Five Degrees West – FalmouthFrom the moment you walk in staff are welcoming and friendly. The quality of the food is exceptional and the service cannot be faulted. We visit the restaurant each month. The menu is so extensive it is impossible to get bored although we have our favourite dishes!
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroA modern very well run bar.Imaginative food well presented by friendly trained staff.Thoroughly recommended advisable to book as it is being discovered
Five Degrees West – FalmouthThe waters echo blue, and for a moment, your eyes shielded from the sun as you scan the yacht filled bay, you are back in the med. The set three course dinner at £33.00 continous the theme, pan fried red mullet for me and a bruschetta of pate negra and tomato for my partner, both light and satisfying. Followed by local raised fillet of beef with gratin potatoes and for me seared John Dory with mash potato balanced with brocoli and pancetta. We finish our wine and attacked the desserts, of panettone bread and butter pudding off set delightfully with cinnamon ice cream, and the local cheese board with home made oak cakes. Relaxed and satisfied we pondered the evening now darken the light-house pale in the warm sky. For a no fuss, relaxing evening out with simple clean food echoing the med you could not do better than the Tresanton
Hotel Tresanton – Trurowhat a great place set in the lovely village of Chapel Amble, staff very very friendly and helpful, in fact we were on holiday for 7 nights and we eat at The Maltsters for 6 nights, fresh fish, daily specials and they used lots of local produce. cant wait till we go back again!
Maltsters Arms – Wadebridgethis has got to be the best indian restaurant in cornwall by far. great food and great service, we now visit the restaurant a least twice a month.
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroThis has to be the best budget eatery in St Ives, where do I start? The Real Ales, The Belgian bottled beers, the great wine list at no margin or the food that is well above expectations. It's as if there is a award winning chef that should be in an expensive restaurant cooking in a pub! Fresh fish and meats are used instaed of frozen everything. Full marks and keep it up.
Castle Inn – St IvesI took two vegetarian friends out one Sunday evening for a treat, we sat in the conservatory and chose a decent bottle of rose bubbly to sip and were brought some canapes on the house. We sat at a a window table and soaked up the atmosphere, the veggies were very well catered for and thought the food was excellent, large servings and well presented. I chose the steak which cut like butter and came with 'hand made chips'. The desserts were beautiful and the wine list had a good choice of half bottles so everybody was happy. Well done the Bay!
The Garden Bar and Restaurant – PenzanceMy fiance' and myself have eaten in The Bistro on a number of occassions and the meals have always been wonderful, the Sunday lunches are the best in town , the owners are always friendly and the service is very good. I live in London and go down to St Ives every couple of weeks and you'd be hard pushed to find the quality of food served in the Bistro anywhere in London.
Rhubarbs – St IvesThis was our first visit to Alba. Fantastic food, great wine list, breathtaking views, the whole package. Attention to detail such as canapes with our drinks, a gift from the kitchen and homemade bread while we waited for our starters, were a welcome touch as were the delicious homemade chocolates which came with our coffee. The shellfish starter tasted as though it had just left the sea, and the cornish beef fillet melted in the mouth. A cornish Strawberry taster dessert was amazing , 6 small desserts on one plate. A truly memorable evening.
Alba – St IvesOn a day out to St Ives we had lunch. We chose a special deal which was a Pizza + drink for £8.95 together with a Pasta dish. It was superb, freshly cooked and very tasty. Because it was such a lovely day the views of the beach where all the people were sunbathing was an extra.
Onshore Restaurant – St IvesIt is the best Indian Restaurant in Newquay because of the food, ambiance, price and best of all its views overlooking the sea. It is well worth a visit
New Maharajah The – NewquayI have visited the Mexican on many an occasion and have enjoyed everything about it. It is authentic and caters very well for large parties. They have sufficient room for hen and stag parties together with the romantic diners. Its location is excellent for having a meal and then going clubbing.
Mexican Cantina – NewquayAs I was travelling to St Ives...no seriously, Whilst I was eating in St Ives I happened on the Ocean Grill; a first floor eatery that was half hidden by two awful tat shops - so keep your eyes peeled. And, don't be fooled by the hideous orange roller blind either. Once inside, or more importantly, once on the terrace you'll be seated to gaze upon glorious views of the town and distant seashore and treated to sumptious food served by welcoming waiting staff - who actually live in the town and can answer a multitude of questions. And, for a price that would please both a prince and a pauper.
Ocean Grill – St IvesProbably the best place to eat in St.Ives. I had beef fillet which was cooked to perfection. I had the chocolate trio for dessert, again a tastebud tantaliser. would reccommend anyone to go there
Alba – St IvesWe had a pleasant evening, my starter was very small and a little disapointing, however overall it was a nice meal, we thought the attention to detail was good and the staff very nice. A little overpriced to visit often but a smart venue.
Alba – St IvesThe best Chinese/Cantonese restaurant i have ever been to and its in cornwall!!! Excellent menu and the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I went there after a friend recommended we check it out and we've been back again and again. The setting is really cosy, a little like a cavern, nice for a romantic meal. i cant stress enough the fact that you really need to pay this little gem of place a visit.
Sea Palace – PenzanceA lovely chilled out place to eat, good views, nice people, food ok. The decor is lovely and it is always welcoming
