Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a lovely family Sunday lunch in this unique pub run by Grizedale Arts. The locally sourced, home cooked food was enjoyed by all of us. We all agreed that the mix of original 16/17th century features combined with contemporary handmade furniture and artefacts works together well to create a very engaging interior. The staff are friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThe food was unbelievable, the steak pie is my favourite! I cannot fault the meal at all, although my starter never arrived, it was a blessing in disguise. The most awful part to be honest was the forgotten gift my mother in law to be got us, me and my partner had got engaged that morning. The Pheasant being normally one of our favourite places to eat. She had paid on for a bottle of champagne and some congratulations stuff as a surprise for us, which was not on our table upon arrival. After eating our meal and leaving we got a text to ask if we enjoyed our surprise, she was completely devastated. It was blamed on being busy - which I have seen it a lot busier. I am not sure on whether I will be returning again, knowing you could forget something on such a special occasion.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was excellent and catered for several allergies really well. Would certainly visit again
