Warm relaxed atmosphere with GREAT food!! A' Hidden Jewel' well worth looking out.
The Wheelhouse – FalmouthIn Oct 2009, 7 hungry scuba divers enjoyed a lovely meal! The delicious food arrived hot (very good for such a large number of diners) and prompt :) The range of dishes was superb! Very polite and extremely reasonably priced. We'll be back!
Greenhouse Organic Restaurant – The LizardSimply an amazing experience. The view is breath taking and the service is fantastic. We were told by the waiter that lots of the food is sourced locally from Seaways Farm (which Juliet's husband runs) and you can taste that was definitely the case, we could even see the green house where the herbs and tomatoes were grown!! A visit to the Isles of Scilly is not complete without a visit to Juliet's Garden.
Juliets Garden Restaurant – Scilly IslesWithout a doubt the finest food in town
Austells – St Austellhad an excellent evening in the ivy house , the food was superb and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Child friendly . would highly recommended
Ivy House – PadstowWe have been to Tapenades many times and the food is fresh, local & best of all tasty! Whats more the staff are always polite & welcoming. Highly recommended for any occasion.
Tapenades – LiskeardWe really enjoyed our meal at the St Pirans, the food was very well cooked and presented, the staff were very friendly. Good value for money
St. Piran’s Inn – NewquayTapenades is the ultimate in eating out. Sue prepares wonderful food, using first class products which are beautifully cooked and presented. Mike is always very welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. The waiting staff are operate in a highly professional manner. All in all a first class restaurant.
Tapenades – LiskeardMy husband and I went to Nansloe Manor, Helston for lunch today, 14th November. What a memorable experience, from the moment we entered the hotel the staff were so welcoming and efficient. The food was delicious and we asked to see a sample dinner menu as we were so impressed and will be coming again. The decor and surroundings are impressive. The prices reflect the standard of quality of the food and service that you receive. We are almost afraid to advertise it as we'll never get a table again.
Nansloe Manor – HelstonThis is one of the best restaurants in Cornwall. The restaurant setting is fresh and contemporary as well as welcoming and intimate. Rob, the Maitre d, is super efficient and really friendly. The menu is varied and the Chef keeps adding new things which is exciting, particularly as I have been there about 5 times now within the last month. Last night we had a meal for 4 which was excellent in every respect. A few things I'd recommend for sure are: Starter - Sea Bream Oriental Laksa and Venison Carpaccio Main - Cornish Duck Leg Confit and Ben's [very special] Fish Pie Pudding - Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Cornish Cheese Board is amazing - in particular the small homemade parmesan biscuits with a poppyseed crust. All in all good food, good service, good location: good times
Ben’s Cornish Kitchen – MarazionVisited for Sunday lunch last weekend with my very fussy partner. The Navy is a gastro pub with an old school feel, we started with a lovely home made terrine with leaves followed by gorgeous roast beef-cooked pink, delicious gravy and a crispy and huge yorkshire pudding. Worth a visit just for that yorkshire alone!! Best Sunday Roast in Cornwall in our opinion. £8.95!
Navy Inn – PenzanceThis fantastic new venture offers sensational food, superb service and a relaxed, welcoming ambiance. Great value for money, and highly recommended - we've now visited twice and will definitely be back.
Ben’s Cornish Kitchen – MarazionHad a superb meal (for two) on Sat 30/10/09 - food was so well sourced, cooked and presented - staff so friendly and efficient. The ambience was professional but casual. The puddings (we had the one where they give you a sample of all desserts) are out of this world. Highly recommended.
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowIf you want an absolute WOW experience in dining, the Blue Plate in Downderry is for you! You are assured a warm welcome by the ever cheerful front of house staff; you will be comfortable at your table and the food will just be the very best Nick and his team can serve to you. It has been open three weeks and playing to packed houses every night - I have been four times and every time has been an uplifting experience - it is the talk of the village and unless you give it a try, you are missing out - badly!
Blue Plate The – TorpointWe always look forward to eating at the Greenhouse when we visit St Keverne, and this year we ate twice on consecutive nights. The food is excellent and imaginative, the welcome is warm and friendly, and the bill is always very reasonable. We will look forward to eating at the Greenhouse again next year, and would recommend it to anyone who loves eating good food in an informal setting
Greenhouse Organic Restaurant – The LizardExpensive. Average food. Bland chips. Pleasant but slow service.
Halzephron Inn, The – The LizardThis used to be a very good restaurant when it first opened, but successive changes of management have now ruined it. The last meal I had there (Saturday 11th October 09) was tasteless and overcooked. The waiting time for service is appalling and the new menu is not a patch on the old one. I have been eating at the Annapurna regularly since it opened; I will not be eating there again.
Annapurna – LiskeardHi we have moved to Australia and we are all missing our BANG BANG CHICKEN, is there any way that you could email us the recipe. A very happy bunch of pommies you would make!!
