The White Hart – PenzanceGreat old country pub, first time visited in a while. Good menu. The fish and New potatoes were delicious but veg was just a little over cooked. Staff very friendly. Only slight criticism was the number of dogs in such a small restaurant area. We had a massive labour poo sat right next to our table whose nose wss inches away from our plates and a Jack Russell under the next table who took an instant dislike to it. Quite daunting if you don't like dogs.
The White Hart – PenzanceVery welcoming, good food and really lovely olde world pub, really quaint. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was great and would highly recommend.
The White Hart – PenzanceWe had a beautiful meal here on Saturday 14/9/24. My husband had the Mussels and I had the Crayfish and Mussel linguine. It was perfect. Wonderfully cooked and tasted amazing. Topped off with a couple of Cornish gold ciders!! Their restaurant was clean and welcoming and the staff were lovely. Not sure of the guys name but he had short blond hair serving us and he was lovely, very helpful and polite. 100% recommend!!
Harbour View – FalmouthAmazing cream tea! Had the MOST wonderful cream tea. Lovely to sit outside overlooking the harbour, and what a sun trap. Service was quick and staff very friendly. Next time I will order the mussels as they looked lovely. Thank you.
Harbour View – FalmouthWe love the Sunday carvery and the steak nights. Good food and very reasonable prices. All staff are always welcoming and engaging. Entertainment is often on in the evenings, which is a bonus.
The Cornubia Inn – HayleSuperb meal that catered for my gluten and dairy free requirements. Staff were so helpful and knowledgable and gave me as a coeliac assurance that I could have a safe, enjoyable meal. Biscuit for our dog was also enjoyed by Simba
Harbour View – FalmouthGreat little place right on the waterfront with indoor and outdoor seating. Went with young children and dog. Loved the Mexican themed food, music and ambience. Good service and reasonable priced. Loved the mocktails - coconut and pineapple a favourite in large wooden bowls with slice of pineapple and a cherry !
Cha Cha Cha – FalmouthGreat quality food (had the fish & chips) and lovely genuine Cornish pub atmosphere in traditional 'olde-worldy' pub. Good beer also. Would highly recommend.
The White Hart – PenzanceBeautiful little Cornish pub which serves lovely food. Unfortunately it is ridiculously understaffed. During our visit there was just one young lady who had to cover the bar, take food orders, serve the food, collect the plates whilst continuing to cover the bar! No fault if her but we had to wait almost 1hr before our food arrived. The chef actually came to us and apologised for the slow service, explaining that the entire pub, including the kitchen was staffed by just 3 people. In short, lovely little pub, very friendly staff excellent food (stunning steaks) but very clearly the owners just want to maximise their profits and not pay for sufficient staff.
The White Hart – PenzanceWas staying locally for a holiday. Came in for dinner. Had to wait to put our order in, but food was fantastic so didn't mind the wait. Staff were friendly and the place was really nice. Will happily come back if I'm ever in the area again.
The White Hart – PenzanceWe have Breakfast here at leat once every time we stay in the area. Really adaptable on a pre-booking and when we arrived due to a last minute change. Team were si helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Thank you!
Harbour View – FalmouthFood, drinks and service superb on every visit during our 5 day stay. Eggs Benedict on the morning we left was the best ever. Crayfish Languine was superb. Highly recommend when in Falmouth
Harbour View – FalmouthHarbour View delights - moules as a starter followed by linguine - absolutely delicious and with a stunning backdrop of Falmouth harbour. The waitresses were very attentive and our whole experience for our party of six was appreciated. Thank you
Harbour View – FalmouthI was there today for late breakfast the food was brilliant bit on the expensive side but if you want quality it’s worth it.
Walkers Restaurants – NewquayGreat food, service from Dee excellent! Nice genuine local pub. We were table of 8 so not easy to get all meals top notch at same time and didn’t wait too long either! We will definitely be back!
The White Hart – PenzanceStopped by on first day of holidays for a late Sunday lunch. Both of us ordered roast beef. The meat was thickly sliced, tender, tasty and plentiful. Served with lovely roast potatoes, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding and tasty thick gravy. Also had two separate dishes of veg brought to our table with cauliflower cheese, green beans, baby carrots, peas and red cabbage. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Service was quite quick and there was some friendly banter in the pub between the manager, staff and a couple of locals enjoying a drink. My only lower mark about atmosphere is because it was so quiet we were the only couple in there at that time of day eating (5pm) but sure when busier that this lovely country pub would feel more alive. At £39 for two huge Sunday lunches and a beer each I consider it to be good value given the quality. A bonus for us was that its only 5 minutes walk from the caravan site we were staying at and it’s in a lovely peaceful little hamlet just up from the coastal towns of Marazion and Penzance.
The White Hart – PenzanceReally good pub food with a wonderful atmosphere helped along by the (although stretched) cheerful helpful bar tenders. We unintentionally went on a quiz night, and decided to join in - it was the busiest night ever, despite that our food arrived promptly and was delicious. A most entertaining and memorable evening! I highly recommend this gem of a pub!
