Lusty Glaze – Newquayfantastic location with the food and atmosphere to match
Lusty Glaze – NewquayIt is a lovely little place situated in a Cornish fishing village. The food was great, the menu had a good selection and the friendly helpful staff made it a great place to eat out with the whole family.
Moonflower – HelstonThe Garrack Hotel sits atop St Ives, where Phil Thomas served his scallops on a very unusual black olive mash, with Sakura leaves and grain mustard dressing. No time for a lengthy engagement, this combination rushed straight into marriage! The taste of the mash and the texture of the scallops caused a gleeful conversation in my mouth which hadn? anticipated such a happy blend. The purple leaves, like clover tasting of rocket, with the mustard dressing beautifully complimented the perfectly succulent seafood.
Garrack Restaurant – St IvesI can thoroughly recommend Coffee Traders in Truro. Great choice of hot and cold food, all freshly prepared and cooked to order; ranging from a toasted teacake right up to a cooked meal. Items include cakes and pastries, toasted sandwiches, home-made soups, baguettes and wraps, plus lots more, offering great value for money. The café has bright, airy surroundings, and the staff members are both friendly and willing to accommodate. A baby change facility is available on the first floor. If the aroma of freshly perked coffee doesn? tempt you, then nothing will!
Coffee Traders – TruroA wonderful meal and children made to feel very welcome. Great atmosphere, we will be returning soon!!
Warehouse Bistro – FalmouthA beautiful meal with starter and main cooked to perfection and a wonderful dessert. After eating in the pricier Restaurants in Padstow we decided that we liked the experience every bit as much in No6 if not more. The quality was every bit as good as the top end Restaurants; that? not to say that the food is cheap, it isn? its mid range. Definitely good value for money. We also found that many diners were local people which is good testament to the quality of the food, decor & service.
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowAlways love going to the Bash Baagan - there is a lovely friendly atmosphere and the food is excellent.
Bash Baagan – WadebridgeRelaxed and informal. Had a private feel which would be welcome come high season. Beautiful food - fresh produce from the surrounding area (both land and sea). Absolutely delicious. Good service. Well recommended! I plan on returning this year whilst holidaying down that way. After two weeks away and not eating how you'd like, Sophia's was a God send. Thank you!
Sophias – PenzanceVery pleased to have experienced such a memorable meal at Sagor. The food was exquisite and the staff were very friendly. I had visited Sagor during my holidays in Launceston, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that offers both traditional & contemporary indian food.
Sagor Tandoori Restaurant – LauncestonOne of the best meals I have had here, perfectly cooked, tender, salt & pepper squid followed by an awesome fillet steak. Great puddings, dessert wine and a superb bottle of Burgundy. Perfect food on a wet night.
Alba – St IvesI enjoyed a fantastic New Year's Ve here and want to go back for every celebration on the calendar.
Wreckers – St AustellAte there on a cold February Saturday-had to book they turned lots of people away. Excellent food had a mix of early evening menu and a la carte, very good rose half bottle of wine. Ask for one of the tables in the window upstairs, for a stunning view of the harbour.
Alba – St IvesVery pleasant warm and cosy for a wintry nice, Busy even on a Sunday evening, the Lebanese style soup was wonderful. All was carefully cooked.
St Andrews Street Bistro – St Ivesnice but quiet
East Meets West – St AustellIn need of comforting food on a drab mid week evening, I knew what I needed was available at Tabbs new place. The Parsnip soup with toasted sesame oil was a revelation, served with moorish home baked rolls. The main of red mullet was perfectly cooked and came with squid ink tagliatelli and a delicate creme of snow pea and mint, side orders of pommes boulangere and green beans made for a satisfying meal. Superb!
Tabbs Restaurant – TruroThis St. Ives restaurant is very popular, even out of season. Having tried it for the first time, I now know why. Probably the best soups I have ever had (I tried my wife's also), a splendid locally supplied fillet steak and perfectly presented monkfish. Staff were particularly friendly and the whole experience was one I want to repeat.
Seafood Cafe The – St IvesOur New Years Eve was fantastic!! We have eaten in the restaurant many times and been delighted with both food and service but the Bay really excelled even its own very high standards for this event. In fact we all agreed that we had not eaten better quality food anywhere...and we have travelled far. The staff were superb, attentive, friendly and fun, maybe the pea shooters were a step too far but hey it was New Year, and one that we will remember.
