Bayleaf – BudeThe Arscott Arms is a lovely picturesque pub, nice and cosy with a public bar with pool table dart board etc. Lounge/restaurant offers lovely food; a bit on the pricey side but you get loads for your money and it is excellently cooked and presented. Will be going again very soon.
Arscott Arms – Launcestonoh and meant to mention - parking isn't a problem either, there's a big carpark literally about one minute walk away - The Grove Carpark!
Amanzi – FalmouthThe best service i have ever experienced - incredibly efficient and professional, but really friendly and laid back too, seems too good to be true! Great team of staff, and wonderful food. I am vegetarian and the veggie options are interesting and delicious, a rare treat! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, with incredibly tasty and fresh food, using local produce, and excellent service, oh and not too pricey either, I really wouldn't go anywhere else.
Amanzi – Falmouthjust had a meal there....pleasant clean decor ,,,service welcoming and efficient...the food fresh tasty and delightfully presented....good value for money...the fish dishes were scrumptious and adequate portions....highly recommended once you can find parking in this part of town.....!!!!!
Amanzi – FalmouthBrilliant food, awesome staff and nothing is too much trouble. IMO THE BEST in FALMOUTH. Never tasted such amazing food, its a real delight to dine there
Amanzi – FalmouthVisited for my Birthday. My Partner had his usual Sausage's and mash and said they were the best he has ever had. Anywhere! Quite something then! Our starters were both superb, the Asparagus with Poached Egg quite lovely as was his Welsh Rarebit. Really impressed and glad the so called "Michelin Chef" has now left as it got to much of a reputation for Gastropub and prices to match. Wonderful that St Kew is back to is fabulous best. Can't wait to go again now it's all back to being a good "Pub" again!
St Kew Inn – Bodminthe food at the crumplehorn was first class the portions were just what was needed after a hard days walking should be visited when in cornwall thank you
Crumplehorn Inn – PolperroWe've found our new favourite bar in St Ives!! Chilled out atmosphere, lovely food fantastic views! And kids are allowed in too- perfect. We'll definitely be back when we visit St Ives in October.
The Balcony Bar & Kitchen – St IvesEat here every time I visit St.Ives. The food is terrific and good sized portions too. Nothing on the menu is less than excellent. wide range of drinks to choose from including a great new local beer.
Cornish Deli – St IvesThe label of Pub Food does not do this place justice. It's a lovely restaurant with delicious, freshly cooked food. Seafood was fresh from the harbour! A great way to finish our day after the Eden Project.
The Waterwheel Country Inn and Restaurant – St Austelltook the family for Xmas meal in December, food was very good and service was excellent,we took my 2 year old grandson and they provided him with a main course meal and then refused to take payment for it.So much food I took my pudding home in a doggy bag, all locally sourced food and excellent quality. Have been subsequently as a couple and the food was excellent, loads of specials, starters and main courses and the wine menu is extensive and not overly expensive, recommend the Chenin Blanc.
Globe Inn, The – LostwithielWe stayed at Halwyn near St. Keverne and Roskilly's for about 13 straight years when the kids were young. Needless to say the first place we visited in Cornwall on the way was the ice cream parlour (then a wooden building overlooking the road). The choice of flavours was unbelievable, the family would even produce ice cream to order, notably banoffee, for the children. We all loved the place! We visited again recently and although there were a few changes the quality of the ice cream was just as we remembered it. Superb.
The Croust House at Roskillys Ice Cream – The LizardBloody good soups!
Royal Oak – LostwithielThe food is technically brilliant but the service grudging and ungracious. It makes all the difference if the chef makes an appearance at the tables and when the staff are friendly and helpful - rather than pointing you to a table, taking your order, bringing the food and taking your money!! Little touches make all the difference and it is this lack of attention to the detail that prevents me being a regular!! Lessons could be learned from the Blue Plate along the coast in Downderry.
The View – TorpointDecided to take my girlfriend to this restaurant whilst on holiday October 2011. Wish I hadn’t!! As we walked into the restaurant we were immediately struck by how cold it was (it was warmer outside) however we decided to give it a go! We ordered chicken satay and honey glazed ribs for starters. As the waitress took our order my girlfriend asked if it was possible to have some heating on. The waitress remarked that the heating was broken and would not be fixed for a couple of days. We accepted this and carried on. After a short period our starter turned up, however it was not what we ordered. This was soon put right.. The Satay Chicken we had was terrible, processed and rubbery, so we left it! The ribs were passable. For mains we had Sweet and Sour Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork and an egg fried rice. The Sweet and Sour sauce tasted vinegary and the Pork was very fatty. Also the Egg fried rice was salty! I decided that this was not acceptable so we paid for the starters and drinks only and promptly left! I have eaten Chinese food in many different countries and have been to a fair few Chinese restaurants in this country. This place is dreadful. Food not even fit for consumption. If you want good quality Chinese food go to Hoi Yan in Helston! It is the dogs b*****ks!
Dynasty Chinese Restaurant – PenzanceKota Kai is the stylish new venture by the Kota crew and is a fabulous venue overlooking the Harbour at Porthleven from every window. Seafood and an Indonesian twist prevail but even the Vegetarian Trio was to die for! Add a family playroom and a skittles alley and its pretty perfect!
Kota Kai – HelstonUnder new ownership, great menu and price, food was very well cooked. decor was light and fresh. great place to hangout and eat. well worth the visit.
