excellent food, in a wonderful atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble

We got married at Alverton Manor Hotel this month and can honestly say that it was the best day of our lives. The food was superb and the service impeccable. The restaurant is excellent and extremely good value for money and they use locally sourced food where possible. The staff are friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic place to eat. Bookings definately necessary.

well i was recommended this restaurant by a good friend,well it was a saturday afternoon 1.30am i was the only person there eating, well i thought the service should be good, the food when i come was great but sort your staff out waitress larking about in the kitchen,glad i did'nt have kids with me,lots of swearing! its a shame because the front of house let down the pub!

A real treat - superb sea food served by friendly and helpful staff. A must for visits to SE Cornwall

I would go back to newquay just to visit this pizzeria. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is like being in rome itself, outstanding!

Excellent and dedicated Health Food Shop and vegetarian Cafe. Great salads, inexpensive meals.

Definitely the best restaurant we visited while we were in Newquay (June 2004). The food was brill (especially the chilli) and the view was fantastic. Visited the Bowgie Inn 3 times during our holiday.

Brilliant all around.

We had heard about this place so we drove down from Devon, parking can be a problem in the town but the building was great, it was a bit windy so we ate inside. It was a very busy lunchtime and the staff were flat out and a little overstretched, it may be teething trouble but they didnt seem to be very confident and fluid. Anyway the food options and the drinks were excellent and the interior smart. We had a decent brunch and will probably return when they have settled in.

A great little Italian restaurant. The food is fantastic and the waiters/waitresses are polite and helpful. There can be a reasonable wait for food when they are busy though and I'm disappointed that they do not appear to take advanced bookings for less than 10 people. Still well worth a visit though.

Now renamed The View, new owner and chef inplace, it's early days but the food was amazing, mainly fish dishes, you wouldn't want to eat anything else looking out across Rame Head and Whitsand Bay. The hot chocolate mousse was to die for.

Friends brought us here while we were on holiday. The setting is spectacular. The structure was made entirely of wood which had a fabulous smell. The food was very good and if the service was a wee bit haywire it was just due to teething problems as they had just opened. Plenty of staff though. It will be on my places to visit list when I return to Cornwall.

Wonderful evening, great location and totally vegetarian and vegan. Will be going again and again - proper food influences from around the world.

The food is the best Thai that I have eaten, try the Tom Yum Gai soup it is to die for. I try this every time i visit a thai, this was the best ever!

Friendly atmosphere. Food is always good, with generous portions.

Great food at a reasonable price and the waitresses were really helpful. The best Thai food we have had in England. We shall be going back soon!
