The Red Lion – CoventryGreat food, and great service. A really lovely pub and would definitely go back if visiting the area again.

The Red Lion – CoventryGood service , beautiful food as usual , soup really tasty , steak perfectly cooked, 2 dishes off special 's menu nicely presented and very tasty , always book a table as you don't want to be disappointed because the food is super
The Red Lion – CoventryFabulous lunch, 2 courses for £16. Great food, service and price. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
The Red Lion – CoventryAs usual service was good prices fair my only criticism would be that they do not offer lighter bites or pensioners meals we do not all have the appetite of a manual worker and as a result food is wasted
The Red Lion – CoventryFood was good and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had service was good and great value for money
The Red Lion – CoventryNot the best on this occasion. Sausages overcooked and tasteless my husband didn’t eat even one. Starter and desert fine usually much better than this overall
The Red Lion – CoventryLovely place, food always great and good quality
The Red Lion – CoventryIt was a really lovely experience. The food was great and the personnel really nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Also I like the idea of having sisha garden
Aqua Food and Mood – CoventryWent here Friday 3rd Aug. What a fantastic place to visit. Only 10 minutes from home and I discovered this pub. The staff were young and fantastic a credit to their age group. As for the food from the first of 3 courses to the last lick on my spoon was beautiful and fresh and very reasonably prices, book soon people you will not be disappointed. Jon Dickinson (very happy customer 5 stars)
The Red Lion – CoventryFood was lovely and the service was excellent. Not a bad price for meals and drinks for 5 people. Plenty of choice including a specials board. Will definitely go again and would recommend.
The Red Lion – CoventryService excellent We have eaten off the menu a couple of times & it was goof However Sunday lunch was dissspointing 1st when they served we were nearly wearing it normally I do have gravey but I forgot to request it be served separately (my mistake) but the dinner was swimming in it overcooked roast soggy parsnips stuffing couldn't work out the flavour brocoli nice cabbage tasteless & dry Very dissapointed
The Red Lion – CoventryI booked a late table 20:45 for 4 of us. The staff were friendly, we have been here several times before and rarely have a complaint, but it felt like we were being rushed, different people kept coming over to collect plates and glasses (even if only 1 glass was empty), but was not asked if we wanted more drinks. My husband and youngest son had the pie which is always a winner with us, but they both said it was quite dry. A lot of the chips were rock hard too (over fried). The vegetables were barely cooked. I had the pasta which I had never had before, it was like they had cooked the pasta, heated a tin of tomato soup and mixed them together. There was a lot of sauce. Then, they put the garlic bread on top of it which made it go soggy. We were very disappointed with this visit. Maybe we won’t book a late table again.
The Red Lion – CoventryAnother fine meal. My favourite is the Steak pie but my message to the Chef is please cook the vegetables. They were cold and hard so not really edible. Our last two visits had the uncooked veg also
The Red Lion – CoventryGreat food on a Friday night Best fish and chips Unfortunately when very busy you can wait up to 1 hr and 30min for your food and the staff do not advise you when your ordering
The Red Lion – CoventryI’ve been here many times before, always had lovely food, although even when quiet the service can be slow. We came for a meal last night, and because the weather was nice there was a lot more tables taken. There was a sign when ordering saying a 40 minute wait, which this was fine as it was a lovely evening outside. An hour had passed and we had no food. I went inside to just enquiry how much longer the food we be. I had a very stern staff member simple say there a wait on the food. I said I fully understand and was aware of this but it has now been an hour. The response I had was ‘well yes it’s 40 minutes to an hour wait right now and it has been like for the last two hours.’ I was quite took back by this as there was no apology or seem to want to help or chase this. We waited a further 20 minutes for the food to come out which was then the worse meal we have had there. There were tables around who had been waiting a lot less around who were getting drink desserts / drinks for the wait. We were that disappointed we just wanted to leave straight away and got nothing offered to us for the inconvenience. We would of just walked away knowing the wait was 1hour 20 minutes. However at this point of waiting that long a lot of places would of either been shut or have stopped serving so we had no choice to wait. Really disappointing for a lovely place.
