Amazing food and friendly service, proper pub atmosphere.
The Pint and Post – LauncestonVisited yesterday. New owners and food was really good. Customer service excellent and pleasant owners and convivial atmosphere.
The Pint and Post – LauncestonAll I can really say is that, this is the best place for fish and chips and my kids love it. They are very friendly and try to get the orders out as soon as they can as they are always busy. Love love Codfather fish and chip shop :) :)
The Codfather – Launcestonhavent been here for years as last few times the food hasnt been brilliant and everything had feta with it. Went as recommended by friend and had checked the vegetarian options online. Had the starter which should have been ciabatta but appeared under the mass of salty vegetables - to be just soggy but slightly toasted bread. Main was Moroccan Wild Mushrooms with Wild Rice - just about the most unattractive meal you could have placed in front of you! looked like something a child would have created, no flavour, tasted like overload of Green Oxo - and left most of it. when asked if I enjoyed my meal, said wasnt good as could be seen, but nothing more said - one member of staff helpful, rest were smiling but didnt have a clue - sorry Springer, wont be joining you again - as a good cook myself, it is clear they havent got a talented cook in situ - on a slightly positive note, my partner enjoyed the fish dish
The Springer Spaniel – LauncestonThe Arscott Arms is a lovely picturesque pub, nice and cosy with a public bar with pool table dart board etc. Lounge/restaurant offers lovely food; a bit on the pricey side but you get loads for your money and it is excellently cooked and presented. Will be going again very soon.
Arscott Arms – LauncestonI have visited this lovely restaurant many times now and each time it is just fab. Very personal service, very nice grown up place which is intimate as it is small but has a lovely atmosphere too. Good to visit for a special occasion or just to spoil yourself, though it isn't expensive for the quality - the food is freshly prepared and of excellent quality. I am always made to feel welcome and they will adjust the menu or offer other items if there is dietary or nothing on the menu that appeals. (for example)
La Bouche Creole – LauncestonLauncestons holds a Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers. It is one of only a handful of shops around the country to have this award. You can be confident of the quality of the product and the service at this shop
Launceston Fryers Fish and Pizza Bar – LauncestonA fantastic atmosphere and great food. The landlord and landlady are lovely. A recommended pub to visit.
The Westgate Inn – LauncestonPossibly the best Indian food I've ever tasted! Always a good treat!
Sagor Tandoori Restaurant – LauncestonVery friendly inn, landlords Steve & Chris made you feel very welcome. Home cooked food was excellent and very reasonably priced, with friendly service. Will definitely go back.
Devil’s Stone Inn – LauncestonVery pleased to have experienced such a memorable meal at Sagor. The food was exquisite and the staff were very friendly. I had visited Sagor during my holidays in Launceston, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that offers both traditional & contemporary indian food.
Sagor Tandoori Restaurant – LauncestonExecllent food, the host was always willing to talk and very friendly. I reccommend this place to anyone wanting a easy night out.
Harveys Bar – LauncestonFriendly atmosphere. Food is always good, with generous portions.
