef and to everyone else involved. Lovely place. Great ambience. Service was first class, friendly and professional. Really enjoyed the evening and will definitely recommend
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonAn excellent traditional country pub with good food, good beer and friendly staff. It was really nice sitting outside eating a light lunch in the sunshine.
