One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroSuch excellent quality food and service for a sensible price. Did the developers at Carlyon Bay know Brett was coming, or were they just lucky that they are close to this restaurant? I look forward to many more visits, and not just on those special occasions.
Austells – St Austelli dined at Cribbs on Saturday 12th and was very impressed. The food was superb and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. I had the Hor d'oeuvres to start with and then had the monkfish dish, which looked amazing, which matched the taste, i would strongly recommend if in Falmouth that you check this place out. For a new up and coming restaurant there doing a bleeding good job. Tracey and David Griffiths
Cribb Dine and Lounge – FalmouthWe had our wedding reception at the edge in May 2007. Everyone will say that there wedding was perfect but ours really was! That is very much thanks to Penny (the manager) Ben (the Chef) and the rest of the team. We booked the restaurant on the basis of the reviews we had seen on the internet. We are not locals and so it was very much hit and miss how it would go. 23 very happy and contented wedding guests left the edge after our reception. There wasn't a mumble or grumble to be heard. the food and service were excellent. If the staff know that you are celebrating they will really pull out the stops. A special place for our special day - we will certainly be back
The Edge – Port IsaacMy wife and I were recommended to Austells restaurant by friends who had recently been there. We were overwhelmed by the experience. Everything was perfect. The service you could not falter. The food was the best we had ever eaten and we have eaten in some fantastic restaurants around the world. I really like the choice of wines. Everybody has their likes and dislikes concerning wines. If everybody liked the same, we would not want a choice. Their wine list suited us, and in my opinion was not expensive. We felt it was worth the 32 mile round trip to go there and will certainly be going back.
Austells – St Austellmy husband and I went to Austells last week, the food was to die for, everything very fresh and home made, the staff were very polite and friendly and made us feel very special. we will certainly be going again and telling all our friends
Austells – St AustellI only have praise for this restaurant. The food, service and surroundings all of the highest quality. Brett (the chef) has created a really high class and varied menu. If you are in the vicinity you must book a table, you will not be disappointed.
Austells – St AustellWent here for my anniversary and was blown away! You really taste the flavours, so fresh and all locally supplied. The wines were great value, and went so well with the food - thanks Jamie for recommending so well! We all liked the way the chef, Brett, came out to ask how we enjoyed it and chatted about his plans. Best in Cornwall!
Austells – St AustellThis is one of our favourite restaurants in Truro. Been waiting for something like this for ages. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it for the quality. Always very clean and staff so friendly. We like the way you see them cooking in front of you- great place highly recommend trying!
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroI first ate here in April. I will eat here again and again and again. I live in Plymouth and consider the journey well worth the undertaking, spending the time anticipating the gastro-delights that are on offer. Perhaps other restaurateurs should pay a visit and learn.
Austells – St AustellVery good food, plenty of choice and selection always a lengthy process as everything sounds so wonderful. This is a Pub though and it's prices are rather high so it's a treat rather than your usual Pub meal out.
Maltsters Arms – WadebridgeExcellent atmosphere, delicious food and great service by friendly staff who were attentive but not pushy. Thoroughly recommended
Rajpoot – St IvesWe have eaten at the Xen bar numerous times and have always found the service, quality of food and the overall experience very very good. We will always recommend the Xen bar for a perfect oriental meal at a very fair price. But do not take our word for it, go and try it for yourself but pre booking is always a good idea. Enjoy your meal.
Xen Noodle Bar – TruroI love this restaurant, Since the new owners have taken over I have seen the food quality just get better and better. It's great to finally have a local restaurant serving fresh (not bought in) food... I met the chef Bret, he seemed very passionate. My wife and I are going back next week again!! Give it a go!
Austells – St AustellI have been three times and every one was excellent! Well worth the cost.
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowWe went to 'The Cat' last night to watch Martin Harley. It was fantastic he played on the balcony so everyone could see him, the place was buzzing. The drinks, food and staff as always were amazing, this is the best bar in Truro and has become the only place my friends and I go. I recommend it to everyone especially on the live music nights
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroStopped here for lunch on the way back to our hotel. Simple but tasty food using real, fresh ingredients. Had a welcoming and cosy feel to it - we got so settled on the terrace watching the surfers that we ordered coffee and cakes and stayed a lot longer than we meant to! Dog-friendly - water bowls provided on the terrace. Would recommend it - there is something slightly magical about the location!
Bodhi’s – Newquayeating at the new Austell? restaurant wasn? just a fantastic eating experience, but a fabulous venue, Jamie (restaurant manager)was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wines to match, service staff impeccable, and at the end of the meal even Brett (chef proprietor) came out to chat to the guests. i recommend this new restaurant to anyone that wants quality.
